This review is in response to my experience with the Long Beach store. I would definitely recommend Milano Collection and would return to them if needed. While I did leave the shop with a $2,200 wig, packaged nicely in a beautiful box and given a complimentary wig grip, unfortunately, it was the wrong color. I also realized I was given no written or verbal instructions on how to care for this product, but in their defense, this could be for the following reasons ... 1. I unknowingly booked the last appointment of the day. 2. There was only one salesperson on the floor. 3. There were two other customers she was tending to while tending to me. 4. I didn't ask the right questions. Maybe she thought I knew. To be clear, my salesperson was delightful and very knowledgeable, and she spent equal time with each customer, moving from chair to chair like a bee, from flower to flower, lol, all the while focusing her attention on that one customer whilst in their company. She was also able to choose the right color and length almost immediately by just speaking with me for a few moments. While she never rushed me, I did feel anxious to make a decision and leave the shop so she could close on time and go home, but that's on me. The shop is large, clean, and modern, with a plethora of choices of wigs. Please consider Milano Collection when thinking about buying a wig or topper. Terrible experience from the start. Tried to order during the sale period and then no one responded until,after the sale. They tried to charge me full price and had to escalate to resolve. They require full payment up front and then had to check every two weeks for progress. Didn't receive for six weeks. When I finally received it the color was horrible and the hair felt like Barbie hair even though it was supposed to be human hair. Items in box with no directions on how to wear. Took to my stylist and told me to return it for poor color and quality. Then when I returned it they only gave me half my money back. TOTAL RIP OFF. This has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I came to Milano on September 1 and met with Jasmin, who was amazing--friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. She's the only positive part of this entire situation. I originally visited because my current wig from another store had started balding, and I needed a new one--especially important because I'm currently undergoing chemotherapy. After some thought, I purchased a wig on September 11. That's when everything went wrong. When I came in to pick it up that same day, I was told my payment was still pending and to come back later. A few hours later, I received a text saying the wig had to be shipped instead of picked up due to how it was invoiced and per Shopify guidelines ( I don't even know how that happened I never asked for it to be shipped to begin with) At this point I asked for it to be shipped overnight since I urgently needed it for the weekend. That didn't happen. I ended up having to buy a different wig from another store just to get through the weekend--an extra $200 I shouldn't have had to spend. By September 16, a full week later, I still didn't have the wig. I called to ask about exchanging it for another color, hoping that would be faster. They booked me an appointment with Jasmin for the next morning at 10am. Then at 5:30pm that evening, I got a message saying a UPS label had been created and the wig was shipping. I was confused--was I supposed to come in or not? Then at 9:49am, just 10 minutes before my appointment, I get another message saying reception had made a mistake and didn't realize it was an exchange. They said to still come in. I live 2 hours away. At this point, I was completely over it. The disorganization, miscommunication, and back-and-forth has been exhausting. This is not how any customer should be treated--especially someone going through chemo who just wants a reliable wig. Now I'm being told I am not be eligible for a refund because the wig was purchased during a Labor Day sale. That makes absolutely no sense--I haven't even received the wig. I was also told that Sun that I'd have three days from receiving it to return it. Well, it hasn't arrived. I no longer want the wig. I don't trust the process, and I don't feel confident in this company. I want a full refund. This entire experience has been unprofessional, confusing, and honestly upsetting. I don't recommend this place to anyone unless you plan on dealing with unnecessary stress! read more

so dissatisfied with milano. its been a disaster from the start. im pretty sure that my consultant, veronica, just started her training. she gave terrible direction on taking measurements on day 1. the wig was supposed to be straight...and its actually processed straight, so originally curly or very wavy. the cap sent was a medium. after going to a reputable wig salon, my cap size is xs. huge difference. veronica told me to have it cut once received, so i did. now they refuse to refund, even though email trail showes clearly where veronica said to have cut after the fact. getting them to reply to emails is like pulling teeth. so many bad qualities will tell everyone, everywhere along with email threads and pictures, just how absolutely terrible this company is. read more

Update: Errol (sp) from accounting called to yell at me (!) that I was wrong to file a dispute against them for charging my credit card when they failed to ship my wigs. He was beyond rude and wouldn't work to resolve by refunding my money or shipping the wigs. He just yelled!!! I ordered two wigs for medical hair loss from Milano. They were quick to collect payment in full plus a few random charges. The wigs were to be sent ground shipping at my expense. They insisted on payment immediately even though they were NOT CUSTOM hairpieces. Just box-standard ones. Weeks later, nothing arrived except my credit card bill. I asked for a tracking number and they said their specialists were getting them ready! Ha. I have a fraud claim filed with my bank to try to get a refund for the non-existent wigs. Seriously, do people who are ill and struggling with hair loss need this runaround? Stay away! read more

I found Milano wigs after searching for toppers for quite a while. I lost half of my hair due to frontal fibrosing alopecia; I've had problems finding the right kind of topper because I have curly hair. I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Milano store in La Brea. This was my first time purchasing a hairpiece, and from the start, things did not go smoothly. The store itself looked rundown, but I was willing to give it a chance because the staff seemed friendly. I selected a hairpiece and was informed that I would need to pay extra for coloring and cutting, which was already frustrating given the high price. When I asked about the return policy, I was assured that I would have five days to decide if it was the right fit for me. After my purchase, I was told I would be contacted in 7-10 days. A month went by with no updates, and I had to reach out myself. Since I was traveling, I wasn't able to come in right away, but when I returned and tried to schedule an appointment, I faced multiple last-minute cancellations--first because my appointment time was changed, and then because the stylist wasn't available. When I finally got to see my hairpiece, the color did not match my hair at all. Instead of fixing the issue, the manager told me that I would need to pay even more for a new piece and another round of coloring. After all the delays, poor service, and miscommunication, I was essentially told there was nothing they could do for me. I spent a significant amount of money and received nothing but stress and an unusable product. This company does not stand behind its service and completely disregards customer satisfaction. I have purchased a wig in 2017 when I had cancer for the 2nd time. I paid for a haircut and styling. They did a horrible job with the haircut. The styling was good when I picked up the wig. The problem was when I washed the wig and realized that the haircut had very short layers, which I didn't request and didn't like. Wig was very expensive and they ruined it. I also purchased a topper last year the 3rd time I had cancer. I paid a lot of money to get highlights. The girl didn't do highlights and charged me a high price for not doing what I requested. She did a solid color, not highlights. I had to pay for the service because I was traveling to Europe the next day. Not only the topper was very expensive, the service was also expensive and I was very disappointed when I put it on. She ruined it. When I asked if I could make an appointment with the lady that appears to do very nice job on videos, I was told that I could not make an appointment with her. I would not recommend this place to anyone, unless you want to through away your money. read more

Literally the worst customer experience I've had in my life. There has been barely any contact from the company. I purchased a wig on NOVEMBER 26th. There was an issue with the wig I wanted being out of stock, so I did not get the wig until December 18th! I needed the wig for my Wedding on December 19th, and the one I received did not fit properly, understandable. Milano also has a 5 day return policy and absolutely no shipping package so I had to pay and additional $40 dollars to ship it back. The item has been shipped back since December 18th and since then, I have reached out to multiple parties to get a refund or exchange. I have barely been receiving any updates. This is an extremely frustrating process due to the lack of responses. My wedding ceremony is on January 15 and I have been sending multiple emails back and forth but it seems like no one cares about the deadline. Just. Not. Worth. It read more

My experience with this company was bad. I bought a TopGrip Band, Wig stand, and Milano Wig conditioner. With the exception of the conditioner, everything was available at Amazon offered at cheaper prices. The wig stand was of poor quality and costs $5 more than what you get in Amazon that also comes with storage bags. The shipping was so slow! Their return policy is steep. You are charged $15.99 for stocking fee, must be in original packaging and unopened, and has to be returned within 5 days from the day you receive the items. The TopGrip was not useful for my hair topper so I ended up exchanging with Wig Grip (and I had to pay for return shipping). While they expect you to return within 5 days of receipt, they do not extend the same courtesy when sending the replacement. It has been 6 days and I have not received the replacement. They don't even send you the tracking number, they said they don't send any notification for replacements. I will never buy from this company again. read more

I bought a ponytail wig and it about a month. It started tangling really bad. I washed it, conditioned it, did a hair mask, used detangler, and hair oil. It still tangles. I'm brushing it several times a day. I contacted customer service and they asked for pictures. I sent them and no response. read more

It's THE best in LA. We went around and the quality was either worse or more expensive. We walked in there and within 5 minutes we had the PERFECT wig. Kelly trimmed it, April styled it. MILANO DOES NOT CARE - THEY JUST WANT YOUR MONEY My experience with Milano was a nightmare. I told the sales agent the wig felt too small on my head, but the sales agent promised and convinced me that Milano would make the appropriate adjustments to ensure proper fit. Unfortunately, that NEVER HAPPENED! I sent Milano photos to demonstrate the wig does not fit properly and I visited Milano showroom and the sale manager confirmed the fit needs adjustment. Milano attempted to adjust the wig (3) times, but as of today, the wig does not fit properly. I desperately needed a wig due to issues with my own hair and I got tired of sending the wig back and picking it up from Milano. Milano was never going to adjust the wig properly because the wig cap was the wrong size. However, and in considering other options, I spoke to the sales manager about a custom wig despite paying $1,500 for the ill-fitted wig I already have. The sales manager provided a price for the custom wig at $1,600 but unfortunately, I had a serious family crisis related to illness, so I did not act on that quote for 3 months. When I was ready to purchase the custom wig at $1,600, the sale manager no longer worked for Milano. The new Milano sales manager sent me an email with a quote of $4,000 which is 2.5 times higher than the quote that was provided just 3 months prior. Milano claimed prices have gone up, but it seemed obvious that Milano attempted to renege on the original quote. When Milano finally agreed to honor the original quote, Milano placed lots of restrictions on the order in what seemed to be an effort to get me to back out of the transaction. MILANO'S EMAILS STATED, FINAL SALE, NO EXCHANGES, NO SALON SERVICES, NO ALTERATIONS, NO RETURNS AND NO REFUNDS. Does that sound like a company that wants to ensure you are satisfied? No one would proceed forward with a transaction like that, so Milano got their wish. The sales people are not trained with any real knowledge, the stylist colorist is a total mean pushy bully and the customer service is non existent. The management doesn't care about you being happy with your purchase and if they know they've screwed up they don't care. I have bought several wigs from Milano Collection over the years and been very pleased with them. Today I went looking for a new wig. I was shocked to get so much attitude from the saleswoman. It really felt like she was doing me a favor to even show me a wig. She told me that they only stock size Mediums so I would need to pay an extra 100 dollars to get it altered to a smaller head size. When I asked why she said it was a nightmare to stock different sizes. I still can't understand why all other wig companies and stores sell different sizes but its too difficult for them. It just seemed customer service was difficult for them. It's such a shame because they do have good products but no one wants to be treated so poorly when you are spending your hard earned money. This place is an amazing find and Priscilla has magic hands. It's like hair heaven when you walk in. I dropped in my hair topper to get it rooted and to get the piece trimmed to frame my face. Priscilla did more than that, she turned my beautiful hair topper into a piece that's so me. I went to the LA showroom for Milano Wigs just before Christmas. I had never seen any of their wigs in person and was afraid to purchase one online since I am new to wearing wigs. From the moment I walked in they were so nice and helpful. There was never a push to buy anything. In fact, I left without purchasing a wig, even though I felt I probably had found the one for me. I ended up going back and buying the wig after a good night sleep. I wanted to have the cap tightened and they did that for me. When I picked it up, again, so welcoming.
