    Blueberry / Peach Sonker
    Chuck T.

Nothing outstanding. We had the Tig Ole Nachos and a Skiganator Burger. The nachos had way too much lettuce on top. So much, we thought it was a salad at first. The burger was pretty good. That's coming from someone who hasn't had Pimento cheese before. Finished the meal with a Blueberry Peach Sonker. Since it was my first Sonker, I guess it was good. The waitress was attentive and friendly.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great little place tucked away in downtown, Pilot Mountain.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our drinks came quickly as did the food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They were somewhat crowded at noon so going during off hours would probably be best if you're not a fan of too much "coziness".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Margherita Flatbread was amazing as was the Southwest my spouse ordered. The tenders we received as an appetizer were equally tasty. Our waitress was very friendly and checked on us regularly. Great experience all around!

Checked this place out for a quick Sunday lunch after visiting Pilot Mountain. Staff was polite but not very attentive. Food came out fast and was pretty delicious. Chicken fingers and chips were great. Club sandwich had a ton of meat, and the fresh fruit was really fresh. Hawaiian chicken sandwich good. If I am in town I would consider dining here again.

We were in Pilot today around lunchtime and decided to get lunch at The Tilted Ladder. We've been here a couple of times in the past and enjoyed the food. Unfortunately there are very few good restaurants, in my opinion, in the area but this is one of the good ones. Our waitress, Heather, was super. She made good suggestions and followed up to ensure that we were happy with the food. The burgers are definitely the best around and I highly recommend them. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant is interesting and there's 10 TV screens around the wall and at the bar area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since they are closed captioned it's not annoying to the customers who are not interested in watching the screens.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Although they were busy today service and food was great.

Sirloin and hot honey chicken Alfredo a must!

Everyone was friendly. Service was great. The best fried pickles and sweet potato fries! Never had hot honey chicken Alfredo....I would definitely order it again.

My mom and I had plans for lunch but my work got in the way a little. So she rode along with me to Pilot Mountain to finish my work and then have lunch. Yelp lead us to The Tilted Ladder and I'm so happy we went! We were seated right away by a friendly server. Everything on the menu sounded delicious but the tilted chicken sounded just amazing so we both ordered versions of it. I got mine with hot honey and my mom got hers with gravy. It came on a bed of mashed potatoes that were so creamy and perfectly seasoned. We each got a side too. I got a salad and my mom some broccoli. I don't get up to Pilot Mountain much but I need to make another trip because just thinking about that chicken is making me want it again. The restaurant also has a full bar, a bunch of TV's and so many other menu items that anyone can find what they want there. The casual atmosphere makes it a fun and comfortable place to go have lunch or dinner.

    Sonker of love and peaches

We came here in search of sonker, but wanted to try the regular menu offerings as well. I was not overly impressed with my entree, the tilted chicken and the kitchen forgot the onion straws which is kind of a key dimension of the dish. Otherwise, it was cold mashed potatoes with an average chicken breast and very nice white gravy. I was feeling pretty meh towards the experience until the sonker came out- and wow is it good. It's only the second sonker of the numerous on the surry sonker trail we have tried but so far, it's ranked number one by far. Definitely different from a cobbler.

    Pretzel bites & spicy mustard

Drove past and turned around! Lori our server had a great smile and laugh. Relaxing atmosphere. A rude couple wanted sirloin tips and the sever explained they were fresh out . They left but were just plain rude. Server remained upbeat. We ordered our food , a Grandma style pizza drizzled with a hot pepper type honey (so good )and enjoyed it immensely along pretzel bites earlier while enjoying our drinks. Thank you

The staff is incredibly friendly. They have such a warm and inviting atmosphere, full of local pride. I decided to try their margherita flatbread, and although it had more of a pesto pizza vibe, it was still absolutely delicious. To start off our meal, we couldn't resist ordering three appetizers for just $14.99. We went with the onion petals, the chicken quesadilla, and the hot chips, and let me tell you, they were the highlight of the entire dining experience. The chicken quesadilla, in particular, was bursting with flavor and pure deliciousness. We also couldn't resist trying their boneless chicken, which had a perfect crispy exterior and a juicy interior. We opted to have the sauce on the side, and it was just as mouthwatering as the rest of the meal.

Driving home to pa from Carolina beach and we were all starving. My husband suggested this place. It's in a small town and I was definitely hesitant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is kind of basic no frills. Booths and tables. TVs on the wall and bar in the back that has a female bartender with a shaved head and tattoos on her head.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered the three pick appetizer. The cheesesticks were phenomenal. Homemade chips good. And onion petals tiny but good. I got the cardinal burger. It was not cooked the way I wanted (overcooked) BUT it was still amazing. The chili was super hearty and homemade tasting. SALAD DINNER (Cesar and chicken) WERE AMAZING according to my spouse. Kids got Philly and grilled cheese. They liked it. Portions were good. Service was BOMB and super fast. Literally....we will make this a stop every time we are coming through this area!!!!! Did not disappoint. Oh and the homemade dressings (cilantro and the ranch) were soooooo good!

The young lady behind the counter the evening of our visit was kind, professional and helpful. We had a couple questions about the whats and hows, she answered them with a smile. There is no real area to sit and eat here, so its mostly take it and go. A handful of benches but no table tops. We ordered a couple "hunks" of pizza (basically a quarter of a pie) and ice cream with a soda and tea. Simple easy and inexpensive. We sat on the outside bench while she prepared our pizzas, once ready the buzzer went off and I retrieved our boxed quarter pies from the service window. She made our ice creams in just a couple minutes and we were on our way back to our place. The food is simple basic and good, the service friendly and kind. 3.5 Stars rounded up for the kind friendly service 01237

Walking into the bakery felt like stepping into a pastry lover's dream. The warm aroma of freshly baked bread and sweet confections filled the air, and the presentation was nothing short of picture-perfect. Every cake, pie, and cookie looked as though it belonged in a high-end magazine and I found myself salivating over every sweet concoction. But sadly, the taste didn't live up to the visual appeal. Despite the bakery's inviting atmosphere, the flavors fell flat, lacking the richness and depth I had hoped for. The confectionary sugars were tasteless and dry. It's frustrating when something looks and smells incredible but doesn't deliver where it truly counts--on the palate. We got the Cow Patty cake which is like a no bake cookie on top of a chocolate cake: the top was ok but crumbled when you tried to cut it, and the chocolate cake below was very dry from being overbaked. I was super excited to see she had Hot Cross Buns which I had always wanted to try but never found a bakery that sold them. Once again I was left very disappointed. The bun itself was very dry and the cross on top was so hard you could not eat it. I was literally able to peel the cross off the bun and it did not break. The last thing we got was what I think was a Chocolate Chunk Pecan Pie ??? It was like a chocolate chess pie with pecans and chunks of chocolate baked into it. Once again very disappointed. The pie should have been sweet but was very lack luster and flavorless. One bright spot, however, was the owner who was pleasant despite the culinary shortcomings. I appreciate her kindness and the effort she put into creating such a beautiful space, but when it comes to flavor, there's room for improvement. Here's hoping future visits bring a better balance between the bakery's stunning presentation and the taste of its creations.

While we were in the line the staff were taking time to get to know the guests which I thought was a great service touch. I got the NY Cheesecake Stacker and wow. It was good. We were welcomed in by staff, who was very friendly. They offer a massive selection of ice cream flavors, which makes it tough to pick. They offer something for everyone including dairy free options (including vegan options), as well as classic flavors, fruity flavors, and their own concoctions! In addition, they offer unlimited toppings to be added at NO EXTRA CHARGE!!!!! Still stuffed from dinner, I got a "single" cup, which they actually allow you to put up to (2) favors in. I decided to to go with (2) of their original creations, getting the Peanut Butter Cookies & Cream, and the Salty Caramel Brownie, to top it off, i got a chocolate drizzle, sprinkles and whipped cream. WOW! Don't let the size of the cup fool you, they pack it, full, and have overflowing. They don't skimp. The ice cream was absolutely delicious, so rich and full of flavor. The space is very relaxed with plenty of seating, as well as games for people to enjoy while visiting. Another nice touch, the cashier gave us a bottle of water on the house. In addition to cups and cones, they also offer milkshakes, ice cream tacos made to your liking, and so much more. Hands down, this has got to be the best spot in the Triad to get a nice sweet treat! As the days are warming up, I'm looking forward to going back!
