I've been to their 18-hole night golf couple times. Huge golf course. Bright and pure fun. I think they closed around 10pm so I suggest try to make it to 18th hole before they closed as they turn off the lights. Lol. I also come here to range often. Small bucket cost $8 and Large bucket cost $16. Clean, quiet, spacious enough in-between golfers. Their last call to get golf balls at 9pm. So plan to come early. I Love coming here. Patrons are nice and respectful.

Its Two Star 2uesday again! MS golf course in FV on Warner at the foot of Ward (b/t Brookhurst & Euclid). If I am not mistaken, the original course was built in the 60's and offered tree lined bending fairways. A newer course was added 20 or so yrs ago, and the original course was changed w/ some new holes. The newer course was closed this year, so the original course now has more holes from the newer course. Positives: Good challenge w/ bending fairways and a fair amount of trees; Reasonably priced; Close proximity to HB. Negatives: New, old course is contrived. #15 is a par 3 that was part of a hole from the newer course; Par 74 - Most courses are par 72-71-70 (amount of shots it will take you to play the course if you are an excellent golfer. Most amateurs take 80-90+ shots to complete a course. I have never heard of a par 74. The course would be better off w/o the contrived par 3. And lastly, the deal killer is the play is slow AF! We were behind a group of ladies who acted like it was the Book of the Month Club, and discussed every shot. We waited on every shot of every hole. You do not have to be a good player to be a fast player. Hit your ball when its your turn and go to the next shot. I complained to the pro shop and they placated us by coming out, but didn't do anything to speed up play. In the past I have had a marshal tell my group we were playing slowly. We finished our round in 3 hours, 1:20 faster than is allotted: WTF?! There is no way I would return to this old, new, contrived course. The new layout leaves much to be desired, and the course plays slow AF.

Course changes are still developing, making some holes less the desirable. Decent track however.

I was beyond awful, never kept score, only played for fun/frustration a couple times a year, etc. I found Lew on Yelp and, even though he was further from me than many other instructors, his reviews gave me a good feeling - I called and we started lessons immediately. I told him about my event coming up, my realistic goal of simply not embarrassing myself, but to treat me like a beginner who knew absolutely nothing - we began building a new swing from scratch. Lew didn't just teach me how to fix something, he taught me why it was happening and gave me a pedagogical understanding that has helped me to analyze and solve my own problems outside of our lessons. He is incredible at diagnosing problems, trying multiple methods to fix problems until one clicks for you, helping you think from a holistic perspective, and taking time to defuse things when you're mentally kicking your own ass. By the time my tournament came around, I sucked...but I sucked SO much less than I used to. And, most importantly, I didn't humiliate myself (and actually made the winning putt for my team on the 18th). The truth: it's not easy...it's frustrating as hell...there's no magic wand. However, everything is always done for a reason with the result in mind and, if you trust the process, you WILL see the results. Lew has made me love the process - and, to get better at anything, that's the most important aspect. A year later - I'm still happily taking lessons with Lew and my game is lightyears beyond where it was a year ago.

If you invite your clients to a private country club, it's your responsibility to explain everything in detail regarding club dress code. It has to be a written explanation point by point describing what is allowed and what isn't. I'm not a member of that club, so I had no clue about their strict policy of not wearing sport shorts. Just canceling someone's lesson due to miscommunication on your part is lame and shows your ignorance and lack of respect for your clients.

During a big golf trip two years ago, I developed a major shank in my irons and had lost all confidence in my game. I was back to three digit scores and would celebrate if I broke 100. I took a break and finally decided to seriously consider lessons. I found Laurent through TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) as he was one of the highest rated teachers in the area. I went in for an assessment and in that session alone he was able to address some things that had me go from shank to baby draws at the end. I signed up for a lesson package that consisted of 5x two hour lessons. In my first and only lesson, we focused on iron shots and permanently removing the shank. He tried many different approaches to get me to address my problem and we used the entire two hours to find the right fix. After the lesson, he texted me a practice plan with a breakdown of the drills I needed to do every day. His follow-up and willingness to put in the extra effort in communication outside of the lesson shows he cares and see this as a team effort. He holds you accountable for the effort and discipline needed to succeed. This is where the value of his coaching style stands out, you get way more than you pay for. Rather than go back in for a second lesson, I focused on the drills and implementing what we worked on in my game. I did this all summer on a regular basis. I'm now consistently shooting in the 80's and my playing buddies have noticed the difference. This with just one iron lesson. I'm now anxious to go back and work on some of my iron misses and start working on woods. On top of all the great coaching, he also shows a lot of interest in me personally and has helped me connect with other folks in his network. I feel fortunate to have found him and to be a part of Team Laurent!

I had assumed that would be a personalized plan on how we would improve my game. But it was just a list of his rates for different ranges of people. I'm sure the same thing he sends to everyone. If that was all he was going to send, why not just give me that info before the assessment? Also, I understand this is an assessment and not a lesson but I think the assessment is not only for him to assess me but for me to gauge how I like his teaching style. Alas, I didn't get any comment on my swing or what he would be trying to improve. So I asked him over text what his plan for me was but he ignored the question and just responded with something about not competing with youtube or range "pros". edit(Response to his comment): Nothing I said is incorrect. You are right you sent me your rates on Sept 24th 2022 at 12:54pm. That is AFTER the assessment @9am on the same day. I've attached our texts as proof. Perhaps instead of name calling, you could appreciate that my experience was not great and try to improve....

I was a paying member up until today, and unfortunately, I have decided saving a couple extra dollars on pf is not worth the disrespect at this location. The manager, Marco, micromanages and is extremely condescending and rude. He lectured my friend and I about resting. No one was waiting for the preacher curl machine, and my friend was resting on his phone between sets. Marco came over and told us we weren't allowed to be on our phones between sets. I asked him what we should be looking like when resting, and instead of giving a real response, he told me I should already know the policy. He also said we weren't allowed to rest and had to be working all the time. The policy is a long list of rules, and according to him, Im not allowed to be on my phone. I had no way to check the policy online. So I am confused as to why he wouldn't tell me the policy when he yelled at me for being on my phone. He automatically assumed we were high schoolers and threatened to kick us out. I am a paying member, and the automatic assumption I do not pay to be here because I am young is incredibly rude. I am upset he couldn't answer our questions; you are the manager here, the least you could do is clearly explain what is expected of us. Offhand, Marco is a bad driver. He were pulling out of the parking lot on another day and he almost hit us. So if you needed another reason to not come besides Marco having bad customer service, he's a bad driver. There's also this old cleaning lady who's super mean. Im not sure if she's here anymore, but I was biking and she came over and hit me with a dirty wet rag. I was shocked. I took my AirPods out and she asked me if the bottle on the ground was mine. It wasn't-- but slapping me with a dirty rag was rude. All in all, this planet fitness has a thing for hiring workers with poor customer service. You pay hard earned money to be here. You deserve to get a good workout without being micromanaged like a kid. Please heed my advice and stop taking the disrespect. Workout elsewhere. The extra money will buy you peace of mind.
