Such a neat little store jam packed with so much stuff! Some nice gift items to choose from, the deli selection looks fresh, and the aisles are lined with lots of packaged goodies like candy, snacks, and organic staples. I picked up some Amish popcorn kernels for our hot oil popper and some jams and jellies to give as gifts. We were too stuffed to try out the deli sammiches, but will definitely be back to try them soon! read more

Really cute store with all of the typical, high quality Amish products. Everyone we encountered here was very pleasant and friendly. We stopped here for lunch a couple of weeks ago, at about 12:15 on a Saturday. The protocol is, you fill out a paper ticket (that serves as a menu) indicating what your selections are, along with your name & hand it to the person behind the deli counter. When your food is ready they come out and call your name, and you wave them over. I got tuna salad & my husband got the turkey rueben. We got our drinks and took a seat, and waited. And waited... and waited. We noticed several parties that were behind us in line received their sandwiches before we did. I know it all depends on what was ordered, etc. etc. Finally, after about 20 minutes, one of the employes came out and called my name - I knew something was up, because she had no food in her hands She told me that they were out of tuna salad. Um.. ok. She then asked what I wanted instead. The only thing she had in her hand was the ticket that I'd filled out (they have 3-4 'tickets' that list their sandwiches, salads, etc.) - and I could've asked to look at those, but at that point I was really hungry so I just looked at the other sandwich options listed on my ticket, and ordered a grilled pimiento cheese. From then - it was at least another 15-20 minutes before we got our food. I'd *assumed* when she came out with my ticket to say "we're out of tuna salad", that they had just gotten to our ticket & were making our food. Apparently, as is often the case, that assumption turned out to be wrong. Finally my husband's sandwich came out - and a couple of minutes after, mine arrived. My husband enjoyed his, mine was ok - pretty much a gloppy mess. All-in-all a pretty disappointing visit. ‍ read more

I have been here several times and gotten the Rueben sandwich. It is delicious! Shopping is fun there and lots of healthy options!!

Great place to get organic, non GMO and gluten free foods. It's like a general store full of awesomeness. I stop here anytime I visit Mt.Airy. There is plenty of parking around the building and nice clean restrooms available for customers. They also sell Amish made items. read more

Great food! Lots of stuff to look at while they make your sandwich. Prices are very reasonable and staff is friendly. They also sell that Amish furniture that is made from plastic. We have some at home and it is nice looking, durable stuff! Free samples of various food items too! read more

We went to eat for lunch here one day, and may I tell you, it was a good experience, a very different one. Sandwiches of any variety, and customize your own. The method of ordering was somewhat odd, and I think it could've been executed better. I'm not going to complain too much though, because their staff was extremely kind and helpful. The sandwiches were received, along with a delicious tap real sugar old time soda. Very great. The sandwich was bursting at the seams with meat and cheese, along with a nice herb mayo. It was delicious, and the only thing I would change is the variety of chips. (That's just me being hungry) Definitely a place to visit! A great restaurant and store!! read more

This is the quintessential Mt.Airy spot. The ultimate general store feel. Love the wide selection in the grocery area, unique foods, drinks, jams, jerkies, and everything you could think of that make it an authentic country shop. Then on top of that, the deli is fantastic. Fresh made grilled sandwiches with the perfect amount of crunch in the bread, flavorful meats and fresh toppings. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Run by a some might say "snobby holier than thou" family who prices items like it was still the Great Depression. Wouldn't hurt to give out coupons or samples for their overpriced country fare... But, no, you are unwelcome to come in and buy at the steep rates because they have one of the larger volume stores in the city. read more

My favorite sandwiches, other than NY deli's. The Ruben is to die for and the chicken salad on croissant is pretty dang good too. Just be careful because your little sandwich bill will easily turn into a shopping extravaganza because they have so much great stuff. (Amish popcorn is amazing btw) On a side note, this is NOT a fast moving shop. Plan on taking your time. read more

Visited for 1st time today. Nice selection on the sandwich menu. Got a "Shorty's Mill" and the special of the day, which was a turkey, lettuce, tomato, cheese. Both were delicious. Sandwich making was a little slow so keep that in mind if you are in a hurry. I would definitely recommend & will return. read more
