They gave us the "carfax" (a different car report company that gives you the same amount of juicy details), negotiated for replacing a mirror in the car I ended up picking, stayed late to assist us in our decision, and followed up with us. On top of that, they honored the verbal trade-in value for my previous car. This location does not have the classic car collection of Gulf to Bay- definitely more modern cars, some luxury, some muscle, some SUVs. But it was within my price range, after the trade in. The two cars I narrowed down to were both sellihg at their Kelley Blue Book value- what a wonderful surprise! They did not talk down to me as a woman, kept me in the loop, and were straight talkers. The Mini Cooper / BMW dealer OF Clearwater, came back with a $5000 quote on a car with under $35000 miles on it. I took it directly to my mechanic that builds and races jet cars. He couldn't believe it. Hence, Carmax was honest. Mini dealer? Completely dishonest. Carmax is a good company that I trust. This is the second car I've purchased from them. They called me stupid, I didn't know what I was talking about and that I needed to do my homework when I asked for the sensor lights to be fixed and other safety issues.
