I've been trying to schedule free consultation with Mike for over 2 weeks now, but it seems like he's not interested in any new business at this point, just ignoring my voicemails. About two weeks ago, I left him voicemail asking if he can visit us that weekend, but he left me voicemail explaining he couldn't on those dates but suggested other dates. I called him back, but he didn't pick up, so I left him another voicemail saying the following week would work for me instead. He never called back to confirm. I called him a week later and left him voicemail AGAIN, asking him to confirm with me what days would work best for him. AGAIN, he never called me back. Whatever the situation is, I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my beloved pet with someone who goes MIA for weeks. I'm glad I found this out before I used Mikey and Shelley's service. read more

They are so awesome !!!!!! My mom is 90 and has a 17 yr old dog with issues . Called old age blind /DEF . His walker Chris was amazing !!!! I'm so grateful we found them and they were in our lives !!!! It was very difficult to move away from Redwood City because of them .... Chris would also look out for my mom . She lived by herself in Senor living place. One day I could not get a hold of her I called him he said he thought she was sleeping did not hear or see her . Living two hours away was very difficult Chris went all through her apt looking for her on the floor then looked out side where she would not have been out at that time . Cannot say enough good things about Mike and Shelly. We left for a long trip and I was very nervous about leaving our two young cats at home. But when we came home we found our cats happy and healthy. Mike and Shelly sent us almost daily updates via text (complete with photos). My animals and I love Mike and Shelly! I primarily contacted them to walk my dog a few days a week, but also have cats that they can look after if I'm out of town for the weekend! The first visit is a "meet and greet" and both Mike and Shelly came to meet the animals. They asked great questions and I really felt like they listened to my routine to make their visits as easy as possible for my critters! My dog can be a little shy of strangers, but warmed up to both of them quickly. They knew how to approach her in a way that was on her terms! Mike is the one who walks my dog during the week. The first time or two she was a little shy of Mike when he came with me at work. But each time he calmly reassured her and won her over. I appreciated that Mike set up a stable routine for my dog when he entered and left the house. My dog came to know exactly what to expect and looked forward to his visits! (i'm one of those pet people that leaves a web cam on through the day just so I can check in if needed. I NEVER felt like I needed to check in on Mike, but would occasionally take a look and could see how happy she was to see him) For the first few visits Mike sent text updates with a photo to let me know everything was going well. There aren't enough stars available to give Mike and Shelly. They have looked after our dog and cat for about a year now. We started with them coming in 2x a day when we were out of town. When we came back home both pets seemed well-taken care of / not desperate for attention. When our dog (the love of our life) got sick they visited every day when we were at work and did everything possible to make him feel better. They brought him treats. They sat with him in the backyard. And when they left the house they would put on classical music to help him relax. How thoughtful is that. With an older cat starting to have some small health issues, we wanted a true professional who wouldn't just fill her food dish, but really pay attention to her well-being while we were away. Of the 4 services we interviewed, Mike stood out as the most experienced and attentive. He asked detailed questions about her routine and meds, and I appreciated when he asked for clarification on something med-related, rather than glossing over it as a couple of the other services did. He texted us updates and even managed to lure kitty out of her hidey-hole and win her over! When we returned, she seemed a lot less anxious than she usually is after our absence, so we could see the real impact Mike had made. We didn't hesitate to call him again a few weeks later, and the photo he texted showed kitty arching her back coyly and being a social butterfly, so she clearly knows and likes him now! Mike took wonderful care of my pet bunny during a recent trip out of town. It's so hard to find openings with any of the local rabbit boarders over holidays, and it's stressful for our bunny to be out of her usual environment. Mike went above and beyond: he came by for an initial free consultation so I could introduce him to our rabbit and discuss our usual care routine. While I was away, I got frequent updates, texts, and photos of how she was doing. When our rabbit wasn't feeling well one day, Mike provided excellent care for her, communicated with us, and helped her recover quickly. (The fact that Mike's wife is a vet tech also put me at ease! I know that they really know what they're doing when it comes to administering medicine) It was also a refreshingly affordable price for in-home care, especially given the high level of care our bunny received and our ease of mind knowing that our pet was left in such good hands.
