Fine coffee and food. Those, combined with fast service and pleasant atmosphere make for a refreshing stop.

Colebrook Tavern has delicious food. I've had the Cuban and the Shepard's Pie. This place truly is…read morea great value for money and has a very cozy atmosphere, since it was remodeled in 2023. The bar has these cute little purse hooks on it. It is not uncommon for there to be live music on the weekends on the deck and cornhole in the outdoor area. We have not gone wrong with any of the appetizers. The French dip is a hit. The tavern sandwiches seem to go over well with our patrons. We like the hand cut fires, sweet potato fries, mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts as sides. Our diners do not recommend the smash burgers. But these diners usually like rarer meats. We have yet to try the pear and beat salad but plan on it in the future. The expanded place has a warm bar feel and can accommodate larger parties. The patio is nice in the Summer and the creek makes a peaceful setting. You can catch sports on the larger TVs while dining inside. And the bar is typically full when we have been there.

Our fav order on this visit was the French dip with sweet potato fires. The hand cut fires were also a hit.

I finally stopped into Dave's Hot Chicken in Lebanon. It's not usually the type of food I'm…read morecraving, but I was out running errands and it was convenient, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the two tender and fry meal and also the three mozzarella stick meal (their mozzarella sticks are the thicker rectangular style, not the skinny round ones). It actually seemed like a better value to order the mozzarella stick meal because it also came with fries. One thing I found a little odd is that none of the meals come with a drink, which feels unusual for combo meals. The chicken tenders come with dry rub seasoning levels. We tried light, mild and hot flavors. The meals come with a slice of white bread, pickles, and a dipping sauce that tasted like a sweet mayo based sauce (possibly a ketchup/mayo blend). The food itself was fresh, hot, and seemed good quality overall. A couple small issues though. The pickles were placed touching the chicken tenders, which made part of the breading soggy by the time we got home. Also, when we were leaving the store, an employee came out to tell us we had forgotten one of our tenders in the bag. When we got home we also realized one order of fries was missing, so we almost left without a whole tender and did leave without one order of fries. For the amount of food we got (no drinks included), the total was around $29, which felt a little high considering the missing item. Overall, the food itself wasn't bad it was actually pretty good and clearly made fresh. But between the price, missing items, and the fact that it's just not something I usually crave, it's probably not somewhere I'll be going back to often.
