Update: it's been almost a week now and the paint has chipped off and my cuticles are swollen and scabbing. I have never in my life had this problem. Will never ever go back here. We went as a party of ten to celebrate and prepare for my sister's wedding. I'll start with- luckily the bride came out looking good. That's all that matters in the end and that's why the two stars. For the rest of us, where does one start. The nail color books were completely mis-numbered and it didn't matter how often any of us told the staff that. We all got painted nails of the wrong color (I mean perhaps our fault for not arguing harder but... we were there as a wedding party and didn't want to kill the vibe) "This bubblegum pink isn't the color I picked" "Yes it is" "It's really not though" "Oh well it looks good" Just let me pick my color from the wall if ensuring the right color is that big of a hassle for you. Most of us got the express mani and or pedi and maybe that just wasn't worth their time? Not sure. If the service is going to be bad because the tip potentially wasn't going to be good enough, don't offer that tier of service. I truly cannot figure out any other reason why the staff was so annoyed by our existence. My friends, I would have tipped for the more expensive service had you given any care or attention to us at all. I've never felt to unwanted in an establishment before. Message taken. We will not come back. At $45 for a pedi and $35 for a mani though, I'd expect more. Genuinely my nails (mani and pedi) look like I let my 10 year old daughter try to paint nails for the first time in her life. After tip I paid nearly $100 and left wanting to run to target for nail polish remover. But again, unwanted color forced on my aside the truly unexplainable part was how we were treated. Holy disappointment.... I got recommended this place by a good friend of mine as she went regularly, which is why this is so surprising for me. The place itself was beautiful, very fancy, crystal chandeliers all over and just humongous, so my hopes were high. Unfortunately, they were shot down by $20 gel polish for my toes (polish alone....) and some of the worst Gel X nails I've ever had. The pedicure, the diamond, was surprisingly expensive for how little we got, including but not limited to lotion haphazardly slathered on my legs with three unceremonious rose petals stuck on (what does that even do), a wax bag that didn't even cover my feet entirely, and my friend getting lemons (???) rubbed all over his feet and legs like a seafood boil. The techs were nice at least. After the very disappointing pedicure, we moved onto nails. For some reason, my friend had his done in the pedicure chair, while I got moved to a separate table, being assured we would be getting our nails done together. I picked a color, my tech asked me what shape and I said oval. She told me "we do almond here". I accepted very anxiously, and then she pulled out the nail caps.... I should've walked out there. They were so arched, I knew my nail beds were beyond screwed, but I didn't walk out there, no I trusted my friend's recommendation. My tech measured two nails, eyeballed the rest, and started gluing. Immediate pain. I have fat fingers, so usually I expect the caps to accommodate that with a *slightly* bigger size, but this lady literally bent my nail beds to fit the cap. The UV light BURNED. My nail beds were screaming. When all was said and done, for two people, I almost paid $400. $400?!?!?! I'm calling to get a refund today. I'm so irritated. We're literally fighting for our lives to not tear these off so our nails can breathe again. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Support a small local nail artist if you can. read more

When this salon first opened it was great. On the three consecutive times I visited the service had really gone downhill. The front desk service is great. My problem was with the nail person. She literally was talking to someone the whole time on her phone! She wasn't paying attention to anything I was saying such as my color and shape choice. When we were finished there was a little piece of skin that I asked if she could trim and this chick said, "no, you didn't pay for a manicure"!!!! Honestly, I don't really understand all the hype about this place. I felt very rushed during my appointment. I paid for the upgraded pedicure, but it seemed like they were in a hurry the entire time. The person doing my manicure didn't offer any upgrade options either. I specifically asked him not to cut my cuticles too short, but there was a communication issue and he ended up cutting them too short anyway, to the point that it was painful. One positive was that I brought my daughter with me, and they treated her very well, which I appreciated. However, overall, I was disappointed with the experience. My middle nail is shorter because of me, not the nail tech. But the blood on two fingers was not my idea... Very large, clean, and inviting. Walked right in for a pedicure and express mani. Service was friendly but lots of attempts to upsell me, which I guess is to be expected at any nail salon. A nice bonus is the neck warmer with any pedicure. Overall it didn't blow me away but it's close to my apartment, accepts walk-ins, and was on par with any other place I've tried nearby. I'll come again! I would never recommend their manicure to people. I'm sure this works for some people but it was so expensive! I understand it's called a "luxury spa" but it cost $90 for a simple french tip and they are not even good! I did really like the pedicure that they gave and i liked the option to get a manicure and pedicure at the same time. I don't speak the language they were speaking but i could just tell they were talking smack about my mom. She didn't know if she got gel or acrylic on her last set and just wanted a fill but they girl that were doing me were laughing and said something about gel x and pointed at her. They made her feel super insecure about not knowing. I've been here two other times since my last review and I've left unimpressed. Dip manicure prices are $15 more than other salons and the pedicures I've gotten are just ok. Maybe the quality is sub-par because I keep choosing to do a manicure while in the pedicure seat. 3 stars for the final product and ambience. Now here's how our full experience went: My mom and I were walking in's, we came in early and we were seated right away. I wanted to try Gel x nails while my mom wanted to get her usual acrylics. I should add that my mom is a nail technician of over 20 years. The woman who did her acrylics later stated it was her first time using this powder? Her acrylics were literally turning into rubber bending completely to the nail bed and not setting. While my mom was trying to speak to her technician I fear she was embarrassed bc she wasn't making eye contact or speaking but she tried to keep salvaging the nails by putting gel on top of the powder and setting her hands under the light...that's not how you do acrylics...My mom was getting frustrated so I then asked my technician to talk to her and after that they finally got (who I assumed was) the manager. They then took off what ever product was left on her nails. My gel x turned out great! I wanted a special design for the holidays. However I was not aware that I would be charged double for the design since 3 of the nails are considered deep french which is $20 and 2 of the nails (with ribbon) are considered design which is another $20. I was charged for both. This is on me since she did show me the price ahead of time but I was so distracted with my mom's nail situation I did not pay attention or have the opportunity to ask questions. They did not charge my mom for the botched acrylics, but she still tipped her technician for her time. We didn't have time to wait for them to restart my mom's nails so we came back the next morning. They took care of her and her nail technician on this day did perfection. She also got French and a design, but was not charged for both like I was. Additionally their social media states that free gifts would be given to customers until the new year, but we were there 2x and never received anything. If you've gotten this far, bless you. Hahaha despite our awkward first experience here the salon is really cool, the technicians are friendly, 2 out of the 3 technicians we met did a great job, and now we know what -and how- they charge. I would come back for a redo. Update: I just posted this review this morning. Yesterday at the second appointment I expressed my concern for one nail that was already lifted from my natural nail, which the nail tech gave me glue to apply on my own. Took my mom to Milano Walnut Creek for Mother's Day for pedicures. It was our first time there. The second I sat down the guy I had was not friendly, he never said hi, didn't smile, he just dryly asked which pedicure I was getting & walked away. I had to ask him twice if he'd help me plug in the remote to the massage chair as it was unplugged, he finally got someone else to do it. He didn't offer me drinks or the warm neck pillow that was included in my service (which was the diamond pedi - $68) I noticed my mom had one so I asked him if I could get one as well & he finally brought one out. He was very rough with my feet, so much so he scraped them up which is shown in the picture. As he applied other chemicals it was burning from the scrapes. The diamond pedi includes an 18 min massage. He started the timer & showed me, but started doing other things like grabbing foot bags & putting them on me & didn't start the actual massage until the timer said 11 mins. Once he actually started massaging it was very obvious he didn't want to do it & it was not a proper massage. I then asked him the difference between 2 of the shades of blacks as I wanted gel, he never responded & just gave me the regular polish without even asking or responding. He rushed the entire process & even though my mom & I got the same service, he was finished about 40 mins before my mom's nail tech was. At the end he just dropped off the number card & asked if my mom & I were together or separate & then walked away, no thank you or goodbye. I let the front desk know of my experience & was disappointed that they only offered a discount of 10% initially. I told them that didn't seem appropriate considering I was literally physically uncomfortable the whole service as he was not only rough, he was not friendly. They gave me $15 off which brought it to $53 which is still a lot of money for a service that was painful, rushed & didn't include most of what I wanted. I really wanted to like the place & would've happily come back to give it another try but the woman pushing back in offering more of a discount made it difficult for me to want to return. It felt like penny pinching instead of trying to leave a good impression & correcting the situation. Very disappointing 1st time experience read more
