Everyone attending and the employees were cognizant of the packed space and moved around accordingly, as the store doesn't seem equipped to host large crowds. To me, MDL is kind of a hybrid between a very small mom and pop and a mega liquor store like total wine. You're going to find a good selection of everything but you may not find EVERYTHING if that makes sense. The prices are similarly marked - cheaper than a super small place, but again hard to compete with a mega store. I go here mostly because it's close to my house and has decent selection, is local (I think!), and has friendly staff. They also usually carry seasonal releases from local breweries and distilleries which is nice to know you can count on them to have new releases in stock when they come out. Overall this is a solid place and I'm super grateful to have it in my backyard.

Not just by a day or two, but WEEKS or even a MONTH past the expired date on the bottles. This issue is not limited to just one brewery/distributor, but something I've seen with many different labels in-store. A tell-tale sign is when they are still selling winter seasonals like the Deschuttes Red Chair in mid May! On four different occasions I have brought this to the attention to the store mgr on duty, to no avail. The latest incident involved expired Green Flash and Deschuttes labels. Buyer beware! They have a fairly decent selection (not as good as Lukas, but better than the typical neighborhood store) and fairly typical prices, but apathetic Management that would rather sell expired craft beer to us than deal with a clearly recurring problem. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

The refrigerated section is huge. And many of the prices are better than in other liquor stores! AND they have great Sunday hours! Plus, the staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoy just looking around because there are so many interesting varieties, specialty bottles, and labels, and the beer/hard ciders/canned sparkling beverage packaging is a riot of color and design! They also have options I haven't seen in other stores, and a lot of airline-size bottles and shots to choose from. Also some THC-infused beverages and gummy products.
