However the response was that they don't install parts purchased from the customer . I had a follow up with a question which was why don't they install parts pre purchased - because I'd like to have a warranty on my parts . The response was "we don't provide warranty " , which I knew they wouldn't provide warranty on my parts since I pre purchased my part with its own warranty and they didn't answer if they do provide warranty on their own parts and labor . My main question was why don't they install pre purchased parts and I was hoping they gave me another option alternative option. It was a missed opportunity was they didn't give me another option for the service, such as offering me warranty on parts and labor if I used their service/business . Maybe even educating me as a future client as to the why their business doesn't do that . Overall the response was quick but my question wasn't answered . Dealership also quoted me that i needed a new harness along with the part he replaced - after further inspection from Zap he saw it was just not plugged in properly and saved me a ton of money! I've never known a mechanic that honest (the dealership surely wasn't) - he could have easily replaced the part and charged me for it but he was honest and for that he will forever get my business.
