We were already living in Mililani (old Mililani) for a few years, but we were just renting. At the time, this was a brand new townhome complex being developed and built by Castle and Cooke Homes. Castle and Cooke Homes is the master developer of this whole area. This one is located on Ukuwai Street, right next to Mililani Mauka District Park and the Park and Ride. This townhome complex was one of top choices for our first home. It was just my husband and I at the time, so it would be the perfect starter home. We did a tour at their model homes with a realtor with Castle and Cooke. Janice was very knowledgeable and answered any questions that we had. As first time home buyers, she really took the time to listen to what our needs were in finding the right home. In fact, the whole experience was a great one for both my husband and I. From our realtor, to the home design specialist, and then to our loan officer was also very pleasant and helpful with questions that we had throughout the process. There was something I really loved about the layout of the home. The home/living area sits on a one-car enclosed garage, so you don't have to deal with upstairs/downstairs neighbors and noise. I really liked that about this place. You still have to deal with sharing walls with your neighbor. There is an open layout as you walk up the stairs to the living area, open kitchen with an island separating the living room and kitchen. I believe that they had 1-3 bedroom options to choose from. At the end of our searching and touring of several homes, we ended up choosing a home from a neighboring town home complex, also being built at the time. Today, although we don't live there, we still get a chance to visit when we spend time with relatives who live there. Really nice place. The only bad thing about this place is that it's right next to the highway (H-2). It's high above on a raised area overlooking the highway, but I'm sure the sounds from vehicles passing by at high speeds can be a bit of a nuisance. So, if you're looking to rent or buy a town home in Mililani Mauka, and don't mind the noise from the highway too much, I'd definitely recommend looking into this place.

I work and study at home, which is impossible to do when you have hours and hours of constant revving of lawn mowers every day. They also use a leaf blower, chasing leaves from one side to the other to collect almost nothing, yet it is just constant loud noise. When I have my baby nephew visiting, he can't get his naps because of the constant noise. Out of desperation, I had to close the windows, which means having to turn the AC on, which doubled our electricity bill. Another thing I find infuriating is their smoking underneath my windows. Having someone smoke around me is disturbing, but I am currently pregnant, which makes it even more unacceptable for me. We asked them to stop smoking underneath our window to which they said they don't smoke. I would love if the association or whoever is in charge would re-consider the frequency of having all these service done.

Hey there neighbor, here is an updated/most recent review on the Pearl Two Condominium!…read more Nicely tucked away from the main road, the Pearl Two Condominium is located at the top of Koauka Loop, right next to the Pearl Regency. This 33-floor condominium features 24/7 security, secured building access with a proximity key, a large pool with an in-pool jacuzzi, sauna, tennis court, cabana, BBQ area, a small child's playground, and ample visitor parking with 15 open stalls that are available to use by your guest; from the hours of 6:00a-2:00a. Upon entering the drive way, there is a 15min parking/loading zone area that will allow tenants to load or unload things from their vehicle, make quick trips to the condo, or move bulky items from 8:00a-4:00p - with prior notice to Resident Manager. The driveway then leads you to a concrete roundabout area, which allows others to be picked up or dropped off to the front entrance of the building. The building offers three elevators, one of which is a freight elevator to help with moving large/bulky items. During the late evenings, security will shut down the middle elevator, allowing tenants to use the freight and other elevator. Interestingly, at least one elevator, at any given time, will come to the ground floor and remain open until ready to be used or operated by a tenant or visitor. That way you're not always waiting for an elevator from the 26th or 33rd floor to come down. The upkeep and maintenance of this 1975 building is astonishing. Management hires a company to do monthly carpet cleaning throughout the building's hallways, which leads to little to almost zero bugs found. You'll find zero rubbish on the property, and the landscape is well maintained. Now for the house rules. Every condo or apartment you reside will always have house rules; some places stricter than others. One house rule that is most famous at Pearl Two, is the 5mph rule while driving in the garage. Separate from the condominium, the 5-floor garage offers an elevator that allows you to get to and from your parking stall. There are cameras in place that will clock your speed, for safety reasons. There is a 5-10mph speed limit. Once you go over 10mph, you will receive a ticket, posted on your front door. On a light note, other than the house rules (which is with any condo or building) they do allow you to reserve and "rent out" the pool area for private parties - up to 20 people. It's a little pricey in my opinion to rent out the pool & spa area, but it's a great way to have a party right at your own home.

Century West This is the place I grew up at…read more.. All units are 2 bedroom 2 bath, full kitchen, living room, and lanai... There are 23 floors in the building, tho only 22 if you minus the thirteenth... Each floor has its own laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers with a sink.. There also is a trash shoot at the end of the hall for trash, but bulky items gotta be broken up and dumped in the trash bin downstairs... There are 4 elevators to ride to each floor and is equipped with camera and emergency call box.. the new feature to the elevators is the new automated response engineering that puts the elevators in smart mode when not in use so the the wait time for the elevator is cut down in half... There are parking stalls for each unit.. some are covered some are not... Downstairs there are picnic tables with available gas grill to use (deposit needed)...The pool is very large starting at 3 feet to 8 feet deep with newly renovated tile for the pool... There is also a kiddy pool and beach chairs, tables with umbrellas etc.. Bathrooms and showers at the pool are separated etc.. On the side of the building there is a small jungle gym for kids ages 5 and up (newly installed).. Also what's interesting is that there is a small designated dog/ pet park.. Tho the newest and beneficial addition to Century West is the photovoltaic solar panels just installed over the parking garage ! so now the top floor parkings have cover and new led night lights to add ! Many cosmetic changes and features over the last 3 decades ! My only negative feedback is the maintenance bill, tho many workers are employed to keep this place looking great and with 24 hr security, how could I complain about that... Here are some things I like: * 5 minute walk to my office * 10 minute walk to Safeway grocery store * Spectacular view of Aloha Tower area which you can walk to in under 10 minutes * Housecleaning every week * Safe - Parking attendants 24/7 and key fob required to enter building * Facilities management available through my company with quick response time * When returning from grocery shopping, shopping carts are available in the parking garage to transfer groceries up to apartment (which is great since I'm on the 17th floor). * Pool onsite * Packages delivered to your door * Downtown rather deserted on weekends which makes it nice to walk around * Small lanai to sit and enjoy my coffee...or wine...depending upon the time of day :-) Some downsides...but they are minor and don't detract from the rating: * Resident parking starts on the 6th or 7th floor so you have to listen to your tires squeal as you climb. * Long wait for elevators in the morning (to be expected in a building with 26 floors) * Wired internet connection instead of wireless...but this was remedied by borrowing a co-worker's ethernet cable. It could be because it's an awesome building (hrmmm, maybe...) or because I had HOURS of training here. Anyway, this building seems like the outside has been forever under renovation but since I don't live here, I don't mind too much. The parking lot always has stalls opened for visitors and the parking attendants are really friend. There's even a 10-15 minute grace period if you realize you parked in the wrong building. I appreciate that ESPECIALLY in downtown where parking can run you $5/15 minutes or something ridiculous like that. The building itself seems secure. There are two separate elevators - commercial and residential. There are plenty of security guards roaming around and maintenance people upkeeping the garden and foliage. I don't know how relaxing it can be living in downtown when you're probably working only 5 minutes away. I can't imagine living in the hustle and bustle of downtown but if that's what you want with no worrying about parking, then I guess all the more power to you! The views are quite nice for downtown too since the building is close to the water. Maybe if I have to live anywhere in downtown, I would probably choose to live here. The residential elevators look quite snazzy!

Worst experience ever!!! I used to own a unit at Pearl Regency. One day while I was renting out the…read moreunit the sewer line flooded and destroyed my unit. The flooring was all damaged and I basically had to gut the whole unit and have it restored. Come to find out it was the buildings sewer line that got backed up and flooded my unit. Thinking since it was the buildings line that ruined my unit the association would pay for the damages. Boy was I wrong, After about 2 years of fighting and going back and forth with the AOAO and Rick, I had to fork over $41,000 because the association refused to pay for damages. It makes no fricken sense to me why I'm at fault and had to pay that amount, it was the fricken building line that messed up my unit. Lesson learned, don't do business with this building, the shitty association and Rick!!!

The staff , Jim,John, Westly just to name a few were so accommodating and kind and exuded that Aloha spirit we all have falling in love with here on the islands. The PR is very connected to their tenants and always have many social community events for everyone who lives here. I was very impressed with how clean and well manicured PR is. I couldn't get over how nice everyone have been and I will always cherish my stay at the PR. It's bittersweet having to leave my little special place on the islands and will miss everyone here who have made my stay unbelievable I would recommend the PR because it is truly a beautiful and wonderful place to live for, families, pets, etc. It's truly amazing S.Hoskins

Do not rent from this community or buy a condo here. They are always shutting off the water to do…read morerepair work. This place was build in 1989 so the pipes aren't that old. I've lived here for 9 years this month and I can't count how many times they have done this. They do post in advance about the shut off but as a stay at home parent that works from home this becomes an inconvenience. 10am -4pm is usually how long they do this for. Sometimes it's for 4 consecutive days. Laundry, dishes, and just plain old hygiene goes out the window when this occurs.
