First off I would say that the creamery has amazing service. There were several staff members waiting to take our order and we're very friendly. The vibe inside is really cute as it looks like Bonnie Brae ice cream has been around for a really long time. We had several flavors of ice cream and they all were really good. Another awesome ice cream spot in Denver. Bonnie Brae Ice Cream might officially have one of my favorite ice cream flavors I've ever had: the Oatmeal Raisin. They don't just make the ice cream taste like oatmeal raisin cookies; there are huge chunks of actual oatmeal raisin cookies mixed throughout, which made it even better. If you're an oatmeal raisin cookie fan like I am, this flavor is an absolute must-try!! I also tried the Salted Oreo. I normally love a salty-and-sweet combo, but this one leaned a little too salty for my personal taste. Still good, just not quite as much of a standout for me as the oatmeal raisin. It has that classic neighborhood feel where there is usually a line outside, but it is always worth the wait. The Order: Salted Oreo & Price The Salted Oreo is my go-to because it has the perfect sweet and salty balance I love. If I'm not getting that, I'm getting the Lemon Custard. Both are incredible. For a double scoop in a cup, it cost about $8-$9. While they have great vegan and dairy-free options, the Salted Oreo I get is their traditional dairy version. Homemade: One of the reasons it tastes so good is that they make their own ice cream and cones right on-site! You can really taste the difference in the freshness of the scoops and the crunch of the waffle cones. Customer Service: Even when it's packed inside with people ready to order, the staff is very quick and efficient. The customer service is great, which is impressive considering how busy they usually are. Parking: A huge plus for this location is the free street parking, making it an easy and accessible stop compared to other busy areas. Overall Experience: I managed to time my last visit earlier in the day to beat the line, but even when it's busy, the quality is top-tier. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Stopped by this charming, vintage-style ice cream spot with my boyfriend after my birthday dinner, and wow--such a sweet way to end the night. We originally wanted to check it out because the line was literally wrapped around the place (always a good sign), but it moved surprisingly fast. We were definitely overdressed coming from a fine dining dinner, but the server was so kind--he complimented us, asked what we were celebrating, and when I told him it was my birthday, he made it extra special by not charging me for my ice cream and giving us a military discount. Totally unexpected and genuinely appreciated. Now... the ice cream. SO good. We both absolutely devoured ours--rich, creamy, classic perfection. I got a two-scoop waffle cone with lemon custard and (I think) Bordeaux cherry, and I haven't stopped thinking about that lemon custard since. This place is a core childhood memory of mine and my parents use to take me there when we first moved here from Japan. I always would get the same thing, Oreos and cream. Every time I walked by this place it always has that pleasant vanilla, caramel like scent and I think they also make their waffle cones fresh. A hot weekday night prompted some adventure, and it checked every box, a great experience! Luckily, it was early evening, so the usual line had yet to form, and the service staff was full of warmth and assistance.
