The owner got upset when I question this set after being done. Deformed shape just a horrible job and she was more worried about to argue with me about the shape than just doing the shape I was showing her. I have to deal with this horrible nails because she doesn't know how to do a proper set and got upset bc I asked for a fix from a different person. Even the employee who saw the nails felt embarrassed when I asked her if this is a well done job?! I tried my hardest not to complain while she was doing my nails. She was so rough and rushing the process all while they had no customers waiting. So I finally spoke up and told her I did not like them. The shape & size was done badly and my nails now have air bubbles on them. She tried to fix it by shaming me because I spoke up about it...She went on with the nails and applied a thin layer of pink to "hide" her mess. This nail set was $40 pretty cheap but my God...anyhow she then charged me $20 which I payed. Wish I had gone somewhere else even if I had to pay more...finally I asked for a soak off because I couldn't bring myself to like them one bit....she said "its extra $$" and refused to let me go satisfied. read more

Horrible experience. Asked for a full set and received a nightmare. After making an appointment to have my nails fixed I still ended up with the same women who did them before. I made it very clear I did not want her to "fix them" for me but she would not stop asking what she did wrong. (She was so rude) WHICH WAS VERY CLEAR. I honestly think she thought I was some cheap young girl that didn't have money so she didn't care about me at all. I asked her how she was doing and she just ignored me. She also made my left thumb bleed and it has hurt so bad ever since. She was too rough obviously Bc she didn't care. 1. Color 2. Shape 3. Size 4. Blend! Everything was wrong. I ended up getting so frustrated with the lack of service that I started to cry and had to leave lol. But that just tells you what kind of length this went to. Literally the worst manicure ever. I wanted simple gel nail polish so I thought this place could handle it. Guess not. It looks like a 5 year old painted my nails. There are lumps and spots missing and they're dull.... Also- they don't use sterile tools. They pulled out a cuticle cutter and sprayed it with alcohol.... Very disappointed. If I could give zero stars I would, worse Mani shellac and pedi I ever gotten. The were very nice when i walked in. The lady that did my pedi was in such a hurry and I don't know why if it was just me and another lady. I wanna say she didnt even spend 15 mins on my toes, and she was so rough I even said something and she just smiled. Once she was done she went to sit and a table to watch a show on her ipad, I guess that why she was so in a hurry to finish with me. And no my nail I just got a mani shellac nothing crazy, I have more polish on my fingers then my nail and most of them are not all the way painted. OK, so after the kitchen light problem (see previous review), I needed to de-stress. Fast. So, like any masculine guy...I got a pedicure. Short version: A nice, clean neighborhood salon with VERY friendly ladies, reasonable prices and lots of parking available. They will also accommodate you if you show up within 30 minutes of closing. Long version: I got there the other evening, hoping to soak my feet and be pampered. All the pedicure chairs were taken, but the lady at the manicure desk smiled and said: "Go ahead and sit - we get to you soon." And they did - within 20 minutes or so. Since they didn't have more than five ladies working (which included six pedicures, four manicures and a wax job for some big woman in the back), that was pretty speedy. Wow. Once in the big comfy massage chair, I let the lady work her magic. Ah... Her technique was good. The only gripe I have - hence the 4-star rating - was that there was no soap in the tub. Just plain warm water. Oh, well. Can't win them all. BUT, it was terrific. Not only did she do the usual trim, cuticle removal and buff, but her exfoliation procedure was awesome. She also did some reflexology and pressure-point therapy on my size 10s, which for some reason cleared up my sinuses. Go figure! Price was only $25 for a 45-minute pedicure. WOW. I'm a fan. When I paid, the lady was most gracious: "Thanks so much. You come back now, okay? We like to see you again!" Nice. Very nice. You can bet I'll be back in a few weeks! ;-) read more

Went here for a pedi on a Tuesday afternoon when my usual place was closed. The staff were really nice and I ended up getting a mani and pedi for $32 (plus tip). They were very thorough but I didn't feel like it took forever like some places.. In and out in an hour. I loved the scrub stuff for the feet and legs too - very relaxing. Ladies were nice, place was decent, however my manicure did not last even 24 hours. Even though it was a basic manicure I'm usually able to keep it for at least 4-5 days. Not sure if the quality of nail polish had anything to do with it. I normally choose OPI, however 1/2 of their selection were other brands I hadn't heard of. read more

A friend recommended this reasonable and good for a quick pedi. It is not. It was painful and uncomfortable. As she cut my cuticles, she consistently pulled too hard and it stung, and she cut so deep on the skin on the side of my pinkie toe and I literally yelped (pun intended). She scrubbed so hard on the salt scrub on my legs that I thought she was going to take off a layer of skin, and I had to ask her to stop. The leg massage was also worthless (just rubbing watery lotion around my legs). To make matters worse, she pull the polish on so thick, that 5 hours later when I got in bed, it was still wet and I got sheet marks. I can say the place was clean, but the manicurist also cleaned the foot tub in WHILE doing my toes. read more

I am giving them 3 stars because the ladies are really nice there and the place is clean. I enjoy my pedicures. The 2 lacking star are for the problem I am having is that I got a new set two weeks ago and a the nails started coming off. I took them all off today cause they were so easy to get off. Every time i type one would pop off. This is the first place that this has happened at and its been happing several times. I will go back today to make my appt for Friday and let them know. I think they are missing a step when putting on the names cause they should come off that easily. Other places I been to, they were so hard to come off that you would pull your complete nail off from your skin. read more

Two weeks ago I had a full set of acrylic nails put on at La Art Nails. The shop was clean and friendly. You could tell that many clients are regulars. I am hard on my nails and tend to have issues with lifting. Two weeks later and my nails have held up beautifully. My tech was gentle, efficient, and clearly cared about doing a good job. Love this place! All of ladies here are so sweet and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a chair. They do a nice-looking pedicure and manicure, and have a ton of gel/shellac colors. The place is clean, spacious and doesn't overpower you with the smell of chemicals when you walk in. Great local spot for a quick mani/pedi/brow wax. read more

I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars. The ladies here are very nice. I usually come in and get a regular mani/pedi. They take their time, but sometimes it's a little too long. They definitely try hard to please. I don't always think the polish looks perfect and I've only had one pedicure last more than 10 days so far. I got a full set on Friday because I was going out of town to a funeral, that evening my nails started to break diagonally, it appeared that they were very thin. I went back to the shop on Monday with 4 broken nails and requested a new set, the lady said they could fix them but would have to pay. Absolutely NOT!!!! BEWARE DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP!! Owner "Tina" is never there to address this complaint, i had to go back several times so they can make things right, however, every time they said "TINA" wasn't in and i would have to pay. i gave up- i will just contact my credit card company and they will make sure LA Art Nails DO NOT GET PAID. read more

So my moms friend told us about this place and we love it! The ladies are nice and I have never had any trouble with my nails. I will almost always get a full set and my mom goes for pedicures. I have tried out other places and they don't compare. At other places I'm never satisfied, nails usually break, unreasonable prices, or just bad quality. But with La Art, I have never had a nail break not once with them, good quality, and I like the prices. As for the pedicure I would recommend the older lady over the younger ones because she really scrubs and gets the dead skin off. The others don't do it like her lol. read more
