Ground-in greasy stains everywhere, black dirt trails in the high traffic lanes, and some dog tinkle in a few small places. Some other company had allegedly worked on it beforehand, but it didn't look like they had made any difference. We chose Chem-Dry because we liked their natural/nontoxic soaps, and also because they don't flood the carpet with gallons of water. It's berber, so we wanted to keep the water to minimum. Everyone we spoke with at Chem-Dry was super nice. They arrived on time the next morning. They were friendly, organized, and professional. It was a fun, comfortable afternoon with some great guys who truly seemed to care. They stayed for a long time until they got it perfect. Our carpet was dry by next morning, and the stains did not return. Here we were thinking the carpet had to be trashed, but Chem-Dry literally saved it, good as new. It was absolutely worth every dollar.

Would never use this company if my landlord didn't require it…read more I was quoted $129 for three rooms by Atlantic Carpet Care. When technician Ben Skopp arrived, he asked if I had pets and mentioned a flea treatment for $105. It was never explained that this was an ADDITIONAL charge or that my total would suddenly become $289. I did not authorize that amount. After the cleaning, I contacted the company multiple times to dispute the charge and ask for a corrected invoice. Instead of addressing the issue directly, Office Manager Jenn Bartee repeatedly told me to "work it out" with my property manager -- even though I was the customer who scheduled and approved the service. I later learned Ben contacted my landlord directly and made inaccurate comments about there being an "odor" in one of the rooms. Completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I attempted to resolve this calmly and professionally through email and was ignored for days at a time while the company avoided answering the actual billing dispute. If you use this company, get every charge in writing before the appointment starts.
