Took the family there for Mother's day and it was absolutely perfect, the staff, the service the food - I highly recommend it

What an amazing eatery Lafayette has!! Deserves 5+ stars!! My best friend and I drove about 7 hours each for a girl's weekend in Lafayette. She drove from Texas. I came in from Mississippi. It was my first time in Lafayette, and I can say without a doubt it will not be my last! I happened upon this bistro right here on Yelp and it was a hit with both of us. So much so that we went back the next morning and were greeted just as warmly as the day before! We were greeted and seated immediately. You peruse their well-rounded menu at your leisure and then order at the counter. I know they use savory and sweet in the description, but to me your choices are even broader. Like a little kick with your savory? Order the Cajun immediately. Fantastic boudin! Want a milder start, order the Crepe Madame with your choice of ham or turkey. Savory with a bit of sweet, order the Monte Cristo. The triple berry jam is outstanding! On the sweet side we tried the S'mores with Biscoff and the Creme Brûlée. They satisfied my best friend's favorite food group...sugar. We met and talked with the owner, Cody, while we were there. Super, super nice guy! We had a thousand questions and he answered them all while we ate our tasty crepe creations. We sat and watched his wife prepare the dishes while trying to convince them to open restaurants in our hometowns! Our party of 5 were greeted and seated right away. You are given time to peruse the menu and then you go to the counter to order. Your order is brought to you at your table, and they will clear the table when you are done, but you also pay at the counter. Service was attentive, and the restaurant was clean and cozy. My husband and I ordered savory crepes - the Monte Cristo and the Crepe Madame (with scrambled eggs on the side instead of sunny side up on top). They were both absolutely delicious and filling! Our kids ordered the Creme Brûlée, the Crepe cup, and a crepe "your way" with chocolate and strawberries with a fruit cup. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast. For drinks, my husband and I enjoyed coffee - we both ordered a Bayou Belle, and our kids ordered chocolate milk, soda, and water. Such a cute and sweet spot! I had been stuck in the house for almost a week and had extreme cabin fever. Just wanted to take myself out for a mimosa (or two ) and stumbled upon this place on Google. It seemed perfect for my solo self-care sessions, so I gave it a go and honestly, I plan to add it to my routine! The service was great. I'm pretty indecisive, so the staff helped me with my decision and made sure that I was comfortable. I was alone and did leave the review while I was here, so I'm not sure if they thought I wasn't pleased, but everything was superb. Aside from the staff and ambiance, the food was great and fresh! When I lived here I would go like once a month. I live out of state so every time I'm in town I have to get La Crêperie. They added new menu items. I like their savory crepes but sweet and signature are fantastic. I had the Seafood crepes today and their new drinks Peach Berry Soda drink. Husband got the BLT turkey crepe. My husband and I tried the crème brûlée crêpes. I also had a latte. I loved that the crêpe wasn't too sweet and the plating was beautiful. I however wasn't a fan of the curdled custard inside the crêpes. I initially thought the filling would be smoother and less clumpy. The sight alone bothered me, BUT despite that it tasted really good! The service was also great. The waitstaff were very attentive and kind. Amazing. Got the shrimp salad and the monte cristo crepe. I was curious about the ham and cheese with the powdered sugar and jam, and I was so glad I tried it. What a delightful and cozy little bistro this was. I highly recommend stopping by for a delicious crepe (or two) a yummy coffee and warm and welcoming service. I enjoyed the Acadian Crepe which was stuffed with crawfish étouffée. It was a decadent and delicious delight! I also ordered the Eiffel Tower which was filled with fig jam, goat cheese, honey and walnuts. So many textures and flavors combined in perfect harmony in this dish which I enjoyed with a warm and rich cup of coffee. I wish I lived closer so that I could come back to try everything on the menu. I accidentally forgot my credit card after paying and the gentleman who works there came to find me outside before I left. We grabbed a quick and tasty breakfast here before we headed back home. The servers were attentive and the restaurant was very clean and friendly-looking. The service is a bit unusual since you order first and then they seat you (but keep the tab open in case you want something else). I had the Cajun crêpe which was everything a McGriddle wished it could be in the best possible way. Sweet, spicy, and cheesy with a nice little salad on the side. Delicious! My husband had the Alfredo crepe and it was also really tasty- I don't like mushrooms much but they added a nice funk and interest to the sauce so it didn't become monotonous. One of my new favorite brunch spots! I've been here a few times now and have had such fun each time. One of my favorite things to get is the Funky Monkey crepe. It has nutella, peanut butter, pecans, and bananas. This is my go-to brunch dessert. I've also had the Caprese crepe. It's good, but I wish they warmed up the insides. It would be so much better with the mozzarella slightly melted and tomatoes warm instead of cold mozzarella and tomatoes. Another good addition would be a balsamic drizzle. The classic breakfast crepe is always a crowd-pleaser too. You have your choice of bacon, ham, or turkey and béchamel or hollandaise. It also has scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, and is served with toast and berry jam. Guess what? They have $3 mimosas too! It doesn't get better than that! Please have a system when the customers walk into the restaurant. We walked in and they didn't tell us anything so we sat there for several minutes waiting for instructions. We finally had to ask a man what to do and he said that as a table becomes available, then we can order. There was no direction or instruction. Please leave a sign or I'll tell customers what to do. we did not get offered anything to drink or any coffee while we were waiting. Come on guys.... But I'm anxiously awaiting to try the food and coffee. I'm sure it'll be great. The breakfast crepe was delicious ....! What a delicious find in Lafayette! While visiting family, I wanted to brunch somewhere new - we had already spent a week enjoying Cajun delicacies along with some tasty tex-mex. Thankfully, Yelp did NOT disappoint suggesting this for a late lunch. We arrived and were immediately greeted - it's a lovely spot, with colorful chalkboard walls adorned with pictures (and the specials!) plus bistro style seating. All 3 of us couldn't resist ordering both a savory and sweet crepe from the extensive menu. I went traditional: a creamy chicken and mushroom for savory, with a Nutella sweet crepe for dessert. What, you don't have dessert at lunch?!? Hush your mouth! Our crepes arrived looking perfect - even and smoothly cooked, with delicate folds and slightly crisp edges. And they melted in your mouth! My savory was stuffed with chunks of white meat chicken and mushroom slices, with what tasted like a hint of truffle amidst a creamy, decadent sauce. And the Nutella crepe could only have been improved if I were actually strolling along the Champs d'Élysée - creamy hazelnut piping hot and melted, topped in whipped cream. Such a fun restaurant!! the atmosphere was great and all the employees were so helpful. It is always refreshing to eat in a place where everyone seems so happy to be there. Our waiter was super attentive to our needs and we were checked on an adequate amount during our meal. The fruit in the crepes tasted very fresh. We were driving through LaFayette, back to Texas, and decided to take a Yelp adventure to try the crepes. There was a 45 minute wait, but the hostess and staff were super hospitable while we waited. They started our drink order while we were seated in the waiting area and my husband raved about the white chocolate mocha. The crepes are made fresh - you can actually see them in the kitchen area making them while you wait. The crepe ingredients were flavorful and fresh. If you like crepes with a European French flair, this is the place! I've only had one other crepe experience that was equally as tasty; and those crepes were made by French born Master Chef Michel Poumay in Durango Colorado. And Chef Michel prepared food for the Chancellor of Germany and the Queen Mother of Great Britain! We ordered a variety of crepes to share. Savory or sweet, they were all delish! I ordered the chicken chipotle crepe, I ordered my one year an ordered of French toast and we ordered the brownie crepe for something sweet. Everything was delicious even thou the services was slow. This place has lost its touch since my first visit. The service made me feel unwelcome and the inside was filled with flies (see my attached photos for proof)!! On this visit for lunch, I went in 45 minutes before they closed for the day, which I already felt bad about coming that late, but I went anyway because I planned to only order one crepe and felt that was acceptable ... simple and quick, right? HOWEVER, upon entering the restaurant, I could INSTANTLY see almost every worker in the kitchen and floor look up at me with annoyance at me coming in "late" -- and to rub it in, the server had the actual audacity to tell me (before I even ordered) that they would only be able to serve my dish on a To-Go plate since I came in 45 minutes before closing time. The waitress even gave me my drink in a small plastic To-Go cup instead of a real glass like the other guests inside the restaurant (which was so embarrassing!) I immediately felt unwelcome, uncomfortable, and upset ... but I stayed anyway and was going to enjoy my crepe! For some reason, somebody must have realized how ridiculous and unprofessional they had been after they saw I had only ordered a small, basic crepe, because the waitress end up bringing me a real plate and acted like they didn't just imply to me that I would be rushed out of there 15 minutes earlier! I know many restaurant workers hate being held up by a late guest, but that was not me and it was wrong for them to assume that!! And if they were indeed honest with this little To-Go policy, then that should be NOTED on the website and posted on their Front Door to advise guests that they are THIS LAZY and prefer not to serve guests who apparently come in before closing time who waste their precious time. I'm curious by nature (some call it nosy but what do they know) so I was in course intrigued when I heard of a crepe only place. Like what... do they only serve crepes? How does that work? So, I went to the listing and checked out the photos. Now I'm REALLY intrigued. Go look for yourself, you'll see. I'm not much for sweets for breakfast, lunch or dinner but they do have many options if you're into to that. Luckily for me they also serve savory (salty, meaty) crepes. I got the Seafood Crepe. Corn Crab Bisque, Shrimp, Parsley is how the menu describes it. Perfect. If I were keeping it simple I'd leave it at that but I don't keep things simple. This crepe was sooooo good. Juicy, fat and deveined (don't get me started on places that don't devein) shrimp and pure lump crabmeat. I know my seafood and this was prime seafood y'all. It was perfectly paired with a salad drizzled with my all time favorite-balsamic vinegar. I'm still dreaming of how good it was. I loved the open kitchen. Watching the chef prepare my meal is always a plus for me. It's a small, intimate place so make note of that. I'm sure they'll be packed for Valentine's day. Will I be back? Hell yes!
