Highest of the high quality ice cream! It's smooth. It's seductive. It's Michigan grown and loved. I wanted Vanilla but was happily surprised with the Honeycomb. Alexis was awesome and insightful on when they would get vanilla bean back. Also want to note that Alexis was very attentive and personable to all customers! Summer vibes through and through!
I was visiting Detroit and just yelp's ice cream and this popped up. It was great, people working were so kind and I tasted so many flavors. Thought I was going to get to stop in one more time before I left but ran out of time, next visit for sure

Stumbled upon this ice cream shop walking around downtown Detroit. It isn't on the main strip or anything and the building is small but there was a quite a line when we were there Saturday night so figured that must be a good sign. They have unique flavors made from scratch in small batches and I think their menu rotates a bit. They have multiple non dairy options too. They were making fresh waffle cones when we were there and the whole place smelled delicious! The two girls working were friendly and let everyone sample some flavors. I ended up choosing a split scoop (slight upcharge) of 3 peanut and malt cherry chocolate and both were incredible! So creamy and delicious. The 3 peanut was peanut butter ice cream, peanut butter sauce, and peanut brittle...so so good. My friend got the earl grey flavor and that was unique and refreshing! It's a bit pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. So good. Thank you, Milk & Froth!
Amazing ice cream every single time I go! I particularly love the Asian flavors, especially black sesame. Friendly staff who will give recommendations and generous samples. I take my friends all the time!
We are back for the summer season and they had a new flavor peppermint patty and milk chocolate they were some great new vegan additions loved their great customer service too
It smells so good in here, firstly. Secondly, you can try the ice creams, and thirdly, they're all delicious. I chose the salted butter cake one and dang, it's good. The chewy caramel-y bites inside are like little nuggets of heaven. The waffle cones are fresh and perfect. A great place to stop and have ice cream or grab a pint. Our server was pleasant and friendly. The ice cream is a bit light, like it's fluffy rather than densely packed, so it eats quickly. I'd get a bowl for the kiddos so that it maybe wouldn't run all over the place and stick the cone on top.
Awesome ice cream shoppe where there is always pretty much a line but if you go when it is raining almost no one is there. They have amazing flavors like honeycomb which was delicious. Also interior ambiance has plenty of tables and chairs but I imagine most people just order to go. Across the street is the Caucus Club and some nice Detroit architecture.

This was a great place to get some ice cream. The service was very friendly and warm. They were happy to let us try some of their more unusual flavors before making our final selection. It was a good single sized scoop of ice cream. The bowl and utensils were all made of environmentally-concious materiale. It's a nice touch. The layout of the shop though is a little strange. We decided to eat our ice cream right there, and while there are some places to sit, the shelves to put your iceam/stuff on is really awkwardly shallow. Plus, it started to get busy while we were eating, and then things got a smidge chaotic. Where's the line? Where do you sit without being awkwardly close to someone waiting in line? Pop in. Grab some ice cream. Duck out. Solid trip.
This ice cream was great! The inside was a bit unfinished, but the staff were very nice and helpful. I think this was a great place to end a date night or if you're in need of a snack in the afternoon. The ice cream is super creamy, and I really enjoyed how classic the flavors were

The sea salt butter cake and black sesame flavors are definitely the favorite but we also enjoyed the flavors we got as well (maize and blue, raspberry stracciatella, and butter pecan). You can't go wrong with any of the flavors and they have small pints to take to go if you want. It's a cute little spot with nice decorations to take a picture with your ice cream.
Stopped at Milk & Froth's ice cream truck last night during Dally in the Ally and it was amazing! We got the Chocolate Hazelnut and Honeycomb ice cream. The chocolate hazelnut lacked a bit of flavor, but the honeycomb was filled with such good flavor and chunks of honey and honeycombs. Will definitely stop into their storefront before summer is over to try some of their different flavors!

Milk & Froth is definitely a must-try! I tried the dairy-free chocolate, vanilla bean, 3-peanut, sea salt butter cake, and honeycomb flavors, and everything was delicious and incredibly creamy. The sea salt butter cake and 3-peanut were the standouts for me--so good! The freshly made waffle cone was flavorful and the perfect finishing touch. The woman working was also so pleasant and helpful. Even with a long line, she worked hard, moved through everyone efficiently, and kept a smile on her face. Great ice cream, fresh cones, and wonderful service. I'll definitely be back! read more

The staff was friendly, the vibe was modern and energetic. But most importantly, this is some of the best damn ice cream we've had! We tasted the Honeycomb and the Sea Salt Butter Cake. They went wonderfully together! Definitely stop here for some ice cream. read more

I really liked it but not dying to have it again, hence the 4 stars. I found the texture to a be a bit whippier than I usually prefer, but not too bad, and the flavors were both a little too sweet and a little too similar for me (I sampled many). Cute branding though, and would definitely recommend trying if you're in Detroit! Might just be a personal preference thing. read more
Best ice cream in Detroit! The quality of the ice cream is outstanding. It is so fresh and creamy. You must try the fresh homemade waffle cones. The flavors they offer are unique. When 2 foodie friends urged me to go to this ice cream shop, I knew a visit was in order. After a busy day in the office, I stopped by for a quick treat, despite the fact that I had ice cream the day before. Milk and Froth serves classic and vegan artisanal ice creams in a spare-looking location. On the day of my visit, a few flavors were available, including honeycomb, honey lavender, salted caramel, and chocolate. I sampled a few flavors before settling on two scoops served in a crunchy waffle cone. I felt like a kid as I gobbled my ice cream, a big ice cream ring outlining my lips as I enjoyed the comfortable summer weather on the way to parking. The Honeycomb flavor was divine, tasting of burnt sugar flavors. I also had the Malt Cherry Chocolate which had roasted Michigan cherries and ribbons of chocolate. No wonder my friends recommend this place; the flavors were fantastic, as was the service. Note pints are also available from the fridge. read more
Hand's down my favorite ice cream in the city (STILL). Actually this is my favorite ice cream in general. All the flavors are so unique and handcrafted and entirely made homemade in small batches. My two favorite flavors are the matcha pistachio and malt chocolate cherry. If you don't go into the location for a scoop, you can buy pints at local grocery stores and markets. read more

A cute little ice cream shop in downtown Detroit ! It's a tiny place so not the best for larger groups but it's in the middle of a ton of walkable places! Service here was super friendly and very efficient. The ice cream has such a different texture compared to store bought/other shops but we loved it ! The flavors weren't overwhelmingly sweet and you can tell it's made with fresh ingredients. Best part is that you're able to buy pints of their flavors as well. Can't wait to come back and try their other flavors ! read more

Maybe I'm partial because this place is cute inside, or maybe I'm biased because I had been dying to try this place for so long- either way, it did not disappoint. This is a small little gem of a place hiding in Detroit. They have about 10 or so flavors that are all made from scratch in small batches, even with vegan options. They let you sample before you commit and my husband and I both tried and loved our first sample. I got the sea salt butter cake (what's not to love when butter is in the name?) and he got the peppermint patty (that is vegan and he still doesn't know this- shhhh.) Waffle cones were fresh and delicious. Place is cute, and I can't wait to come back with my kids. read more

Had two scoops with Thai tea and lemon and mint. The Thai tea was spot on and their ice cream is overly delicious without being too sweet. It's a great ice cream spot, especially if you're downtown. read more
I'm annoyed at myself for waiting so long to try this place! It was super good. I enjoyed every flavor I tried, which were several different flavors. We had the honeycomb, which is closest to vanilla for all you plain lovers out there, of which my daughter is one. And then a beautifully scented honey lavender, a cherry and chocolate chip in a vanilla base that was fantastic, a sea salt butter cake that was outstanding, and a very punchy coffee and cream non-dairy ice cream, that you would never know was non-dairy. I can't wait to go back. My only slight critique is I wish they simply had even more delicious flavors. read more
If you're looking for a new ice cream spot in Detroit, you've come to the right place! Milk and Froth is a locally owned, Detroit business that makes its own classic dairy and vegan ice creams. The flavors are often inventive, taking the classics and elevating them a level or two. I tried the sea salt butter cake with a homemade waffle cone and absolutely loved it. The store front was clean with several tables for seating. Location is downtown so be mindful if you're looking for parking. Would happily visit here again on a hot summer day. read more

Located in downtown Detroit, this is a nice lil ice cream spot with dairy and non dairy options! I had the milk chocolate (non dairy) with a waffle cone and it was good. Not the best chocolate ice cream I've ever had but it was still delicious. If I wasn't looking for non dairy options, I would have gone with the Malt Cherry Chocolate, now THAT was to die for gooood. Loved the mix of cherries and chocolate shavings, a must try. Servers were super nice and allowed me to try as many flavors as I wanted. 15-min free street parking is available, and other pay to park lots are nearby. read more
Michigan summer is BRUTAL & I thank my lucky stars that Milk & Froth exists! I'm especially glad that Milk & Froth has a downtown location AND a roaming food truck! It was parked in Shed 5 of Eastern Market today & I finally got to try it & it was the perfect pick me up on this sweltering 90+ degree day today! It is perfectly creamy & packed full of flavor, without being too sweet & burning the throat. It was so refreshing to eat a scoop of the orange creamsicle & I also tried my friend's honeycomb, which also tasted divine! The workers on the food truck are so friendly & I am also so intrigued by their black waffle cones! Perhaps on a day that isn't quite as hot, I'll brave the meltiness of ice cream and opt for trying that cone. :) Can't wait to try the other flavors on the menu! I love that they have slightly more unconventional flavors & have an even mix of vegan & non-vegan flavors as well! read more

The vegan ice cream here is really good! The roasted strawberry reminded me a lot of Salt & Straw. They also have plenty of people working so you never have to wait long. There's some seating inside but you're within walking distance from Spirit Plaza, Hart Plaza and Campus Martius. read more
