We hadn't been here in five years and not much has changed. Milberger's Farm has a slightly different focus than some of the other farms in the area. If you're looking for a big variety of chili products, the selection is a bit limited, but they make up for it with a great assortment of jellies, jams, popcorn, and fudge that are fun to browse. The service really stood out, the sales clerk was friendly and made us feel welcome right away. They also have a restaurant on-site, and it was very busy on a Sunday, so clearly a popular spot with locals. Milberger has excellent service purchasing and roasting chili. They have a multiple roast and rinse process which makes it super easy to remove any small bits of roasted skin that might not come off. The chilies are very flavorful and delicious. We have been doing business with MF for years and have always been very satisfied with the product and service. Went in to get some roasted chile and was greeted by a nice gentleman their little store is pretty nice it has a bakery and restaurant with a salad bar. The chile is probably the best I have gotten from Pueblo their chili is very vibrant and colorful. Definitely going back next year! read more

Great food, the gobbler has lots of turkey and fresh lettuce, tomato, onion all on a super fresh in house hoagie roll. So soft and fluffy. Cold and fresh ice tea with lots of ice. Fun place to grab a bite and go shopping. Excellent rubs and spices you don't see in the big chain stores. Their bakery had yummy treats too! I wouldn't recommend this place in the off season. We just went yesterday and spent over $150 and sh** was bad. We had our 2 meals (kids already ate elsewhere lucky for them) and I ended up leaving a 25% tip on those 2 meals. The rest of the ticket was other odd assortments they have at the farm. The salad bar, I was going to get but the lettuce was all brown so I tried asking if they had other lettuce and the girl said no and kept walking. So another lady then came up to me and asked if I was going to eat the salad.. I said no, I put the box of salad there because I tried to talk to the... got cut off again. I managed to tell her moldly food can kill people. I paid for everything and tipped the ladies who are the same group of women during in-season time as well. They are just as rude then too, but maybe they're just tolerable because the farm is up and running and people are happy. I didnt know until I left that when I was being rang up, one of the ladies rolled her eyes right at me. My husband told me just too late to not say f*** it and shove their food back in their snotty faces with a good "I didn't want any of it anyways!!" .. unfortunately I got to say none of that but by the time I left, I had had enough and my kids are still talking about "the mean old ladies at the farm" 2 days later! I wouldn't come there again JUST because of those ladies. Regardless of the moldy food and sky soaring prices. Oh and we got home and the frozen bread is from last season, pretty sure! It's not dethawing right and is like mush! Absolutely disgusting. I also got the garlic dill pickles that were $15.99 a jar and they were HORRIBLE. I haven't met a pickle I didn't love until Milbergers. Never returning. Girl in the kitchen was the only nice woman there I came in contact with. Wait staff was horrible. read more

While the food was fairly good (lunch menu), and the service was okay (kinda slow), I really don't appreciate that I did not get a check. I had to go to the register, where I was only given a total. There was no breakdown of our meals whatsoever. Apparently, that's how they do business. For this reason alone, I will never return. read more

If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping in at Milberger Farms for a sandwich. The location is convenient if you are near the airport or heading east on Highway 50. The parking lot is big and can accommodate a truck and a fifth wheel. Milberger also has fuel pumps on location if you need gas with your sandwich :). I went to Milberger Farms with some Pueblo natives. They recommended this place as having some of the best Grinder Sandwiches in town. Well as much as I like sausage sandwiches, I had to try a slopper. If you haven't had the opportunity to try a open face cheeseburger smothered in homemade green chile....here is your chance. The slopper was a great meal...not the best I've had, but pretty darn good. The green chile was spicy enough to make your tastebuds wakeup, but not enough to sweat. The rest of Milberger Farms offer a small farmers market, a small shopping area of local jams, jellies, and salsas. There is also a bakery area that offers an assortment of great homemade sweets. If you are a health nut, they also offer a pretty decent salad bar. Overall....I will be returning if I am ever in the area of Milberger Farms. read more

DON'T buy At Pueblo Chile festival from them, they'll tell you an hour and then make you wait an extra half hour, I had to be back in Denver and a lady handed me a cold bag of Chile??? Unmmm after roasting it should it be HOT??? I have a sack full of cold not even roasted Chile!!!! and I buy form this farm a lot for my whole family, NOT ANYMORE, I'll be looking for a new place to buy from... what a waste of an over priced $70 dollars for a bushel?!? Visited this place one time - used my debit card on 8/31/2018 to pay for lunch here. Then on 9/24/2018, this merchant fraudulently charged $63.15 on that same card. They have a thief working there, apparently. Now I have to dispute this charge with my bank and have the hassle of having my debit card cancelled and waiting for a new one. I'd have liked to have given this place 4.5 stars, but that's not an option but based on a review that I just gave to another restaurant which received 5 stars, I couldn't quite match this one up; however it was quite good. They have a small grocery store in the shop which sells primarily produce which would have been great had we been locals, but we were just passing through and had a long drive ahead of us and no where really to put anything else. Everything looked very fresh - e.g. right off the farm! Their food is very made from the same fresh produce as far as I could tell. I had a sandwich and originally I'd asked for no tomatoes, but then I saw their tomatoes in their salad bar and they were RED!!! I mean, really red!! Therefore I asked him to go ahead with the tomatoes. They were delicious!! The turkey was fresh and tasty and the bread was homemade and yummy! My boyfriend got a turkey panini and the salad bar and said his food was delicious also. He indicated that it was the best tomato he'd had in a long time. After our lunch, we went over to their little bakery and both ordered a couple things. I had the critters and the rocky road chocolate. I liked the critters so much that I asked my bf to go back in for me and see if they happened to have any more. They had a few more so he bought those for me also. I thought my rocky road thing was just a bit too sweet though so I was glad I'd only bought one. He had a chocolate chip cookie and a snickerdoodle cookie and said they were both good. My only complaint if I had to call it that was that it wasn't clear how things were supposed to work from a customer standpoint. Turns out that you just go to the counter and order your food but then you go to a different counter to pay for it. This wasn't problematic, it just wasn't well marked. On the other hand, in their defense we came in at a strange time - right between breakfast and lunch so they were still setting up for lunch. And we're not locals so we just weren't familiar with how it was supposed to work. All in all, definitely a great experience and we'd go back if we went by there again. And... also agreed that if there was a place like this near where we lived we'd probably frequent it - a lot!! Definitely go if you're in Pueblo and you have a chance! read more

These guys sell a ton of stuff. They've got a lunch counter, with a nice sized menu. If you're up for it, the White Trash sandwich (fried bologna, Pueblo Chile and potato chips on bread) is fun, but I like their sausage sandwiches. They sell fresh veggies from their fields, and a wide array of other things - especially with Pueblo Chile in them. The place has a decent market area. But the restaurant service was bad, we asked if we could exchange the drink that comes with the combo meal with a salad because we only drink water and the difference in price was a dollar so we said we would pay the difference. They refused, then they said they would get a manager to come to our table, then. we never saw a manager, and they ignored us the rest of the time! Horrible customer service!!!!! Never even came back and said anything about the issue, or offered the drink or anything in place of it! And didn't bring the salad. What is our customer service coming to? Was in Pueblo on vacation and I stopped in for their Pueblo Chile. One problem, the season wasn't kicking in for another two weeks. The chef behind the grill heard my story that I came in from Texas and I was hoping to try a Pueblo Chile for the first time. He came from the back to tell me that he had walked the property and found 2 that had sprung early. He cooked them up and served them to me. He didn't have to do that, it was so nice of him to do so. Such great service and a friendly staff as well. And good food. Hopefully, when I'm back in the area, I will be able to stop by once again. read more

Been there twice and each time they overcharged. They don't bring your ticket to the table so you can review it- so when you go pay at the register, the cashier just starts punching numbers. Make sure when you order a half sandwich that they don't charge you for a full one because they will. Even after you tell them twice. Our waiter was nice but a little creepy coming up behind and talking to our backs. They have the BEST frosted sugar cookies in town- highly recommend. Dozen tamales are overpriced so we passed. Green chili tortillas and bread we purchased from the bakery were fresh and very tasty. The green chili wrap had too much melted cheese and garlic salt - kind of gross so I couldn't finish it. Green chili fries are awesome. Slopper was delicious and the salad bar has a wide variety of fresh produce. The next time we are in the county we will give them another try - and insist that we get a ticket at the table so that we can review it before we pay too much again. read more
