I hate to have to post this, but business is business. I hope this issue can be resolved quickly so I can take this down. I own a 1975 Corvette and took it to this shop because neither of my doors would open with the key. They assured me the issue was fixed and addressed additional problems causing my battery to drain. After spending several thousand dollars, I was told everything was resolved and given a warranty on the door repairs. Unfortunately, the problem persisted. When I returned, I was shocked to hear there was no warranty. I later had a trusted friend run a diagnostic and found out the root issue was a bad starter and flex plate--issues they failed to diagnose despite charging me $300 for their inspection. In total, I paid $4,500. My doors still don't work properly, and my car had to be towed again. To make matters worse, when I picked up my car, the driver's side door was damaged, and my new custom oxblood carpet and floor mats were ruined by water damage. This happened despite providing them with a custom car cover. I also felt pressured to pay after receiving two different price quotes for the same work, which seemed very shady. I had to get a tow which the last picture is. This experience has been frustrating and disheartening. If you have a car that needs repairs, I strongly recommend taking it to someone you know and trust. Quality service matters, and this has shown me how things can go wrong when money takes precedence over professionalism. PS. Further you didn't take any accountability on my carpet being drenched in water you said that you'll vacuum it ... What in God's name is that going to do slurp up the mildew ?? Stay away from was this auto shop. They run a scam " piece of mind" inspection for cars. Take your money and don't identify key issues. We relied on their "inspection " in purchasing a car. They failed to identify major issues that racked up thousands of dollars of cost for us. The owner was downright nasty when we raised the concern and tried to come up with a fair resolution for his shop's failure to identify the issues. Zero integrity, zero customer service, zero quality. Do yourself a big favor and go someplace else. read more

Wow! I am en route from Baltimore to Indianapolis and had to stop to get an oil change. I was blown away by the kind, professional service and the clean, wonderful amenities- and they did an incredible quick job on the car. Run, don't walk away from this place. You are guaranteed to be hit with unnecessary work from this place. I just moved to Maryland and needed a state inspection prior to completing my registration. I called ahead for the state inspection and they said I'd be able to get in the same day but I would have to drop it off, so I did. At the end of the day they came back with a $1600 quote to do the "needed repairs" to pass inspection. So I asked for a list of fail points, paid the $100 for the failed inspection and took my car. Upon reviewing the quote it became obvious that this place is price gouging its clients. Now to be fair their hourly labor rate is average for this above average area at $100/hr. What was really surprising was the fact that they were trying to charge $645 in parts that after a simple google search I found from multiple reputable dealers starting at $153!! I understand that companies need to make some money but a 400+% mark up is ridiculous. If this was the only issue maybe I would have given the place 3 stars but there's more... What the establishment didn't realize was that I had worked as a mechanic in the Marine Corps and I have a friend with a shop so I took the car to his shop to do the work on the vehicle myself. Not to delve too deeply into the technical the issues, they found suspension issues that caused me to fail along with some light bulbs that were "out" and the emergency break not holding. As soon as I got under the vehicle I could easily see that the fog light they deemed out was simply hanging out of the socket, something anyone could have easily seen had they been looking at the suspension, but they just wanted to add to the ticket. They also quoted $148 in labor to adjust the emergency break. I ask anyone to google what it takes to do that adjustment...a flat head screwdriver is all you need and in many cases (mine included) you can adjust it while sitting in the drivers seat in 30 seconds. Google it and you will see I am not exaggerating. Again if this was the end of the issues I may have given the place 2 stars...but there's more!!! So after I finished all the required repairs I still had to bring it back to Milex to get reinspected. When I brought the car back in they seemed surprised that all the work got done and all they needed to do was the re-inspection. But I also asked them to do an alignment and oil change to give them a little additional business because even after all their shadiness I still wanted to throw them some money for their time. I dropped the car off at 9 am and at 4:30 pm I had still not heard from them. I called and they let me know that my car failed inspection but only because of the Emergency break not holding, but were able to do the alignment and oil change no problem!! That was the last straw!!! I have multiple witnesses who watched us test the E break the previous night with no issues but all of the sudden it wasn't working again!!! BS!! When I confronted the desk guy Steve he asked why I even brought it back to them to do the alignment and oil change, that it was "a slap in the face" to the mechanics in the back that I didn't want to pay the 400% mark up, I couldn't believe that was his response. The truth is they failed the vehicle for something that shouldn't have failed because they were pissed I didn't pay their outrageous prices. 50% of something would have been better than 100% of nothing which is all the business they are ever getting from me again, nothing!! Hopefully this review will help some people avoid getting ripped off by this shady mechanic. read more

The short: I brought my Subaru there for a state inspection. They failed it and said it needed $5,000.00 in repairs. I brought it to Frederick Subaru dealership and they passed it saying no problems were found. The long: I brought my 2006 Subaru Impreza Outback here for a state inspection after moving from NH so I could register my car. I told them my engine coolant appeared empty and asked if they could top it off and change my oil in addition to the inspection. After the inspection I was told a head gasket had blown and was quoted $2,000 to fix that. My inspector said coolant was leaking everywhere. He said I should also change my clutch which would cost $3,000. Keep in my the car is worth $6,000 total on the high end so this sparked concern that a mechanic wanted to do work that was equal to the value of the car. I told him not to do any of the work. I refilled the coolant and drove for a week, a couple trips from Frederick to Baltimore to see if the reservoir was emptying out quickly. I never found any sings of leakage under my car when parked for long periods and the reservoir didn't seem to be depleting. That's when I brought my car to the Frederick Motor Company Subaru Dealership and asked for a quote on fixing a head gasket leak. I was quoted $1,200-$1,400 compared to Milex's $2,000. The dealership cost less than this place! I also told them that Milex suggested replacing my clutch since I was at 98,000 miles, the dealership told me that it should last for 200,000 miles before needing replacement. I asked them to inspect my car and they found nothing at fault with it. This place tries to rip you off. Make sure to go elsewhere. read more

I would describe Albert and his business as the epitome of professionalism, knowledge, capability, integrity, and customer service. This will be that last auto repair shop you will ever want to go to because they are that great! Whether it is foreign or domestic, I believe he can do it all. His customer service is genuine because it's rooted in a firm concern and care for you and your family no matter what vehicle you transport them in. I once bought a vehicle and had him inspect it. He noticed an error in the dealer's inspection concerning with the brake system and told me that it should not have passed. When I confronted the dealer about this they me money back to buy parts and cover labor to correct the error. If you are in Frederick, or within a half an hour of there. Take you car to be serviced by him and his staff. You won;t be dissappointed. In fact, you will find yourserlf adding your own positive review in the near future read more

Was a friend of theirs for years, so we used him for 5 VEHICLES after he left Criswell, simply because we have Hummers and he used to work on them. We have had issues for the last couple of years but gave him the benefit of the doubt when he blamed it on his change of labor help. For the last two years, Quality of work and time dedicated to each job seem to be RUSHED and CHAOTIC. We got our last vehicle back after a transmission replacement, with a part hanging off the vehicle. The time before that, the car was done and the problem not diagnosed properly. The last incident when I pulled into the lot, the mechanics working there were making fun of my vehicle as I drove in laughing they each said, "theres a part hanging off of your car, where'd you get that fixed?" When I stated THERE and that "their boss admitted to doing it" it wasn't so funny. Now he doesn't want me back at the shop? NOT ONLY RUDE, but they charge way too much for work that is not up to par. read more
