Driving South to Augusta we decided to break up the 10-hour trip with a round of golf in North Carolina. A friend had recommended this course so we stopped in about midday. It was easy to get a tee time and the prices were very reasonable, $34 for 18 holes with a cart. The clubhouse and facilities are excellent. Just grabbed a quick hot dog at the grill prior to teeing off and it was very good. The course itself is really nice and gives you a good mixture of risk-reward shots. It was typical spring conditioning but I can see how once the grass grows in it will be a beautiful course. All of the staff with whom we dealt were wonderful and friendly including the course maintenance personnel. I'll definitely be back to play if in the area. read more

we had 20 golfers to play here on Friday. One of our players as the cashier for a cart key. the cashier refused to give him a key. he informed the cashier that 20 players wold be here in our group, he still refused to give him a cart. Don't usually like to play on Sundays due to the crowd, but some friends were in town, and it's the only day available. It was busy, but the pace of play was pretty remarkable for what I have seen at other places. I wish they had a grill read more

This is a very nice and fun track. It's a little bit on the easy side (white tees), but the layout is challenging enough to keep it fun. They really did a nice job of keeping the natural terrain for decorative purposes and hazards. Alot of the teeboxes are lined with trees and tall grass in front (if you whiff on your drives... good luck finding it in that stuff). The greens are very nice and roll very true (slick but fair). The service is really great too. I had the news and observer card, but our tee time was before the allowed time (stupid small print!) so the guy at the proshop gave us the midday rate instead of charging us full price. The starter also gave us some tips on things to look for. All around friendly staff. I can't remember exactly what the green fee was but I remember that it was reasonable (especially given the course conditions). The fee also comes with a free lunch and range balls for warming up too! The range is nice but nothing special, but they have a nice little chipping green with two bunkers. Overall a good place to get out and play, and I would highly recommend checking it out. read more

Played several courses in area, this was great value and enjoyable play for the price. Well worth the price! Would play again.

My golf group scheduled a tee time for 10:20AM July 6th. We drove to the course from Raleigh which was about a 44 minute drive. When we arrived at the course to our disgust they has just aerated the greens and they were all completely covered with sand. Nobody bothered to tell us while booking the time that this had occurred. To make matters worse we were told we were not showing as having made a reservation. One of the guys working suggested that we could play for free for that day which was clearly not an option given the condition of the greens. Another said they would give us vouchers for a free round at a later date. Then yet another guy said they could not do that because we were not showing as having made a reservation. Clearly to me this signaled that they realized they screwed up an this was their way of not accepting any blame. We then asked for the number for the Challenge Golf Club to which they said they did not have. Of course we looked it up and called ourselves. They were extremely accommodating. For anyone with thoughts of playing Mill Creek I would say stay far away. They clearly have issues and do not know how to deal with customers. Head on up the road a few more minutes and play the Challenge Course. Will never go back to Mill Creek again. read more
