Jonny came out to evaluate our alligator junipers, one of which was browner than "normal" and we learned so much. He's extremely knowledgeable and a certified arborist. Pleasure to meet him. We scheduled to have all our trees sprayed to get rid of the pests that had made themselves at home. Rebecca (Becca), from the Spray Division, came out and sprayed. Super nice, knows her business and highly recommend her as well. Due to the wind she couldn't spray the first time she came out but it wasn't difficult to reschedule. Lastly (so far) the tree trimming/clear brush crew were here today. Wen and his crew (Dave and Landon) were amazing. They worked so hard for a full day and we will schedule at least another day with them. Very happy with what they got accomplished! Really helped start a fire break -which is needed where we are in Prescott. Again HIGHLY recommend this company. We will be contacting their Irrigation Division next for a check and set up of our irrigation system as we just bought the home 7 months ago. I called the company that had removed a tree for us about 2 years ago. Turns out Johnny's bought them out. I had Johnny's come out and give an estimate for removing a dead tree that was between our house and our neighbors. Johnny came out promptly, gave me an estimate for the tree, noticed we had 2 more dead trees. He suggested to remove them while the crew was going to be onsite with the chipper. We are so pleased with the project completed by Jonny's Tree and Landscaping. Their crew was amazing, kind, respectful and professional. From the superb communication with Lori through the entire process, to Kenny and job design help and proposal (even coming out a 2nd tme to discuss and modify the artificial turf space). Then there was the hard working crew led by Jeremiah we were so pleased to be here working this project. They took great care in making sure the turf area was level to our covered patio and redistributed gravel where needed. They hooked up all new trees and plants to our existing drip system and DJ made sure the connection of an auto timer was fitted correctly to the home as to not leak when water on 24/7. Review of Job Performance Jonny's Tree & Landscape Company On May 18, 2019 Jonny's Tree & Landscape Company sent a crew to cut the very tall dead grass on the vacant lot next door to us. They used weed eaters which threw many long dead pieces of grass all over my side yard which I had just cleaned that morning before they arrived. When I saw my side yard, which had been pristine hours earlier, fully covered with their debris I called my next door neighbor who lives out of town to report the mess they had left in my side yard. I also told him that they did not cut his entire lot as he had told me he had paid them to do. He apologized and then called Jonny's and told them to complete the cut on his lot and to clean up the mess they had left on my side yard. The crew did return shortly and finished up his cutting. I guess they were angry that I had informed my neighbor that they did not complete his job, so one especially nasty young man came onto my side yard with his powerful blower and proceeded to blast my landscape rock which was covered with their grass clippings. He raised so much dust that I was choking and my eyes were full of grit. Then he told me that is "IT" and headed for his work truck to leave. My painter saw their mess and laughed, saying they call that a cleanup? I followed the Jonny's worker and told him that it was entirely an unsatisfactory clean up and he needed to return and pick up the dead grass clippings which he had now blown behind my A/C unit, into and behind my shrubbery, and under the entire side wall of my house. He did come back and hand pick up a handful of the debris which was now spread out three times as far as when he arrived. He took a photo of his handful of dead grass and told me he was going to show it to his supervisor. As he left, I showed him my Russian sage, clearly on my lot that he had clipped to the ground right in front of the survey boundary pin. I called Jonny's and did chat with two polite front office women, Courtney and Brianna, and told them that I wanted someone to come pick up the dead grass that now covered my bushes, my A/C, and all side corners of my house. She apologized and told me that she would talk to Kenny the Landscape Superintendent. Soon after she called me back and told me that Kenny would only send a crew back to clean up THEIR MESS if I or my neighbor PAID them to do it. Kenny claimed, (with never being on the job site), that it was impossible to keep dead debris clippings off of adjacent property when they were cutting vacant lots. So that makes it the neighbors' problem? My husband is currently disabled and dealing with lymphoma and we are both in our mid 70's. We spent several hours this morning picking up JONNY's dead debris clippings and have more to pick up over the next several days. I find Kenny's attitude to be outrageous and I have never been treated with such disrespect as by the young man with the blower. I guess they think they can bully senior citizens and mistreat them. I told their customer, our neighbor, what they had done and how they refused to clean up their mess unless he or I paid them to clean up their mess and he said he would never use them again. I have now told four other neighbors of their conduct and none of them will be using Jonny's Tree and Landscape either. I plan to continue telling this story until I have told all of my neighbors plus the Council of XXXX at Prescott HOA . I guess business is booming for Jonny's Tree and Landscape Company and they don't need to give anything but meaningless lip service as to how they do their best to give good customer service. Some day, when the economy turns again, they will be needing some of their potential customers that I am talking to who will never ever use them after hearing of their unacceptable behavior. No one I spoke to evidently heard what I was saying. I am somewhat satisfied with only one out of three items that were trimmed. It literally brought tears to my eyes when I saw what had been done to my beautiful tree and bush. I had told Jonny that I wanted 2 or 3 feet off the top of a bush, he said thats not enough to be able to trim it. Well, it ended up being trimmed 45%, and being concave in the middle. Concave! They told me it was dead in the middle and thats the way it needed to be trimmed. But it had been growing in the middle, it had green leaves so how come it was dead to them? My beautiful blue spruce, it was before they started anyway. I told the guy that was trimming that I hated, hated, hated when beautiful pine trees were trimmed up three or four feet and seeing that much trunk. Well, guess what my tree looked like upon completion?. To be fair, the guy doing the trimming kept referring back to his bosses instructions, so it appears it was Jonny himself that was not listening nor paying attention to what I was saying. They pruned and shaped(crowned) our Ash tree, and pruned a second ash tree. They spend about 1-1/2 hours to complete and cleanup after the job. It seems that it was a lot more expensive that I thought it should be. Was expecting the tree to be shaped much better afterward, but it didn't look very different. Hopefully it looks better next spring, or I will use a pole saw and do it myself. I should have gotten multiple bids. All the workers were very friendly and quite professional. I tried to call Johnny's 3 times to cancel w/o reaching a human before finally leaving a message canceling my appointment. A week later Jonny showed up while the other company was working. I was wasn't home so he felt justified in being very rude to my wife, complaining about his wasted time and the poor work the other company was doing (in his opinion). Not only would I not hire this company to pull weeds, should I ever meet mt Jonny on the street we will continue the conversation he started with my wife. They are extremely disorganized, and can't seem to remember what you tell them. I have had them come over and go over an extensive project with me, and then never send me an estimate. When I called, they sent me a screwed up one because they couldn't remember what they said. My neighbor told me they had a similar experience. They are supposed to come over and automatically turn on my water in the spring and they forget. Also, they have repeatedly backed a trailer into my wall.
