The lesson I am trying to convey here is that if your like me and you show up early and notice that the lights are off inside- just be patient- they will come on again. Maybe a door sign might help? Once I got inside Joy introduced herself and we sat down to talk about my issues. She has a very kind and compassionate way of communication. Something I was missing from my regular doctor. After she got a sense of what type of treatment I was looking for I was able to hop on the table and begin my acupuncture treatment. I've never experienced this before and I really didn't know what to expect. But it was painless and really kind of interesting. After everything was said and done Joy sold me some really great products to help with my allergies. Some Chinese herbal supplements and a neti pot for my nose. I went home that night and used the neti pot and took my first dose of supplements. I honestly can't remember the last time I was able to breath that clearly and sleep as deeply as I did. I woke up the next morning feeling well rested and best of all No sneezing or bloody nose. I've since been back to see Joy once again for a follow up and I still feel great. At that appointment, the massage therapist asked me how often I wanted to come. I suggested weekly due to my pain, and he cautioned me against it, saying that my authorization was just or 12 visits, and that would burn through them in 3 months. The next appointment, I received a personal text that morning, claiming that they had a family member in the hospital and needed to cancel. The message said they would reach out to reschedule. After waiting a week and hearing nothing, I called them, and they rescheduled me. On the day of that appointment, they cancelled again, claiming that the massage therapist was sick. I rescheduled. On the day of the next appointment, they cancelled by text yet again, once again with an excuse. I rescheduled for today (2 weeks later) because I was going to be out of town last week, which they said they understood. Today when I checked in, they told me that my appointments were only authorized to attend every week, and since I did not come every week, my unused weeks would be cancelled. I objected, and they insisted that this was what had been stated all along. I gave up and left. I promptly reported them to the VA for treating Veterans dishonestly and avoiding care. They told me to go ahead and report them, and go ahead and leave negative reviews, so here I am. These people are not honest. I can only guess that they jerked me around because the VA pays the an agreed amount that is lower than their full standard rates.
