Most recent example: I saw Cathy because I needed a pair of custom-made shoes to seamlessly transition from walking boot (fractured ankle) to normal shoe. Without even having to wait, Cathy measured my feet, stuck them into a block of soft compressible foam to capture precise imprints, helped determine my leg length discrepancy, and showed me 3 pairs of shoes explaining their pros/cons. The shoes I bought have superior slip resistance, are all-weather protected, and promote ankle stability -- ideal for returning to the School Crossing Guard job I love. If you have a bunion, wide feet, or any sort of foot "uniqueness" where most shoes don't work out for you, I'd recommend you go to Cesar's Shoe World! I was in Vegas for vacation, and after about a day or two of walking around all the mega-resorts, my feet were killing me! My feet are wide, and I have a bunion on my right foot, so needless to say, my right foot was feeling it and I soon started limping around everywhere. I have a pair of wide Hokas, but it still didn't feel like my toes had any room and while the cushion felt great, my heels were still getting sore. That's where I learned of Cesar's Shoe World and sought their help. Suzanne, Cesar's daughter, helped me out and I learned so much about what my feet needed! I got shoes with a wide and spacious toe box, and had lots of support for my entire foot. I was so used to shoes with lots of cushion that walking in shoes with layers of support in the sole was a lot to get used to, but the comfort was night and day! I felt more comfortable walking around, my feet felt better and had more room to move around, and more importantly, I know what to look for in my future pairs. I was looking to get a pair of sneakers to walk in for everyday use and a pair of more formal shoes for work or date nights. They had a lot of styles and brands that were able to fit my needs (wide feet, spacious toe box, lots of support, and needs to look cool!) I ended up getting two pairs of sneakers and one pair of a more formal shoes. I'll be the honest, the price isn't the cheapest, but it was about the same as I'd pay for new Hokas, and at least I know the shoes fit well and I could wear them out the store. I also really wanted to go into the store to try out some pairs because while online shopping is convenient, you never know how the shoes will fit until you get them, and if they don't work out, the return/exchange policies for some of these online stores is like jumping through ten hoops of fire while doing a backflip and balancing a ball on your head! I was very happy with my experience at Cesar's Shoe World, Suzanne is an amazing person to work with, and I'm very grateful she took the time to teach me about what features would provide the best fit and feel for my feet. read more

I'm in Las Vegas on vacation. I brought my most comfortable shoes and my feet are hurting walking around. I've been buying expensive shoes and going to a pediatrist trying to find shoes that fit my problem feet for years..., 6.5 extra wide toe box with a tailor's bunion. In desperation, I came on yelp and read up on shoe stores here in Vegas. Cesar's reviews and the orthotic types of shoes sounded hopeful And off I went. Cathy greeted me quickly and sat me down and measured my foot, I told her about my shoe woes and she told me that looking at my feet I needed more depth, not wider than I had. She asked my style (I told her at this point my style is comfort) and she went back and brought out an armful of shoes. She helped me find the very best one for my feet and when I walked around, my toes were so happy I heard a choir of angels singing. I was a bit wary when I saw the building, but the inside is great and had a wonderful selection of shoes and the Cathy knew just what I needed. Awesome store. Yes, you have to pay to get measured - but that's due to people coming in, browsing then buying online. I don't blame them. The cost of the measurement is applied towards your purchase, so if you buy shoes from them, there is no cost for the measuring. It's totally worth it! I have very wide feet and have always had problems finding comfortable shoes. Jesse actually measured my foot - old school with carbon paper/pressure test and everything, then made several excellent recommendations. I couldn't be more pleased! Indeed I'm getting ready to order a replacement pair from them right now. If you have a hard time finding comfortable shoes (one pair of shoes I tried on had two slightly different inserts and I immediately detected the difference - such is my cursed life), it pays to go to a store with real pro's who understand the anatomy of a foot, how the various manufacturers make their shoes, and can then expertly guide you to well fitting shoes. Buyer Beware!!!!! This place will nickel & dime you! Just for them to size your feet & get shoes that are your size in their inventory, they will charge you $40. They will waive that charge if you buy the shoes from them. That's a pretty shady sales practice! I've never seen any retail shoe store do this sales practice. Although Cesar's son Jesse tries to place the blame elsewhere, I have a file 1/2" thick showing how long we tried to get Jesse to correct his blatant miscalculation of prosthetic shoes for my aging sister. The file includes the visits, photos of his attempts to widen the shoes instead of lengthening them (he gave her size 8 when we fit her for 8.5), added velcro, and a physical therapist's analysis. Jesse absolutely refused to correct his mistake and give her the correct size. On a recent trip of Las Vegas, my partner chose "style over substance" in the casual shoes he brought with him and was quickly rewarded with blisters on both feet before the first day was out. Being that he wears a 12 4E, finding shoes for him isn't an easy task. We found Cesar's in the phone book and figured it was worth a try. The staff was very helpful and had the exact shoe he wanted (a New Balance) in his size. After a quick check of the internet we found their pricing to be within line and no waiting. Beware. This store has a posted policy of no refunds no exchanges no returns which they use to sell you shoes which do not fit and then refuse to take them back. I recently paid $179 for a pair of sandals that were two full sizes too small. The reason I couldn't notice that in the store was that the sandals had adjustable straps in back and two on top which made the discomfort take a half day to show up.
