This is a great local dive bar. The food was decent and the ssrvice was prompt. We ordered all apps and were happy with the food.

Mill City Pub took the place of the Iron Horse on Airport Road in Fitchburg. They completely revamped the decor & the bar and it looks great! They offer a pretty decent selection of beers on tap that are chilled perfectly, the staff is very friendly and attentive, and the 2 times I've been there, they had great live music! Here is where they really need to work on some things in order to keep people coming back. The food is lousy and it's overpriced. The menu looks interesting with things like Wings with Infused Sauces using beer and or whiskey, Nachos, Fried Goat Cheese, Flat Breads, Tacos, Mac N cheese, etc...The execution of these things leaves much to be desired. The wings were not crispy at all, in fact, they were rubbery & chewy. The "sauce" on the Barrel Blossom Wings tasted like apple sauce that was just dumped on top, making them cold. We also tried the Fireball wings that were were a little more palatable once we asked for some hot sauce to cover them up with.(We sent back the apple wings & they were removed from the bill because those were pretty awful). The Sweet Dream Flat Bread was nothing to rave about. It looked as if they tore 1 slice of cheese in sections & plopped it on the top of some pulled pork concoction, the tacos were probably the best things and by best I mean mediocre, and the "tin can nachos" is this gimmicky thing where they dump nacho fixens in a large can & the waitress lifts the can spilling the contents on a platter at your table. It's weird and messy and it was nothing more than tri colored tortilla chips with cubes of chicken that were burnt with some strange white sauce that made me think they were trying to do a Béchamel that honestly tasted like jarred Alfredo sauce. Most everything tasted processed and reheated. This was my second time eating there. The first time I went I had a party of 3 with me and a party of 4 the second time a few weeks later, and we all agree, the food is just not good. I hope the owners take the criticism and use it to improve what could be a really good foundation for a successful local business! I would definitely go back to enjoy an ice cold beer and listen to some live entertainment, but until they do some big improvements on the quality of their food, I will not be dining there.

Oh my gosh, their special Bluberry BBQ pulled pork sliders infused w/ Wachusett Bluberry Ale is so good! Just the right amount of bluberry!

Terrible security, I now know where to send my bouncers for a lesson in how NOT to treat customers. Thanks Mill City!

Thirsty robots needs robots!…read more It's Saturday and we head in about 30 minutes after they open. We are going to be at least 12 people. My daughters volleyball team is meeting up for lunch with their families before we head to a local tournament. Now- We go to breweries ALL the time. We haven't really faced this issue before but: they only had 2 people working and had 2 really small ovens. They cannot handle the demand of people or food orders. It took about an hour for us to receive a mac and cheese, a pizza, an order of pierogi's and a quesadilla. My husbands food never hit the table (a chicken, bacon, ranch wrap.) Other families who ordered right after us- it took an hour and 20 minutes to get the food. Pizza- My family said it was ok Pierogi's- (potato & cheese) was there any cheese in it? A lot of potato (pro tip: ask for some liquid cheese served with the pretzels for dipping!) Mac & Cheese- they put nutmeg in it. my opinion: nutmeg doesn't belong in mac & cheese. quesadilla- (cheese) HUGE portion! extra crispy cheese on the edges. I like this style! Then... the line! This is the food ordering, beer ordering and bill pay line. My husband was in line for over 15 minutes to pay the bill. I actually don't even know exactly how long because I had to leave him there to pay while I got the kids to the tournament! It's got a decent location, good size, cool little outdoor area, cool art on the walls and their food was decent but they just can't handle a crowd. Underprepared.

Whenever we go out to eat I always suggest coming here because I look forward to trying new things but also love sticking to some of my favorites like the g Vegas nachos and southwest bowl. They also have the best fried pickles around. Even when the restaurant is busy, the servers are attentive and friendly. I love the ambience and that they have local artists Work posted all the time. I am huge in supporting small sellers and small businesses and I love that they do that too. It's also great that they let you pick from their own flights or you can choose your own!

Gardner Ale House at Moon Hill Brewing gave us a nice evening of good music, cold brews, good food,…read moredollar oysters! (Apr 2026). We came here to try out their Monday Blues, and happened on their Monday Buck-a-Shuck oysters! We found a long room with over 70 seats set up at tables for four that looked combine-able, about 20 seats at the bar and at 2-seat hightops, both rooms with a wall of windows. The band set up in the bar window, but sit where you like, we found that we could hear the band everywhere! There's also a small enclosed outdoor patio with about 30 more seats at umbrellaed tables. The Jim Atkinson band is a foursome of Boston-area musicians that has been cranking out great blues, rock, & roots since 2017. We loved them, especially enjoying the creative keyboard and a real live sax! Their music selection was amazing, more their favorite solid blues than old-standbys, so we didn't recognize every song. But that's real music :-) The $1 New England oysters were big and juicy! They started at 4pm before we got there, and they still had plenty for us after 7pm! They say the variety changes with availability. These were not overly salty. This was dinner for us, and we started with their hot-skillet "Mexican Corn Dip" with zingy pico de gallo salsa and fresh crisp corn tortilla chips. We got a "warm energy" bowl of quinoa, fresh tart cranberries, baby spinach, roasted sweet potato, and goat cheese, flavored with some scallions and garlic-butter. Huge, delicious, and very satisfying! The Fish 'n Chips was a full-foot-long full of their own Moon-Hill-beer beer-battered haddock, piping-hot fries, fresh crunchy coleslaw, with tartar sauce. Yep, Huge, delicious, and satisfying! We tried their parmesan-garlic wings, but that wasn't our favorite. They were ok, but not crispy which we expected. Came with crunchy celery and creamy bleu cheese. Of course we leaned on their in-house Moon Hill brewery for several dry IPAs, their luscious Candy Mountain blueberry sour, (which could have been colder), and a very tasty non-alcohol Blueberry (Not)-tini, a bubbly beverage crafted with "Reàl Blueberry Purée", fresh lemon juice and lemonade. This is a nice community bar, brewery, restaurant, and patio. We are already looking forward to their big Octoberfest!
