Had been there a 6 years ago after moving down here from the Great North! Asked coworkers here for suggestions for a good Gyro which is impossible to find in these parts. They suggested Milano's. I realize that the people down here don't know what good food is, if they've never been to Chicago. I was highly disappointed and just chalked it up to them not knowing any better. So, let me fast forward to now. I have a new girlfriend here from originally the Midwest also. She was wanting to try and find a good Italian place and I still had this place in the back of my head. I wasn't going to judge them based on one dish and thought I'd give it another chance. We decided to go on a weekday. They had plenty of seating. The restaurant had that familiar smell that we were used to which similar to back home! The service was quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. I expressed my prior experience to our waitress and she explained how things are so much better now than before. We ordered appetizers and the main dinner, pizza. The portions were great, the flavor was awesome, and the price was very affordable! I paid close attention to the bill as most places lately will try to slide in that newer 3.5% credit card fee on you and they didn't even do that!!! I'm glad that that they didn't because when places start nickel and diming to that extent, they will drop onto my 'do not repeat' list. Always been a favorite for us in LaGrange. Not a pretentious place, but really nice decor and atmosphere. The meat plate appetizer can feed two adults easily and is delicious. All the pasta dishes are great, but for us the killer is the Milano's Special Pizza. Served hot from the oven the crust has a light crispness on the bottom that has to be the best ever! Super desserts in the showcase, and save room for the cheesecake baklava! Always pretty busy but they manage the dining room well so the wait is not ever very long. read more

Milano's is a favorite for my wife and friends. Went on 9-28-22 and as always ordered desert after the meal. The red velvet cake and the coconut cake was terrible. The icing did not have that butter cream flavor. We both threw away the cake after a couple of bites. Please go back to your previous cake icing. read more

Huge, delicious portions. My husband and I were staying at Great Wolf Lodge with our two kids and a friend recommended Milano's. I am sure glad we decided to leave the resort for dinner as we had twice the food for half the price. We had the House Special Pasta, the Gyro Plate and a Pepperoni Pizza. We just moved here a few months back and have been excited about trying some good places to eat in town. This place was recommend by several people so we decided to finally give it a try last night. I would give it more stars, however we were a little disappointed in a few things. Upon arriving if you walk in on the right side of the building through the parking lot, there is a huge nasty and dirty exhaust type fan that blows right on you. Stuff leaks out and on you as you walk by. Pretty gross. A gentleman was walking behind us and made the statement "did you just get wet too that was nasty" He was disgusted by it as well. Not a good first impression when you are about to eat dinner there in my opinion. We entered the restaurant and it took a bit for the hostess to acknowledge us but when she did it was good from there except my entree. I will say the server was amazing, the salad and bread was good, but my dish really disappointed me and I also got sick from it sadly. I got the tour of Italy and the chicken parmesan was awful. The lasagna and manacotti were edible only bc I was so hungry. I tolerated the cold temperature of it. Is the food fresh prepared to order or premade and frozen? The chicken was almost all bread and very hard to even cut. The small piece of chicken that was under the breading was very cold like frozen. I didn't eat but a bite. Our server was super busy with a large party and others and I didn't want to burden her or complain so I just left it all on plate and when dessert was suggested we said no bc we just wanted to leave. We did want dessert prior to our meal bc that chocolate strawberry cheesecake sure looked good before we got sat but after the cold meal we just wanted to close out and get out of there. Sadly, I was up all night sick, so I think it's safe to say we won't be back. Hoping other new goers have a better experience and better food too. read more

Whenever we travel, we seek out small scale chains/non-chain pizza restaurants to find out what we're missing back home. We would definitely gain weight with a Milano's nearby. The pizza was wonderful and the combo platter was great! The item that pushed the review to five stars was the greek accent provided by the spinach pie in the combo platter. If we lived closer, we'd visit regularly to explore the menu further. Well worth the drive from hotel hell in Lagrange. read more

Only reason they got one star is because you can't leave zero. Ordered food and part of my order came incorrectly. The order took an hour to get here, and when I called back to get the correct order, they took another hour and a half to bring it to me. When I called AGAIN to find out where my new order was, they told me I was allowed to keep the incorrect order, that the driver ran out of gas, and that the order would be here soon. Mind you, he left the original ticket and forgot our address AND ran out of gas, all while the hostess on the phone was laughing the whole thing off. Well when the order got here, the delivery driver asked us for the wrong order back (which mind you is UNSANITARY because YOU CANT REUSE THAT FOOD) and the food box was broken and the food was all over the inside of the bag. On top of it all, our pizza was cold, which based on the drivers request to have the wrong order back makes me think the pizza was leftover from someone else's order. Will probably never order from here again. Do better. read more

I placed a delivery order. Substituted chicken in my gyro. and order potato skins. Waited 45 plus minutes to have it delivered. The order was wrong. It was a regular gyro!!!! I called back talked to 2 people with great customer service skills. They said the would fix the mistake and send out a new one. Awesome. But wait...a call back from the restaurant from a very angry man with a threatening tone. I should the customer should have ordered something different on the menu if I wanted chicken. This was my fault! I needed to educated on properly ordering from them. Wow.... I have never been attacked like this. The meal was feed to the dogs. The restaurant didn't make it right. Very nice staff. Was having lunch with my mother and had to watch her eat.... Ordered a calzone which I had to send back twice because it was cold in the middle, the cheese unmelted. Then once it came back, I took two bites and found a hair. I probably wouldn't have bothered with this review if the whole ticket ($7.35 was the price of my mom's lunch) had been complementary since my appetite and our lunch was ruined. The server was very apologetic and very sweet. While the owner, who was actually there, didn't even come out to apologize. Therefore, I'm only giving 1 star for this review. read more

The prices are good as well, it's cheaper for my family to order their pizzas than to order with Pizza Hut or Dominos. They deliver for a cheap fee in my neighborhood and they are speedy. Great little place. Stopped to get gas and saw this and decided to give it a try for lunch. They bring out hot fresh baked bread with marinara sauce while you are looking at the menu. Nice extra touch. Gryro wrap was one of the best I've had!!! Hamburger was large and chargrilled with crunchy on outside and hot and creamy on inside steak fries. I would be here all the time if we lived nearby. Dessert looked amazing but was so full from Gyro and fries. Josh was our waiter and was very attentive. This won't disappoint. read more
