Best wax ever! Nazy does such a clean, thorough job. I've been to several waxing places for a Brazilian over the years and no one is comparable to her. She makes it as painless as possible because she's so quick. She also has very affordable pricing and is so sweet and kind! She is now located in Westwood Village on Weyburn. Parking was super easy (free public or meter parking nearby) and she was accommodating to get me a same day appointment but try to book in advance just in case. I don't know how Nazy does it, but she is amazing. I came here four weeks ago for my first ever Brazilian wax, and I was so anxious and worried about the pain. Nazy set me up and even though I had quite a situation going on, she was quick and almost painless. I couldn't believe it. I had to check to make sure it was all gone because it wasn't bad at all! I'm so pleased with my Brazilian--Nazyla was very thorough but also worked fast and it was the most painless wax i've ever had (and my last one was over a YEAR ago). I was in her studio for 15 minutes, tops. It's nothing fancy, but everything was clean, and you CANNOT beat the price. I thought my old place in West Hollywood was cheap, but $35 for a Brazilian is basically unheard of. I will keep coming back to Nazyla's for all of my waxing needs! And it was really nice to witness Nazyla's gratitude because sometimes it feels like people at chains/larger establishments are more entitled about receiving tips. Note/scheduling recommendation: Nazyla works independently so try scheduling with her during off-peak days/times. She's busy, but she will also definitely try to fit you in! The only downside to my visit is that I left completely bare despite wanting to leave some hair behind. This was not a deal-breaker for me because she was diligent, meticulous, professional and friendly. I think it just came down to a 'loss in translation' moment for a lack of better expression. She's been doing this for 16 years and she really does it well so the fact that her prices remain SO reasonable is also a major plus! Nazyla was able to schedule me in same day and was super kind. I think she said she's been in the business for over 6 or 16 years, i'm a little fuzzy on the details, but however long it's been, it shows through her professionalism and attention to detail. Waxing experiences are never fun. They can be painful and uncomfortable but Nazyla makes sure to talk you through it and considering I only shed a tear, i'd say it was a success. Her space is extremely clean and she makes sure to keep her materials hygienic. Very sweet and soft spoken and yeah the price can't be beat...but this was my second time going to her. The first time was ok..she didn't really remove all the hair and I was still pretty prickly, but I came out alright and was decently satisfied for the price I paid...but I went in on weds and today just noticed that the sharp pains in my privates hadn't subsided nor the swelling gone down...I look closer and BAM! RED WELTS EVERYWHERE! I'm horribly scarred and theres huge scabs and red blood welted marks all over from top to bottom and on the inside! She burned me! Not just minor burns here and there...but REALLY REALLY BAD BURNS ALL OVER! I think she knew because her face looked uncomfortable and she kept trying to put all kinds of ointment to relieve the "redness" but she wouldn't tell me what was going on...she didn't burn my friend but HOLYSHIT MINE WAS REALLY BAD! *I just called her and all she could say was...use ALOE. I am sitting on an icepack as I write this review. I started getting bikini waxes on the eastside at a nail place. Cheap and efficient they were, until I got a girl who did not know what she was doing, and after 5 min. I wanted to punch her in the face. After another painful and comically bad experience where I got a bikini + rear end, I swore I learned my lesson about going to nail places for waxing! After moving to the westside, I decided to go to a waxing-only place where I got an "in-betweeny." It was hot wax, she was quick and asked me if I was alright when I winced, but she was thorough and it wasn't too bad - it was $40 + tip. So now the bf has been outta the country for 2 months, so I figured I'd take it up a notch and get a brazilian. Dear Yelpers, you led me to Nazyla's, which is convenient to my neighborhood and oh so cheap, and you convinced me that "she knows what she's doing." Before I go any further, I will say yes, she is very nice, and made me feel very comfortable. Considering my previous experiences I had no problem with the setting. She chatted with me the whole time, and I certainly added to that foot smudge on the wall. Why am I sitting on an icepack right now? Because I have giant swollen burned meat curtains where a modest labia once was. Let me tell you why: 1. Nazyla, nice as she is, skimps on the wax application (which tugs at your hair bringing a little pre-pain to the big one) and results in: 2. Multiple passes at the same patch. I don't mean 2, I mean like 4 or 5 applications in one spot, which contributes to: 3. Burning and removal of layers of skin. Think about it, waxing removes one layer of skin, then you go and smear some HOT wax on your freshly raw skin...OOWWW! Then do it again! And again! and finally, 4. She doesn't pull your skin TAUT. She kind of did in some places, but I actually asked her if I could help because mostly she just used her other hand to tamp the strip down and then pulled it out of the way while she pulled the strip up! Argh! After actually grunting with pain a couple times I finally had to tell her to stop (as she was preparing her fifth swipe). I wax my legs at home, and it tells you to hold your skin taut in the fecking instructions, so I don't think I'm crazy to think that that is a necessity for a less painful wax. I know it was my first time people but really, I'm Irish - I don't think it was that thick! Its been 6 hours now and I'm still swollen and walking around my house funny with no underwear. And sitting on ice. Oh, and, I don't mind that she didn't tweeze after (cuz I wanted to get out) but there actually little patches of hair that she missed toward my backside (I had a feeling she wasn't getting everything). So, Nazyla gets 2 stars for being a very nice lady, but I am personally never going back there for the full Monty. Please Yelpers, help me find a better Brazilian! You would think that living in Westwood would mean expensive salons. Thankfully, since UCLA is so close by, many salons cater to students and their thrifty budgets. I was admittedly skeptical of any salon that offered waxing at such a budget price. I typically pay $60 for waxing,but Nazyla charges only $25. Granted, the place is tiny, their is no fancy receptionist or waiting area stocked full of beauty products. Instead, you have a tiny waiting room, a single private room and get in and out with no frills and for half the price of most places. Nazyla does a satisfactory job and is pleasant. There is no prepping lotion or post lotion, no powdering or tweezing, just straight up wax. To echo other reviews, this is a fine place if you are looking to save money. read more

Personally, I had a terrible experience here. Nazyla is a very nice lady, but she burned the hell out of lady parts. The day of my wax, it felt tender like it normally does, but the next day I was swollen and it was very clear that my skin had been burned. For three miserable weeks I had an insatiable itch (which happens when the skin is healing). I was scratching every second of the day and my burn eventually led to further complications. I'm concerned about the sanitation of this place. Nazyla is nice and everything but the tiny room where the waxing is done is so small and cramped. As I layed on the "bed," she told me to lift my left leg. I put my foot against the wall, where everyone else put their dirty feet. I hope the wax she uses is cleaner than her wall. But honestly, my main problem wasn't even that. She doesn't use hard wax so it was extremely painful. I swear, hard wax would cut down the pain in half. I recently just got my brazilian wax here. Getting an appointment the day before is okay. Here are the reasons for the 3 stars: First -1 star because I do not think Nazyla has good technique. She kept waxing over the same skin areas over and over which made the experience more painful than usual. At times she did not pull all the hair at once, and very slowly which exacerbated the pain even more.Mind you, I get a brazilian done regularly and have been to at least 7 different places, I have to say that my experience here was one of the worst ones i've experienced. I only came because it was $25, and the salons near where I live charge about $50. I guess you get what you pay for. -1 star because the wax she uses is extremely sticky. I have been to places where wax has been butter smooth. It was just uncomfortable altogether. -1 star because she only takes cash and credit card. It's really inconvenient for me and most of my friends to go get cash at banks cause it's so hard to get parking in LA, especially around westwood. read more

I basically followed Nazie when she moved from La Belle to this place. It's her own small studio- a private room with a capacity of 8 if no one breathes. But it's really cute! Tidy, warm colored walls, pretty curtains, etc. I feel much more comfortable here than where she used to work. She is amazing, by the way. Fast, efficient, and really sweet. Brazilian waxes are only $25 and she uses new wooden sticks each application. At La Belle, it was pretty unhygienic. They dipped the same stick into the bowl of wax throughout the whole session. Only downside is that for a wax as cheap as $25, you can't always expect to be completely clean. She won't pull out a tweezer or anything but overall, it's still pretty good. There usually is plenty of metered parking along Westwood or you can park on Ohio in the residential area for free. I definitely recommend Nazie. Will be visiting her again next month haha read more

First waxing experience successful! The waiting room, isn't really a waiting room at all, Nazy's little shop is one small room divided by a screen. So yes, you can hear all that goes on with the clients before you. So if you're uncomfortable, or require a little bit more privacy, I suggest going some place else. Seeing as it was my first time, I thought, oh no, I'm going to hear woman crying and screaming, and then I'll be next! It was quite the contrary, Nazy made small talk with her clients, and she was straightforward with discretion.I realized, hey this won't be so bad! I mean, of course, it hurt, but it really wasn't as terrible as I was expecting. Perhaps it's because Nazy just makes you feel down right comfortable the entire time. I told her, hey it's my first time, I might need a little bit of talk through this. And indeed she was informative, reassuring and as gentle as she could possibly be. I doubt I could have asked for a more reasonable price ($20), for such a great first experience. And I'm very happy with the results. Just a little normal redness, feels sort of like a sunburn, but it's definitely going to be 'just right' for my upcoming trip! read more

The Place- Very small, a little makeshift, quite hard to spot from the road. She's fast, friendly, easy to talk to (or NOT talk to.) She's clearly experienced. My only gripe is that she didn't go back in after the wax with tweezers, and left me with a some obvious stubble... This place only gets two stars. It would have received one, but Nazy is a very sweet woman, so for her being so kind, she gets an additional star. In regards to her technique and the experience, I would say that I am not a fan. She charges $30 for a Brazilian, so of course I'm not expecting it to be a painless or in an elaborate salon. When she applies the wax, she uses those small wooden sticks similar to coffee stirrers. This is so not the business: it only allows for so much wax to build on the applicator making it a painful process when she has to continue applying layer upon layer--pulling and tugging at your already sensitive skin. Also, since her 'salon' is just a tiny one room deal, it gets quite hot in there. Personally, getting a Brazilian isn't my favorite thing to do and when I'm in a hot room during the process it just makes me even more uncomfortable. Also, the place isn't exactly the cleanest. I know that she changes out the tissue paper for the bed that you lay on, but the one that she uses to cover the part of the wall where she asks you to place your foot...yah, she doesn't change that one. If you're in Westwood and a broke UCLA student or whatever trying to get a Brazilian...I recommend the cheaper and closer La Belle Hair place next to Red Mango. 1) It's cheaper 2) It's cleaner 3) Ask for Mina, she's quick and makes it a less painful process. She even gave me quarters when I didn't have change for the meter :) I know people might think her place lacks the luxurious ambience like other salons, but is it really necessary? c'mon ladies, if you know what you need, this is the place. It doesn't get any cheaper than $25.00 for a brazillian in Los Angeles! I paid $16 for waxing my lower legs. She's quick, it's cheap, $30 and she does a relatively good job in 15 minutes or less. I go here for brazilians and she uses a lot of wax in comparison to other places, a bit sticky after. Sometimes, she gets all the hair, other times she doesn't. Maybe that depends on my last wax, or if she has other customers or I don't know... I bet if you ask nicely to try and get all the hair off, she'll try depending on how many customers there are. Park at Ross! Apparently 1 hour free with no purchase. Also, she takes me same day. She works with my hectic schedule. She takes me an hour before (though with some conditions). I've been going here maybe about a year and a half. I give her 5 stars because it's the cheapest and nicest you're going to get around here. Also, I've been to more expensive places, honestly she does about the same, if not better. I just wanted to give Nazy another 5 stars because. I. love. her!! Today while I was at work, I called her for an appt on the same day for a full wax at 1:00, she had an eyebrow apt at one, but told me to come in at 1:15. Mind you I have class at 2pm so I was rushing this whole thing. I got to Nazy's at 1:10 and I was out by 1:20 and it wasn't a crappier-than-usual job. She's just that fast. I love that she accommodates me every time I call. I'm kind of impulsive when it comes to these things and I don't think there's been a time that I've called her and she couldn't take me. The best part is that her hands are so fast that it doesn't hurt as much as you'd imagine. It's nice that she makes conversation with me so that I'm not just anxious for the big pull and she's the sweetest person. I love Nazy. She is attentive and careful, even when the next appointment has knocked on the door. The first time I went to her, I thought I would have to explain how I wanted my eyebrows waxed, but I decided to trust her judgement, and I was happy with the result. After what I thought was some already detailed waxing, she proceeded to do some threading to make sure everything was clear, and did the same for lip.
