I was very disappointed when I found out that these Milano nail spas were not tied together and I could not use my gift card since I had a height location gift card. Upon arrival, the place is very clean and pretty, with somebody there to greet you and explain the services they offer. Very nice touch and very good upfront customer service. I will say I got a gentleman to do my nails, but I felt that I had to re-explain every time what I wanted and didn't do a good job. For example, I had asked the gentleman to cut my cuticles, and he forgot and did it last minute, so they looked a little crusty to be honest. Another thing is that the acrylic looks a little bumpy and uneven, something I do not like my nails done. I was coming since it was closer to work and and maybe it was just my luck, but I will continue to go to the Heights location. read more

I needed a pedicure and this location was in the Nordstrom Rack plaza on Post Oaks. It's a huge salon with a beautiful interior and great customer service. I was concerned about the cost but it was $60 for a gel pedicure. The nail tech did a great job. She explained every step of what she was doing to ensure that I was comfortable. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this salon. I came in to have the acrylic removed from my toes because I wanted to go back to my natural nails with a square shape and a French tip. The technician told me my natural toenails weren't long enough for the look I wanted and recommended that I keep a thin layer of acrylic instead of removing it completely. I trusted her professional opinion. Less than 24 hours later, both of my toenails chipped. When I returned, instead of standing behind their work, I was told I had to pay for a full acrylic application on both big toes because I "didn't get a new acrylic set" at this location--even though the technician was the one who advised me not to remove it completely. To make matters worse, I had originally gotten the previous acrylic set done at another location of the same salon. Rather than taking responsibility for the recommendation that failed almost immediately, they expected me to pay again to fix a problem that resulted from their own advice. Good customer service would have been correcting the issue, not charging a loyal customer twice. I left feeling like they cared more about collecting another payment than standing behind their work or keeping a customer happy. I won't be returning, and I would encourage others to think twice before trusting their recommendations. If a professional tells you to do something, the salon should be willing to stand behind that advice when it fails the very next day. read more

I went here simply because it was the closest thing to my hotel, but omg. This place is SO GOOD and now I'm sad I don't live in Houston because this would be my regular place! I got a regular manicure and a regular gel pedicure. My nails look amazing, the shaping is top notch, and they were really thorough and meticulous. Also for a regular manicure and regular basic gel pedicure it felt more luxurious than that cause they put oranges in the water and put pretty vials of cool looking soaps and stuff. Also the decor is so cute and it was really clean. Like it just felt really elevated. Nice nail salon in the heart of the Galleria. I got a full set with the acrylic powder and a basic pedicure. Emma did my nails and she worked fast and efficient. She helped me match the color that I was looking for and she did the tapered square shape like I asked. Helen did my pedicure and she did a great job. I didn't have any cuts or bleeding from the cutting of the cuticles so im happy about that. I've been here a few times and I am typically happy with how my nails turn out. The vibe is very nice, pretty pink environment, nice staff. My most recent experience was a bit frustrating. I made a 6:30pm appointment, and was sat in my pedicure chair at 6:30pm, but waited for 30 minutes. I understand that at salons there are wait times... but I would appreciate being told that my girl won't be available at that time of my appointment so I can plan fora later time. As I waited, I asked a girl if she could please turn on the hot water so I could have my feet in warm water while I wait. She said "yes one second", then would disappear. I asked 4 times over the span of 30 minutes. I wasn't trying to rush someone into beginning my pedicure... I was just asking for the hot water bath to be filled as my feet were cold and it's enjoyable for me. I would get up to ask again and she'd be in the center area standing, so I don't understand why she couldn't just flip the hot water switch. Finally a guy up there heard me and did it immediately. I got pretty frustrated by this. However the worst part of this experience, is that halfway through my mani/pedi... I realized that the 2 same songs had been on repeat the entire time. "Hotline Bling" & "only yesterday", I listened to back to back repeat for 1.5 hours. I was going insane by the end of it. I had a rough day and was looking forward to relaxing & felt overstimulated and frustrated during this experience. I came to get a basic manicure with the add-on of paraffin and I will say it is the most relaxing spa I have EVER been to. I highly recommend Jayce as the nail tech. She did my pedicure and was extremely meticulous, attentive, professional and friendly through my whole experience. The only reason I put 4/5 was because they need to update their nail polish selection-- they had to redo my pedicure 3x due to the expired/old nail polish. Not even 5 hours later my thumb nail completely peeled off and now 4 days later my middle finger has a chip. I've never had my gel nails chip or come off before the 10 day mark. I did go in to get the thumb fixed the next day, and even though they have a 7 day guarantee (heights location is 10 day by the way) they were reluctant to fix the nail even though they were basically empty. Usually, I have good things to say about Milano nail spa locations, but with this visit I realized that they are not all the same (quality of work wise) and I'll just be going back to the one in the Heights from now on. I came here on a Monday and paid almost $100 for a full set with no design.. one simple color... yeah sure, the "length and shape" are 'extra' but the price was unnecessarily high in my opinion. Especially considering 2 days later on Wednesday an ENTIRE NAIL popped off on my right hand. I thought, okay no big deal I'll just go in and get it fixed after work. I was leaving for vacation that same evening with a flight out of Hobby at 9 PM so I had enough time to go get it fixed before I left. I go in and they fix my nail. while I'm there, I asked the girl to re-file or buff the nails on my left hand, so that the one new nail won't look brand new and different from the rest. She does such a rushed/terrible job, that afterwards the entire right hand had those little bubbles all underneath the polish and looked a mess. Again, I was leaving for vacation and didn't really have time to complain any further.... Fast forward to that evening as I am getting on the plane into my seat, I looked down and yet ANOTHER nail was broken on the left hand. Now I'm no genius, but I'm sure 100$ professionally done nails shouldn't be breaking within 48 hours..... at this point I'm completely pissed off because what do I look like on vacation (for a month mind you) with a broken nail. Crazy. The next day I called to let them know about the situation, and they offered no sort of compensation, no solution, no resolution, no nothing. The guy (I think his name started with a K?) asked for my name and number and said "I'm sorry" and "we will look into it" and Ive never heard anything to this day . Their prices are hugely inflated as evidenced by the high-end decor and beverage hat with champagne and drinks. The "basic" pedicure was $32 and it was brief and crappy. I asked for my calluses to be brought down and for some basic lotion to be rubbed on my legs and the manager told me that I didn't purchase a premium pedicure so it could not be done and then showed me a video on her phone of when I apparently received lotion ... who does this?
