I have been taking my cars to be serviced at Milad Nukho and Sons for decades. I recently had my to replace the whole radio system in my 2015 VW Golf, which they have been taking care of since I got it. The bad news was that the component parts were hard to find and expensive. Also, synching them with my car required permissions and communications Volkswagen's arcane bureaucracy. (Did you know you can't just swap out the old radios with one of your choice? They have to be VW components for the car's electronic systems to communicate with you. And VW holds the proprietary codes required to synch the replacement parts with the vehicle. AARRRGH!) The good news is George and Eddie took on the job with their usual good humor and high level of skill. They found a warrantied rebuilt part that saved me half of what it would have cost new from VW. They dealt with the painful process of working with the VW service department. Across the frustrating multiple visits it took, they made sure I had a priority spot in their schedule, which is always busy. SCAMMER ALERTT!!! I came in for an inspection and owners tried to up sale me on some tires (500$) in order to pass my inspection. When I told the owner I don't have that money and only have for the inspection, he advised me he can't pass me and wouldn't be able to do inspection. To make it all worse, he held my car hostage for 20$ for "checking my car" after he told me he couldn't check it because I will fail the test. I left and went down the block and got my inspection for 35$ with no problem or questions asked. ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION!!! And stay away from this place, they believe since there in riverdale they can over charge and get off on customers. read more

I've been going there for gas for awhile now. My inspection expired and went to get an inspection done. Eddie helped me out and told me that my brakes needed to get done. I knew that it was time. Went back a week later and got the rear brakes done. Eddie told me that they could get it done in time to get my kids from school. i have been to plenty of shops in my lifetime and I just want to say I was skeptical even getting my car looked at because I seen reviews about Eddie scamming people out of pocket just to look at their cars. I went to get my car looked at after an accident I had and was willing to get the work done with them but I changed my mind after he decided to charge me for information. Beyond crazy, their shop is based in Yonkers which is for the most part considered low income neighborhoods so the fact he charging people in poverty just to look at their cars and give them information is beyond me. I'll never go to get my car looked at again from this shop theirs 101 shops in the area that'll look at it for free just off the strength. I don't know what makes certain business owners think people think in these times have money like that, especially people in poverty. He had made a joke before I left my car with him about "it being $1,000 an hour for labor" I knew right away then and there he was going to charge me I just didn't know how much because he decided to be transparent once everything was said and done. I didn't know how much I'd be paying until it was time to pay for "labor". $92 for him to drive my car into the garage, lift it and take a look. He definitely plays games and tries to speak to people friendly as if we dumb and haven't been around. Luckily Chase has a "Pay in 4" option, I immediately got my money right back... I paid that off on my own time. I feel bad for the people who trust in the shop, his customers are probably older folks who get scammed or people in desperate situations because ain't no way people are willing to pay just to get their cars lookeded at. Respectfully. The work I was willing to get done with him would have been through insurance and he would have made way more than $92, he even offered a reimbursement once the insurance company from the thirs party reaches out to him.. so in my eyes I basically put that $92 down as a deposit. Why charge me if you were going to reimburse me ? I'm a man of my word and all about respect I knew he was a clown when he stated charging me 1000$ an hour for labor. You don't play with people like that, especially people you dont know. That can trigger people into a mood he won't be able to process. read more

I recently took my 2003 Isuzu Axiom here for a computer diagnostics to find out why my car was losing power while driving... I was told the computer diagnostics would give that information. GEORGE then phoned me after a couple of days to say my car was not a "smart car" and that the computer diagnostic would not work. He said they would check my car and get back to me. Two weeks later he calls me and says my car needs a fuel pump and that it would cost over $900. I said thats two expensive and that I would pick up my car... but then he said I had to pay for the diagnostic. I told him he said he couldn't do diagnostic on my car so why are they charging me. I explained that unless they have a computer print up with codes stating what was wrong with my car I was not paying. They kept my car for two weeks and the so called computer diagnostic was some nonsence they printed up same day I picked up car which they CHARGED OVER $130 for. BEWARE OF GETTING ANYTHING DONE AT THIS PLACE. MAKE SURE TO GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING BEFORE ANYTHING IS DONE. THEY SCAMMED ME AND CHARGED ME FOR A REPORT THEY DID NOT DO. I went twice to Milad Auto Shop for my engine car shield to be repaired. First to remove the old part out and second to install the new part in. Everytime I called them, they're always so nice and professional and would allow me to come in for them to check what's going on with my car. They got my car fixed in good amount of time and the price of service is great compared to my Hyundai Authorized Shop. The brothers (George and Eddy) and their mother are amazing and make you feel like you're their good friends. George, You actually just told several lies in your response and I almost could get a lawyer at this point for defamation. You should be really careful when stating someone asked you to do something illegally. I have Angel and Qui ci at two other shops (after you, who fixed my car and were awesome) to verify I had never asked such a thing. I actually showed you what VW on my phone via picture (so another weird lie). I asked for two days to leave it there for two days because you said you wanted me to go to VW because you were done trying and I had to go to work and the car was expired. After all the money I spent there, and the weeks you left my car sitting there not helping me - I deserved the help. In addition, I did not want my car left there in February. I kept calling asking about it. This is exactly what is so terrifying about your shop. You are willing to lie and then bully. I can't believe you do this under your father's name. How terribly sad. George and Ed are terrifically conscientious, trustworthy, honest, and just plain wonderful. Yes, I am gushing, but after being #$%^over by an out-of-state dealer, I feel incredibly lucky to have found Milad Nukho & Sons. Just one example of how they brought my 28 year old Toyota back to life: It used to run on what I called 'squirrel' power because the dealer who serviced it messed up the timing, among other things. So I'd thought the car I'd inherited was just slow and it's 4 cylinders had trouble going beyond 40 mph. George and Ed found the problem and fixed the timing and replaced the belt, it now roars like a tiger! It feels like a new car and can handle highways without hesitation. No one else, not the dealer nor the out of state garage could find the problem but both charged me plenty for their time. Nukho's price was fair and the work was done as promised. Plus everyone there is super nice and considerate. You can drop your car off or use the waiting room equipped with cable tv. If you chose to wait, you could do as I do and stop by the diner next door for good food and friendly service. Thanks to this little spot of heaven, I actually look forward to spending time there for state inspections and any work that's needed to keep my car humming along. George, Tony, and Diana worked miracles on my Subaru which was damaged in two different places by two different drivers! From the start, they handled both insurance companies professionally and managed to acquire the correct amount owed for quality parts to be installed during the repair. The car was delivered in an amazingly short amount of time, and it looks like the first day it was purchased. The interior was cleaned, and the detailing was impeccable. I've got to start by saying this is my very first Yelp review! And it is very-very positive!! Drove into the Bronx on Saturday-the hottest day of this summer-with my 93-year-old father and an air-conditioner that began pumping warmer and warmer air since we left Rochester. By the time we got to the City we were dripping. Found this auto shop in Yelp. Called at about 20 minutes before their closing time. Ed said come on in and, at the end of nearly an hour, my air-conditioner was recharged, the system was cleaned, no leaks were found and I was on my way. This was on a Saturday night!
