The process is fun to watch them roll it and incorporate all the add-ins! The overall flavor is what you would expect from any same flavored ice cream so you're really paying a little extra for the experience. First time trying out this place and it was interesting. Ive never had the rolled ice cream before but it was super good. I got the Nutwit house creation one. Yummy! My son tried the YOLO creation and really liked it. My husband got a chocolate shake but it was prob one of the worst ones I've ever tried sadly. Took the kiddos here for a special treat. They had kid to larger sizes and prices vary depending on toppings. They are conservative with the toppings and only added ONE lychee to the kid serving. It's fun to watch the custom flavor get created. There is plenty of parking and the shop has a few tables and chairs inside. The associates do put a lot of work into the milkroll. There was only one associate there and she seemed exhausted. 6/21/25-The ice cream was super bland. Ordered ube and it was purple, but no ube flavor. Then we ordered a Tai tea. Was charged 75 cents extra for the boba, but we got a drink with no boba. The workers were too busy to fix the issue since there were only 2 workers and they were busy. They were also working on orders out of order. They made several people's ice cream before they made our drink that came in after us instead of working on a full order before they started the next one. I think it was this that caused them to leave out the boba that they hard charged us for, because they were doing things out of order. It was our first time at this ice cream spot we were thrilled to try it out after dinner. I'll begin with the positives. First impression: clean location / menu with lots of options. Upon entering the store you have to remember to wear your mask! If not, they might have some which was helpful. :) The ice cream options are fun and there has to be something for everyone. We tried 2 things on the menu (Bananas About You and the Sundae Fundae?) super delicious. Down side: customer service was not great. Upon entering and mentioning it was our first time there, the girl at the cashier taking our order looked annoyed at the fact that we asked her what she recommended. All in all not very friendly. In addition to that, the Sundae Fundae comes with banana as a topping and I noticed them using extremely black, ripe and mushy bananas which I don't mind in a smoothie but not as a topping on my ice cream. I asked to have a more firm banana as a topping to the person finishing my order but was sort of ignored until I finally caught the attention of another employee. I'll give them another try. . . I will start with the good. The ice cream was good and tasty. The price pretty much the same as most other specialty dessert places. And an employee called Ella. She was so friendly and kind and actually made what was becoming a bad visit because of her fellow co-workers, bearable. I have been there twice. First time, arrived and was told they were no longer serving. It was not 9:30pm yet. Second time went before 9, basically after dinner. We were a party of 5. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. We sat down at a table to eat and took a few chairs that happened to be stacked so we could sit together. After taking two chairs, one of the employees basically said " stop unstacking the chairs." This same person was rude the first time we were there and now again. None of us could believe how we were spoken to. And while we were there, they turned away at least 10 people before closing time, and all were quite disappointed. If it wasn't for the employee experience I would have given this place 4 or 5 stars for product. Most likely l won't be returning and neither will the other people in my party. read more

Love this incredible women owned small business! I am a suck for milkroll and recommend this rolled ice creamery to everyone. It's in the Havana Exchange Shopping Center at the corner of Havana and Yale behind the Kum & Go and near HMart on Parker Road. I often take out of town guests here and friends for a Awet treat. All the specialty regular sized items are under $10 and there is a mini size available. Many enjoy watching their selections be created and I love the fun names of each type of ice cream. I personally love the bananas about you, YOLO, and I love you berry much. I have tried many of their seasonal flavors too and so love when it's Girl Scout cookie season. Definitely visit their OHS or Denver locations. Rain or shine it's a perfect sweet treat to brighten your day. Now rolling in Aurora. After trying Milkroll down on Colfax, I had been waiting for a closer location. After a little bit of a delay, Milkroll Aurora is finally open! Milkroll is a Thai rolled ice cream shop that offers various ice cream bases including basics like chocolate, original, matcha, and fun flavors like thai tea, vietnamese coffee, pandan, and charcoal. The base flavor is mixed with a mix-in such as fruit or cookies and topped with candy, cereal, cookies, fruit, whipped cream, mochi, or other fun toppings. There are plenty of awesome house creations, but if you're feeling creative you can make your own.The consistency of the thai rolled ice cream is creamy and smooth, and there's a lot of options for customization if you're making your own. They offer three different sizes: a mini, basic, and a large. The mini is really nice if you're feeling like ice cream, but don't want too much. Milkroll also offers a few drinks including Thai tea and Green Thai tea. I had the panda pandan creation at the new location which is pandan ice cream with coconut jelly and coconut mixed in. Toppings include koala cookies, coconut jelly, coconut, mochi, and a pandan waffle. Normally, there is a condensed milk drizzle that goes on top, but I think they may have forgotten it this time because I requested no whipped cream. Such a fun little place. You can custom make your Milkroll, or what we did was select one of their many creations they have already created. I think that is the best option for first timers. We all sampled each other's, that way we could tell for next time what we liked. It was fun to watch them prepare the rolls. My boys liked all the toppings. It's pricey, but worth the experience. Recently, I've noticed that rolled ice cream is becoming quite a popular phenomenon in Denver! And one of the nicest places to try it, in my opinion, is also the newest - the Aurora branch of MilkRoll Creamery, to be more precise. "OK, so I can picture it in my mind, kinda, but fill me in a little bit more - what exactly *is* rolled ice cream?", I hear you wonder. Good question! This toothsome treat originated in Thailand and, over there, is known as I-Tim Pad... which literally translates to "stir-fried ice-cream". "But if they do that to it, doesn't it just make a mess all over the place?". Not at all - here's the scoop. (See what I did there?). To make rolled ice cream, the ingredients of one's choice are chopped, pressed and mixed together, then the ice-cream base is poured in. This all occurs on a very, very chilled surface (often a metal pan). So, it's kind of "cold-fried" if you will - are you getting the picture? Before things can thaw out too much, everything is mixed again and flattened out, then quickly rolled up and placed into a cup - along with a variety of possible toppings. It sounds complicated, but once it's made right in front of you a few times, things will become clearer. "Interesting. So what all can I expect to try at MilkRoll?". I was ready for that exact question. Two of my favorite dessert offerings here in fact have their origins in Southeast Asia. In the first, a base made from the very fragrant Pandan (screwpine) leaf is mixed with coconut - in both chopped and jellied form. (The ice cream itself is loosely based on a Filipino dessert called Buko Pandan, as it turns out). Not to be outdone, the Ca Phe Sua Da (again, sorry for not putting the accents in but the site likes to eat some of them) starts off with a rich base flavored with the titular (and strong!) Vietnamese coffee. These both happen to be topped with cute little stuffed koala cookies, chewy rice-cake morsels, and waffle bits. But if neither of these is really what you seek, maybe something with Oreos, matcha, pineapple, cereal, or charcoal (yup!) is more appealing. Or why not go wild, and find the base/mix-in/topping combination that ticks all your boxes? read more
