I took my son to Milano's Italian Restaurant this afternoon. It was divine. We ordered fried green tomatoes and mozzarella sticks for our appetizers. They have a housemade ranch dressing that is nothing more than absolutely scrumptious. The cheese in those mozzarella sticks went on for days. The tomatoes were perfectly seasoned. May I add that the fried green tomatoes were only $7.99? You can't find those at most restaurants and I thought that was a great deal. For our main courses, I chose the lasagna. It came with bread and a salad. The salad was quite good. It was loaded with cheese. Yum. And it had banana peppers in it. I ate a few bites, but then I saw my son eyeing it. Like any good mom, I slid the plate over to him to finish, lol. The bread hit the spot when I dipped it in that incredible ranch. I'm a big ranch girl. If you've got good ranch, I'm a happy customer. Now, that lasagna. Woo wee. It was soooooo good. It was meaty and cheesy. The sauce was perfect. It was extremely filling. I felt like a baby beluga after I got done. I'm still full more than 9 hours later. David ordered a small (10 inch) meat lovers pizza. He added mushrooms and onion. He has never been a mushroom person, so was a little surprised over that choice. He told me out of everything, he liked the pizza the best. He said it wasn't heavy or greasy. He used the words "light and well put together". Hmm, maybe one day he will be a food critic? For me, it was hard to pinpoint a favorite. Everything was so extremely good. Service was great. They were quick and friendly. Including the tip, all this food came to around $64. That's about the price of one two-hour tandem kayak rental at Sutton Lake, BTW. If you remember, I gave my son the choice of kayaking at Sutton or dinner and a movie in Charleston. Considering I would need to rent him a tandem kayak for himself because of his lineman size, I saved a whole heck of money today, lol. Winning!!

First time visitors, but it won't be our last food was excellent home made , service was very attentive and helpful, she recommended the Egyptian Musakah , I thought was very good - my wife got the lasagna, portions I thought were very big as a matter of fact we brought half of our meal home going to enjoy it again tomorrow like I said Home I didn't mention the price. Our whole meal was about 50 bucks. Well worth it like I said I'll be back.

Gluten Free Alfredo Pizza with Steak

We went here specifically because I can't have gluten, and it did not disappoint. I had the GF Alfredo pizza and added steak, which was absolutely delicious. My husband had the garlic knots and steak roll, and he's still talking about the garlic knots & said he'd order the same thing again. We will definitely be going back. I spoke with a cook and he explained to me which of the pastas he could make GF for me & that they make them fresh in a separate pot. I can't want to go back and try pasta!

My boyfriend and I were passing through Charleston, WV during our roadtrip and looking for dinner…read moreduring the work week. I wanted to try something new and interesting and through my Yelp research I found this spot. It's located in downtown with metered street parking free Monday-Saturday nights after 6pm and all of Sunday. Luckily, we were able to find a spot easily. Inside was modern and relatively clean. We had to wait a little bit to be seated as they were pretty busy; however, this place had a decent amount of seating and space. Service was good overall, but it wasn't as consistent as I would've liked for actions such as water refills, asking for extra napkins, etc. This was partly because they were very busy that night. They have a variety of food options - apps, salads, sandwiches, pies (pizzas), and dessert. We ended up ordering a large pizza (thin crust) to split - half Thai and half Chicken Gouda. Both were yummy although the crust was a tad burnt - nothing bad to the extent that taking bites were an effort. Overall, I preferred the Thai since I've never come across a Thai style pizza and I could really taste the curry sauce. The only downside of the Thai was that the shrimp were slightly overcooked, which could be potentially explained by us ordering a pizza split in two styles with them cooking the entire pizza evenly versus what is needed for each ingredient. We finished the entire pizza between the two of us, but I could see someone having some leftovers. If possible, they might want to do some minor pest management. The entire time of our visit a fruit fly or gnat was hovering around us and the food. We tried to catch it and protect the food, only for it to ultimately take a permanent dip in my water. My overall assessment was that it was a good place to try in the city. It's not something I would crave, but I wouldn't mind coming back again if I was in the area.

The building (though Vintage) was Open, Bright and Airy! A major plus to this Seasonal Depression Sufferer! We went to the bar to place our order! We opted for the Knotty Boy Garlic Knots for $10 & the Fully Loaded Detroit Style Pizza for $15I had a bottle of water and though he was very disappointed that it was ONLY their WV Craft Beer served, he went with what the bartender recommended (closest to a PBR & Budweiser that they offered ) for $5.50, total with taxes & Tip was $42. We were surprised that the food was out in like 15 minutes. We fully expected to wait since Detroit Deep Dish normally takes 30 minutes to 45 minutes to cook fully. This led us to believe it was PAR BAKED for faster Customer Service which to many is NOT A PLUS! The Garlic Knots were very doughy and extremely dense in texture. Not a fan! The service was fast and friendly but for the atmosphere, price and the fact they are trying to be trendy, the paper plates & plastic cutlery was a BIG NEGATIVE!! I know myself even if Melanac Hard Plastic for plates is okay, but I want true Silverware!! The sauce has a really Great flavor and the cheese pull was very nice on the pizza. The sauce served on top, a big big plus!! I live in Ripley, WV and drove 35 minutes one way to enjoy this meal, but the question is...would I do it again?? Probably NOT! I give them a 5 out of 5 on atmosphere and ambience they nailed that! I give them a 4 out 5 on Customer Service because the food came too fast!! I give them a 3 out 5 for the food, the sauce was perfect but everything else about taste and flavor was a hit and miss. The score might have been higher if I had left off the Knotty Boy Garlic Knots!! The beer though I tasted it wasnt bad but Im not a beer drinker, my hubby was very disappointed so thats 2 out of 5 stars and the tableware scores a zero!! I wasn't on a picnic and the paper and plastic screams picnic or lazy kitchen staff to me!! So, would I recommend? I must say overall, 3 stars out of 5 stars! I recommend you go and decide for yourself!
