The initial contractor that was supposed to put in our screened porches and doors completely failed us. They were in the original build bid, but totally neglected and we were left with some scraggly old posts that were twisted and warped. We called Brad Jacobson, and he responded within two days, he showed up at our homes and we went over all of our options, he was very clear in all of the things we could expect and choose. There was a slight delay in materials showing up, but when wasn't there in 2022, but once everything arrived, things got rolling. The screened porches and doors are not only beautiful, they are strong and sturdy, they really work well keeping out all the little bugs as well as enhance the look of our home immensely. Now we can really enjoy our porches no matter what time of year, without any fear of mosquitoes or bees etc. Thank you Brad, I know it's been a couple of months since they were installed but we wanted to give them some time to see if anything would change. There's been no warping or fading of the walls and posts, the screens are beautiful and as tight as day one. We really love the work that was done, and I would recommend this business to everybody

They also replaced three 30" x 84" picture windows in our living room that provides a great view of the screened porch. The week that the workers arrived was one of the hottest of the year with daily temperatures exceeding 105 degrees each day. In spite of the miserable weather conditions, the work was completed on time and the results were exceptional. The screened porch is beautiful and adds so much enjoyment now that cooler weather has arrived. (Our cat gives the room 10 stars.) We are very pleased with East Texas Elite Exteriors. I do not recommend Wes from Stain-Pro concrete. While he was polite and seemed professional and his…read morecrew was very polite and respectful, the job he did was far below expectation. He stained and finished our concrete floors in our BRAND NEW house and the end result was awful. The finish is patchy, not shiny or smooth at all. The concrete is rough in spots and smooth in others. He refused to fix it, instead implying the end result was my fault because I did not communicate what type of finish I wanted. He asked for payment before the job was completely finished, assuring me the finish would come out "when the light hit it." Of course, I trusted him and paid him and then it was all over for me. His crew removed my interior doors to do the floor and when they rehung the doors, five of them wouldn't shut. When I brought this to his attention, he said he wasn't responsible because he "didn't manufacture or install the doors." Funny that they worked fine before his crew messed with them. My general contractor graciously fixed them for me. Wes did offer to put two coats of wax on the floor, but I was under the impression that this floor would not need upkeep. He said he could not put any more finish on the floor, but I called the manufacturer and the manufacturer indicated he likely used the wrong finish and I COULD put an epoxy on the floor if I lightly scuff the existing finish. Wes took NO responsibility for the problem, instead simply repeating over and over again that he did the job exactly as he said he would and that he had NEVER had a problem with any customer. I have seen his work on other floors and it was good, but mine is NOT. After spending 6,000 dollars on this floor, my husband I are going to spend the weekend following the manufacturer's instructions and try to fix it. Wish us luck!

Mr Bass, owner of Cypress custom homes began an addition to my home in June 2025…read more in mid-September his employee, Steven Dudley told Mr Bass I had labeled Mr Bass a crook. Mr Bass's word, not mine. He sent me a termination letter and wrote he would not accept any phone calls, only e-mails. my home is located in The city of Tyler so I had The city Building Inspection inspect my house. the city failed it on 9 different levels prior to requesting a framing inspection. I have for months sent Text/emails to Mr Bass and he has not responded. I have retained an attorney and asked Tyler home Builders to review work and documents. I've been advised by both Mr Bass did not properly terminate the contract. I've requested building materials delivered within the week of termination be picked up for credit, no response. His personel did physical damage to my property, no response. I can not move forward as the old addition and the new addition are 1 3/4" off level on the upstairs. The slab is not level or square and a poor unacceptable repair was made. Many other deficiencies by city found and he won't respond. Thankfully my home is in the city as it's my understanding much of Cypress/Mr Bass's work is in the county and isn't inspected. I recently spoke to Mr Reynolds who experienced what I'm going through. I had a laminate floor installed in 2019 and 6 months later it started tocome apart. A sub…read morecontractor came out to fix it . In 2024 the floor again syarted to come apart. The owner came out and could not figure out why it was coming apart. Several month later a worker came out to fix it took one look at it and told me he would get back to me. Never heard from him again. Went to the store and owner Sean Rose told me it could not be fixed and the flooring had been discontinued. I asked for a copy of the lifetime garruntee the floor came with and was told it was probably 25 pages long and he would get the manufacturers rep to call me. Haven"t heard from him either. Not sure why the floor could not be fixed after it was installed but not 5 years later. Something about it might mess up the whole floor. Buyer beware. Calls are not returned and commitments not kept.
