Located on the second floor of the Detroit Shipping company! Needed a late night pick me up and found this coffee shop :) Ordered an espresso shot for my bf and I enjoyed an iced mocha with oat milk! The lady behind the counter was tidying up the place when I walked up and didn't see me right away but once she did was extremely kind and sweet and helpful about ordering and got my drinks done very speedy quick. Really enjoyed the richness of the mocha and this iced coffee went down like water, I chugged it because it tasted so good. Will definitely return here if I'm ever in the area again!:)

Three flavors today for their nitro ice cream. Mint chocolate chip, strawberry basil and double stuffed chocolate Oreo. I was torn between the mint and the double chocolate Oreo. I picked the mint, since that's my usual preferred ice cream. We got the mint chocolate chip tastes like there's ground up fresh mint leaves ground up into the ice cream. It's not as you would expect it at all. I couldn't get myself to eat more than the small bite, it didn't sit well with me. We ended up getting the double stuffed chocolate Oreo instead. It was worlds better and so yummy. Lovely chocolateness. My other beef is their super cheap and flimsy spoon, what's up with giving out these malleable and pliable spoons. It's impossible to get any of the ice cream out. The spoon bends much too easily. Not to mention that the spoon doesn't even reach the bottom of the large coffee paper cup the ice cream is in even. We gave up and asked for a spoon at the NYC halal place. It worked so much better and the plastic doesn't bend either. It's much more enjoyable when you can spoon out more than a tiny bit of it at a time. It's a good ice overall cream, just needs a better medium to pick it up is all.

Nice chai latte, and the ice cream being made right in a mixer as you wait was very cool

Tried this great little liquid nitrogen creamy tonight. It's a little pricey, $7.00 for Large, but at least it is actually large. Lol I ha the strawberry basil and my husband had the double stuffed chocolate Oreo. Both delicious and super creamy and great flavor!

Best. Ice. Cream. In. Detroit. The only thing I'm sad about is that this isn't closer to my house! Delicious! You won't be disappointed.

This a cute little ice cream spot located inside Detroit shipping company on the second floor. I came here right smack in the middle of last winter. My friend and I decided what better way to celebrate the harsh Detroit winter than with a couple of frozen ice cream. We had two flavors in mind that we wanted to try so we got them both: avocado pistachio and hazelnut cocoa crisps. I loved them both because they were both ultra smooth with added textures of pistachio and cocoa crisp crunch in the two ice creams. I went back a couple of months later to try hazelnut cocoa crisp. I learned that they discontinued making both avocado pistachio as well as the hazelnut cocoa crisp because those two flavors that are difficult to make. So, I leave you with my next pick of flavor: strawberry basil ice cream. But honestly, hazelnut cocoa crisp is pretty unbeatable.

O.M.G. I've never had this type of ice cream and dare I say it's better than some of the gelato I've had?! Ordered the cold brew coffee flavor and I'm so sad this place doesn't have other locations (like Chicago please!).

After hearing about it for a while, I was excited to finally try nitrogen ice cream. Being in one of Detroit's newest food halls (Detroit Shipping Company), this seemed like the perfect place to try. I was most impressed by how creamy it was - this was definitely the highlight! I liked the chocolate flavor in the double stuffed Oreo. However, I was disappointed by the lack of Oreo flavor or chunks. While I appreciated the freshness of the mint chip, it was actually a bit too fresh for my taste, taking away from the indulgence of the ice cream. It was also a bummer that you're not able to try the flavors (as each serving is made fresh). Overall, it was a fun experience, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back.

Not a big ice cream eater, but damn this was great. It was my wife's birthday and she loves ice cream. Do we stopped in at the Detroit shipping building. What a great concept a food court in a shipping container. There is a few different food options but we came for ice cream. I had the strawberry basil and it knocked my socks off. This ice cream was very creamy with small chunks of strawberry and basil blended in. Then they put nitro to freeze the ice cream. The young lady behind the counter was awesome. She explained the process and was super friendly. (Just a note there is $10 parking fee for the Shipping co. lot. )

Who cares it's in the negatives outside. Ice cream all day every day

There are so many reasons to love this place. First, it is packed away on the second floor inside the Detroit Shipping Company (pun intended). Second, the ice cream flavors are quite unique. Third, the service is great and they make the ice cream right in front of you after you order. Apparently they use liquid nitrogen to make the ice cream. I didn't realize this and missed the whole show. But that definitely explains why the ice cream is so creamy. I had a hard time deciding between the avocado pistachio and the hazelnut cocoa crisp. So, I recruited my friend Sampa to get one of these two so we could try both. The hazelnut cocoa crisp was sweeter and the crisps added a crunchy texture. The hazelnut was very rich in the best way possible. As for the avocado pistachio, you could taste both the avocado and pistachio perfectly. They created an unexpected balance, though I liked the avocado flavor so much that I would definitely go for just a solo avocado flavor as well. Although I wasn't able to try their coffee this time, I definitely will be coming back for that and to try some of the other flavors!

Coffee & Hot Chocolate [5/5] The aesthetically pleasing coffee shop on the 2nd floor of shipyard is a hidden gem. I've been getting the -320 House Blend on my daily commute and love the deep yet well-balanced flavor. Any adventurous soul out there get a Dark Hot Chocolate (Hot chocolate with Dark chocolate chips). I wanted a sweet treat and the barista passionately created this delicious drink for me! (stir well for the chocolate to mix and thank me later) Service [5/5] From the initial greeting to order completion, I felt very welcomed. All the baristas there are social and spend time with every order! Location [5/5] This place is well designed and new! The shipyard is a cool hang out place with bars and food places. There are always things going on there.

Had mint chocolate chip and they make it with nitrogen and it's probably one of the creamiest ice creams I have ever had. Wow! Good mint flavor. Not over powering either. (they've only been open 3 months) This place is cool though. They have places to eat inside, coffee, bar, ice cream etc and they have places all around to sit. Private, out in open. It's all shipping containers stacked in shape of a square and inside is all the seating and the businesses take up most of the containers. There is local artwork all over, games, etc. it's just a cool place. **** The only downfall and I'm not sure if the shipping company that houses all these businesses inside provides, but it's $10 to park. It would be nice to at least have the lot plowed and salted for the $10. Get rid of the paid parking.

I need not have worried; there was parking closer by. Oh well. The restaurant is tiny. And it maximizes the space by lining its walls with colorful bottles of wine, chic and cher containers of olive oil, and pots of artisanal honey hiding here and there. My friend pointed out the breathtakingly beautiful bouquet of dried flowers hanging over our table. I should have taken a photo when I had the chance. I started with the spiced brown sugar latte, made with oat milk. Delicious and sweeter than I thought. Even though the menu is small and curated, I could not decide between the nosh plate, the biscuit brekkie, or the quiche, which was the special of the day. So I ended up with the quiche but added the biscuit and bacon - I did not want to miss out. The crust of the quiche was fine, but the custard-like filling was divine, more like a savory crème brûlée or flan. Service was quick and efficient. Our reservation was made for one of the predefined 90-minute blocks, so the staff was on top of getting and delivering our meals and bussing tables as soon as they emptied to make room for the next group of guests.

I normally do not like breakfast burritos since I find them really dry, but the eggs were moist and tender and ditto for the tortilla. I had the sausage, and it was diced and mixed in with the other ingredients, but it was more of a processed sausage (maybe chicken?) with a bouncy texture. Western Potatoes: This dish has diced red skin potatoes with thinly shredded cooked red onions and bell peppers. It has a coating of spice on it which made the ketchup unnecessary as it was already so flavorful. The inside was fluffy, but the outside had no crisp and was slightly oily. I know part of it was due to the fact that it was delivered, but I wasn't a fan still.  Veg Life Quiche: This was a good quiche. The egg were tender with the addition of buttermilk, and it was teeming with spinach, tomato, onion and topped with cheddar cheese. The crust was a standard crust.  This is a solid option for catering if you want to have a more unique place than the standard chain restaurants. I liked how everything was almost all pre portioned out too.
