I just took a cab (#135) home from a concert at dicks sporting goods park and when the driver put $5 on the meter to start and I asked him why he pulled over in the middle of the road in the middle of no where like he was gonna kick me out and I would be stranded so I told him to keep driving. When we got to our destination after he drove 90 mph on the highway he confronted me about not giving him a better tip. I explained that the $4 extra he charged me for no reason should cover that. This is why they are loosing to the car services. I felt completely in danger the entire ride and when I called the company I got no interest in resolution. I got a Mile High cab from the taxi line at Denver Intl Airport and said I was going to the Denver Tech Center (which has a flat rate). Once we were driving he asked for an exact address so I gave him one. It turned out to be 1/2 block past the flat rate zone, which he never mentioned, but charged me $20 more than I expected to pay. Mile High Cab will try to scam you. Our driver last night didn't even turn on the fare meter, then tried charging us $20 for a one mile trip. We gave them $10 but they must be a "mile high" if they think they can rip us off like that. Boycott. read more

This cab company sucks. The drivers are contracted through the company and own their own cars. One driver in cab number 112 charged is 68$ for a flat rate fee that was supposed to be 55$ from the airport. We were unaware of this flat rate and ended up giving the driver 75$ after a tip. After calling management, we were told that there wasn't much they could do because of our cash transaction and the fact that they don't meter the ride because it was to and from the airport, that they can't PROVE that he picked us up from the airport. How's that for logic? Do not use this cab company. They'll rip you off and make you feel taken advantage of. I'd give zero stars if yelp would let me. read more

We ordered a cab a day before and they were late picking us up. On the return trip (oh, wait there WAS no return trip.) Nobody showed up to drive us back. We wanted to make this an easy night in terms of transportation yet Mile High Cab totally ruined our chances of that. I will be sure to recommend AGAINST using this cab service. Got Ripped off. The guy drove daughter fr. DIA to Boulder in AM directly to a Funeral service. I met them inorder to use my credit card. She had already punched in the fare and tip. The driver put that sum up again for me along with a choice of tips to enter. Like a fool because I was under such stress, I gave him a 25% tip. The bill ended up being $150.00. I'm traveler from Spokane. I left my cell phone in a cab. The entire staff at Mile High Cab Company went above and beyond to get it back to me. My driver, Daniel, was courteous and drove very well. I don't often go to Denver. But should I need another cab ride in that area, I would definitely use Mile High. read more

This was by far the worst cab experience I've ever had, and I moved to CO from NYC where I've taken hundreds of cabs and been with a lot of good and horrible drivers. My driver charged my card for $75 and then said it didn't go through. I know it went through bc I checked my phone. We ended up getting into a screaming match to the point that the police were called. The police basically said that I would have to pay the driver again and then dispute the charge. I waited several days (as the incident happened on the weekend) to see if both pending charges would go through on my bank card, which they did. I then called the Cab company to dispute the charge and was told they would look into it. I was not in any way reassured, especially after reading so many horrible reviews of this cab company. So, I called my bank to dispute the charge directly, and to my relief, the CSR told me that her grandfather who worked for Yellow Cab had always told her to NEVER use Mile High Cab because of their shady tactics and horrible service. She said she would be happy to file a dispute. Please do yourself a favor and NEVER EVER get in a Mile High Cab. read more

Took a Mile High Cab from Brown Palace to Convention Center. Cab number 559. When I told the driver where I was going he said "it is close enough to walk". I already knew this but had a large amount of items for my booth and did not wish to walk. As he drove to the convention center I noticed the meter was not on. When we got there I asked how much I owed him. He said $10.00. I had been taking cabs to the Convention Center for 2 days and had never paid more than $4.85. I called him on it and said the price should be around $5.00. He said "make it $6.00". Really? Will be telling management of Brown Palace. read more

I scheduled a pick up for one morning to go to the airport, I was VERY clear in asking if they would be able to do the pick up, and I was told no problem. I called the driver several times to make sure he was coming and would be there ON Time. So finally 5 mins before the pick up I called again and he said he was on his way and identified his location which was another 15 mins before he arrived, I told him he wasn't going to get there in time, and he said he would be there in 15 mins. Well 15 mins later I called again and said are you there, and then I got an excuse that the dispatcher gave the wrong city name on the order, I just hung up and got my people to the airport. About 7 minutes after talking to the driver I get a call asking if we still needed the pick up they were only 2 mins away...................really. read more

The taxi driver tried to cheat me! I was picked up at my hotel downtown and drove me to the airport. There is a flat fare from downtown to Denver International Airport of $51. When we arrived at the airport, the driver wanted to charge me a metered fare of approximately $66. I told him that I would pay the flat fare of $51. He then said there was also an airport gate fee of over $5. I told him that that only applies to trips originating at the airport. I paid the $51, with no tip -- I was not about to tip a cheater. read more

I was going to the Denver Tech Centre which has a flat rate. The guy would not give me the flat rate and instead charged me 100 plus 14.57 in tolls which should have only been $4.57. Then he started to scream at me threatened to call the police. When I called and reported the guy as well as requested for my money to be refunded I was told that I would be refunded and that they would call me back to confirm all of the details. Mile High charges more per mile than other cab companies, so a 25-mile trip from the airport can cost about an extra $25. If you are in line at airport and they drive up, WAIT for a different cab company!!! terrible. i also just called to make a complaint and the woman was not very helpful. though the cab driver was nice, apparently it was up to him if he wanted to charge me the flat rate since i literally live blocks within (and closer to the airport than) the flat rate zone. he said it would only be $5-7 more than the flat rate fee...it was over $20 more. i should have called a lyft. the woman was not helpful, and apparently the driver got and extra $20 out of me even though he said he would be punished by the company if he charged me the flat rate. never use this service. a rip off totally. a lyft would have been half the price! read more

I called for a cab and they said the driver would call me when he arrived. When the driver called he said he was 3min away. Upon his arrival I went to the door and said my name and he said hold on, he then proceeded to ask two other gentlemen standing near me if they had called a cab to which they said "yes yellow cab" and he asked them where they were going. I interjected "what is the name of your passenger" he ignored me and told them he could take them bc they said they were going farther away. Funny, I had his cell phone # from when he called me (his actual rider) and called it back and no answer... I called dispatch and they apologized and said there were no more cabs. I will NEVER use this company again and do not recommend them. Its a shame too bc the previous rides I used them for I tipped $7 on $16.50 fares. This company should be aware they have a jerk driver like this (although they didn't seem to care!). Today should be his last day. read more
