I recently chose to cut my hair and found a style that I loved. I went to Milili and I have Kierra as my stylist. Even though I know who she is she had never done my hair and boy did she Slay!!!! I loved the professionalism of the Salon itself, it holds a variety of educated Women who all have a past to tell and lesson to be learned. The shop is very clean, smells good a very positive atmosphere. Plus I loved you don't see the ladies smacking gum, gossiping, being what many think of an African American hair salon. They have hot tea, calming music and just an awesome overall atmosphere. I will be there for the long haul. read more

The previous reviewer is 100% correct, I just don't understand why she didn't give this salon a five star rating. I have visited the salon twice so far, first in August and again in October, and both times I was truly impressed with the service. Everyone is friendly, professional, and to top it off...hilarious. The salon is nicely decorated, clean, and comfy. I get services from Shanita, and she has WOWED me every time. She's very personable, charges reasonably, knows how to cut, style, and color, but most importantly she takes care of your hair. I highly recommend this salon! read more

A terrible place to get your hair done. I am licensed and just moved to the area, I found this salon based on this site. That was a bad idea. Rhonda was rude when I came in, maybe that's just her personality but being an owner you have to have tact, which she doesn't have. The assistant, which I think her name was Mae. She was very sweet, I asked her if she does hair at the salon here since I seen her do braids when I walked in and told me yes, but she isn't licensed. That's a big red flag. I got my color and was satisfied and paid. I went home and the next day when I was separating my hair for two big braids I noticed splotchy pieces and hair that haven't been covered. I called and told rhonda about fixing it. She refused and I suggested I get my money back, she told me I should have said something before I left. Well apparently I would think a licensed professional would do their job properly. So I contacted my bank to see what I can do about it. I will need to wait to see what they can do. Something felt fishy so I decided to look Rhonda's name up for her license and turns out her license has been suspended since 2017! She's been doing hair illegally since last year! I am so upset that I wasted my time and money going to someone like this! People beware of this location! read more

Someone questioned why I didn't give them 5 stars on my initial review. The answer to that is simple. This is my review/opinion. Now that we have that out of the way.... I haven't been here in a while. Things I liked at first seemed to no longer exist. 1) Scheduling an appointment became difficult. There were times I was called and asked the day of or day before to reschedule my confirmed appointment to accommodate another client. 2) Wait time increased to 20 minutes or more. I would arrive on time for my appointment and someone was just getting in the chair to get their hair blow dried. 3) There were too many changes in my hair. I started shedding a lot. The hairstyles weren't lasting. And the products left a flaky residue. 4) I was quoted one price and charged more. Unfortunately I could not argue it because I didn't have it in writing. Came in for a consultation which was impressive. I called the next day at 10:47 am to make an appointment. The stylist I was requesting was not there so I left a message with the person answering the phone for the stylist to call me back. Since by the next day at 4:00 pm I had not heard back, I decided to call again, assuming innocence that maybe the message had not been passed on. The stylist came to the phone and to my surprise, she said she got the message but was too busy to call me back. Could not believe this was the response from someone that is supposedly in business to make money. When I said I was disappointed in the way this was handled and that I was going elsewhere, the stylist just said ok. No apology or any efforts to retain me as a client were extended. Such a shame because the stylist seemed to know how to do hair but business acumen and customer-focused competencies are severely lacking. I sure won't be back because there are many other places I can go and get quality service and respect. SMH! read more

First and last time coming here! First things first, The salon owner who I think is Rhonda is very rude to her assistants. I'm a retired cosmetologist who has assistants in the past and was just astounded by the way she treats her employee. Secondly,I wanted Highlights and a root touch up. She did not give me what I wanted, my grey was still showing and my highlights look like zebra stripes. I was so embarrassed as a cosmetologist that she couldn't even preform a simple root touch up and highlights.i only have 10% gray in the front of my hairline so I wasn't asking her for much. She dropped the comb multiple times and told her assistants to just wash it and get a new one. That's unsanitary because after washing it you're supposed to place it in cleaning solution for 10 mins before using it again which is against state board. I was ready to go because my hair looked a mess. I tipped the assistant and payed for my service and left. Do not go to this place because it breaks several health code violations and the owner who's been doing hair for many years can't perform a simple service but want to charge high end prices. read more
