My wife's vehicle was rear ended a few weeks ago. Larry Walker & Sons Body Shop was an option and…read moreafter meeting with their rep, hearing about their services and getting an estimate I decided to go with them. I was very specific with request for a luxury car (that didn't smell like smoke) comparable to our car needing repair for rental but we were greeted with a small RAV4? Sized car. I refused the vehicle and then started looking for a car myself. It takes a few days to line up a luxury rental so work had to be delayed. I called State Farm & told them we needed to find a suitable vehicle and they were accommodating with increasing coverage if necessary. We found a suitable model in Asheboro and Enterprise brought it to the local office but it smelled like freshly smoked marijuana. So no go with that vehicle. I was ambushed when I asked to meet with the owner Brian Owens. He couldn't maintain eye contact when we met so I suspected he was upset. He was totally focused on our '24 Genesis not being a luxury vehicle..saying BMW, AUDI, Mercedes, Lexus were not in the same class. And it was a "Hyundai". Same price ranges and similar performance but somehow not the same class. Insulting. The new owner Brian Owens is insulting and doesn't take responsibility for what his business represents as services provided. His phone script (that he says he wrote) states that they work with your insurance company to set up car rentals to make it easy for customers to use their service. He did not handle the situation professionally. I even asked that we discuss in an office or away from the front desk but he insisted on being loud and confrontational in front of his front desk staff. Not a nice guy. After our encounter I called the front desk and apologized for our discussion that had to happen in front of them. I doubt this is the culture previous owner Larry Walker wants as a legacy and I feel badly for the staff who work in Brian's toxicity.

I was rear ended Wednesday night. Thursday I called her insurance company and was told by the…read moreinsurance adjuster that Caliber Collision of High Point was a "Preferred Repair Shop" and closest to my zip code so I agreed to have my car towed there for repairs. Thursday evening I get a text message from Caliber with a link. The link takes me to a website that says my repair is started and my estimated pick up will be June 21. So I called the shop to find out what they decided needed to be replaced on my car. The man who answered the phone was absolutely horrible to me. He said that nothing had been or would be done to my car until I came up to check it in as they have a process. I explained to him I didn't know I had to come into the shop before the estimate and that I had prior obligations the next day and wasn't sure if I could make it to the shop before they closed. He then started yelling at me and told me perhaps they weren't the right shop for me and he had the right to refuse service. This man who said he was the manager was rude, short tempered and mean. I haven't had to have a car repaired due to an accident in over 18 years and I'm not familiar with the process. But I will never forget the way this man made me feel. Today I called insurance back and I was able to get the car taken to another shop in High Point where so far I have had no problems and friendly, kind people have helped me. After being in a wreck with my 18 month old son and the stress and anxiety of the accident, getting a rental car and a new car seat and my car repaired I can't believe this man was such a bully when I just called up to see what they were going to do with the car after they text me. I would not suggest anyone ever deal with a shop that has leaders who choose to treat other people so horrendously when all I did was ask what they wanted to do to the car.
