Highly, HIGHLY recommend Mike's! After back to back injuries to the same knee in an 18mos timespan and as many surgical repairs - I'm left with permanent balance issues. This has left me unable to wear anything but sneakers to ensure my balance and lessen a slip risk. With that being said, I had 2 pairs of favorite boots that I've had 20+ years, and of all the shoes I've had to part with, these I just couldn't. Simple, still "in style" super low wedge boots, identical pairs in different colors. I'd beat them to Hell, but haven't been able to wear them in over 2 years because of the injuries. I needed to get my doctor prescribed orthopedic shoe inserts repaired as the leather portion of the insert started to disintegrate, revealing the foam. If I sent them back to get repaired through my doctor, they would cost over $250 to repair. I thought this was Micheal's shop which is where I normally go. Even though it wasn't my usual spot, I decided to get a belt punched here anyways. I explained to the tailor that I don't cut my belts correctly myself and was seeking help. The expensive belt ended up being cut too short for my liking and the tailor made me feel it was my fault and I ended up apologizing. He also charged me 25$... Micheal only charged me 5$. I went to get an estimate on repairing the soles of my boots because it was slightly lifting. To my surprise it cost more to fix it than to buy something new. That's fine since that's his prices, but I didn't appreciate him tearing apart the entire sole of the boots which was fairly new btw. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He should've made sure I agreed to his prices before tearing everything apart.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now my boots are in worse condition than what I took it in for.
