OUTSTANDING IN ALL RESPECTS!! We are restoring a stretch of urban creek in Prescott and hired Brandon and Mile High to remove some of the largest and most complicated adult Siberian elm (aggressively invasive trees to be replaced with 100+ native trees). In Summary: A+! Superb in every respect! Brandon was so relaxed and flexible, yet professional. He provided us with the lowest bid to do the work and then moved on with the ever-changing job, exceeding expectations at every turn. First, they removed some complicated trees tangled in power lines and over sensitive infrastructure. Second, we had already planted about 40 trees. So we were very particular about how he felled the trees so as not to harm the newly planted ones (as it turned out, he was SO cognizant and attentive to protecting our planted and native plants that he frequently climbed to micro-manage the debris fall, so as not to hurt even one - five-gallon plantings). He never missed a perfect drop.... NO plantings were hurt despite the odds. We were constantly changing the details... adding some trees and removing others to cut, asking them to chip additional branches (up to about 8" in diameter!) from our own collections of branches from before he got on site. All told, he dumped about five huge loads of chips (on our site for future use as mulch) because he basically did us a huge favor of cleaning up both his "mess" and ALL the "mess" we had made before he ever got on site. And, to be clear, everything discussed was calm, easy, kind-hearted, good-natured, and relaxed... he never pushed his advantage... he just kept saying, "Thank you for the work." with an easy sincere smile. And you can tell that he and his great team enjoyed their work. They were laughing, relaxed, and professional throughout. As a DIY cutter myself, I wanted to learn their trade. I watched for hours as they worked... as they scaled trees and nuanced the falls (angling falls away from the tree's lean) etc... Brandon would show me the cuts afterward and explain them. "You see how I left some wood here (splintered) on this side of the trunk? That's so during the fall the uneven cut would use the tree's fibers to pull the falling trunk over to this side to avoid that sapling." (paraphrased... but you get the point. He took the time to teach me... always with a genuine smile.) I could go on and on... singing their praises. This is a totally 100% pro operation with GREAT skills and the BEST work and business ethic (customer-oriented) I've seen in a long time from any business. I'll toss in a few snapshots... Oh, and they left the job site 25x cleaner than they found it (because we had been doing a lot of work before they arrived). They cleaned up their "mess" AND our mess!!! I hope this helps. read more

Mile High Tree service is a professional and affordable tree service in the Prescott AZ area. Owner/operator Justin Kaoni is friendly and kind. He is good at explaining the process and answering any questions. In fact, his whole staff is friendly and courteous! I was very impressed with their state of the art equipment and safe working practice. They work together as a well oiled machine, fast and efficient. They moved anything that may be in harms way, even covering the roof with plywood to protect it from falling debris. They completed the job within the time frame estimated and left the property cleaner than it was before they started. The job they were faced with was no walk in the park. I had a 70' Ponderosa pine leaning against a hollow 50' Gamble oak distanced 2' away from my house. These trees were between my house, well pump house and backyard deck. This required the use of a big crane to swing the logs over everything and be placed in the back yard for cutting into manageable pieces. I have to say that Brandon of Mile High Tree Service is a life-saver! Literally. A life saver: on a Friday afternoon, firefighters had tried to get my cat out of a Ponderosa Pine by spraying her with a hose. Not only did it not work, but now she was even more traumatized and cold and wet. I couldn't let her stay in the tree, cold and wet, another night. She had already been in the tree one night. I was desperate. I began calling tree services in Prescott. Brandon came to my house on Friday afternoon, used his equipment to climb the tree to induce her to come down. He has to be the most compassionate and deserving of all of the businesses I spoke with that day. And he, good to his word, came to the rescue on very short notice. After some web research and Yelp reviews, I contacted Justin at Mile High Tree Service, and liking what I heard on the phone, we made an appointment for him to assess our needs. On the day of the appointment, he called prior to coming over, a nice touch which I appreciated, and he arrived at the appointed time. We had recently moved into our new home and our lovely view was partially obstructed by two large alligator junipers, plus we had some pinion pines which were overhanging the roof/gutters, and a couple aspens that had been planted WAY too close to the house and were also impinging on the gutters. Justin walked the property with us, explained what he and his team would do, recommended a pest control specialist for the scale on a couple of the pines, and said he'd get back to me with an estimate. I had the estimate very quickly, it was a price we felt reasonable for the scope of the job, and asked Justin to go ahead. He gave us a couple of options for having the job done, we chose one, and he and his team came at the appointment time, again Justin called first to let us know he was on the way. The work was performed quickly and with expertise and we were so pleased with the results! The crew also spent time cleaning up every scrap of tree trim, as well as removing some small limbs we had trimmed back when we moved in to allow our movers easy access. What a delight it is to look out our windows now and see "forever" - we were missing more than we realized! In April 25 I received an e-mail back from Mike High Tree service saying they would be glad to take a look at the trees that needed to be trimmed, they asked for my address I have them my address When I didn't hear back I emailed again April 30 asking if someone could get in touch so Shannon emailed back that Brandon would call me that evening to set something up for the next day. Today is May 10 I never heard back from anyone. That is a terrible way to do business. read more
