The owner, Dan, is a genius when it comes to wine. Sure, you can get red and white wines there. Those are great! But what you may not know, is that if you can name a fruit, Dan's turned it into wine. Blackberries, pineapple, apple, strawberry, cherry...even raspberry jalapeño if you really want to push everything you think you know about wine to the brink. All are crowd pleasers for both parties and as gifts. My favorite is Tropical Tradewinds (pineapple wine with hints of vanilla and macadamia nuts). Been a club member for over a decade and his wine has only gotten finer. Supporting this small business forever! read more

Nice little winery for a stop over. Wine was delicious and had fun names. Definitely try the Berries and Beans, really it's so weird it works and is super delicious. This is my favorite winery in the South Sound. There is something for everyone, from pineapple wine to Syrah. The owners are often just hanging out at the tasting room and everyone is really friendly. This tasting room is in a separate building from the owner's home, in a quiet part of Tenino. My favorite wines are pear, pineapple, breakaway (Pinot Noir), and the new ice wine (Riesling+pear). There are over 30 different wines to try. Some are seasonal, so I like to try out new ones when I go. Prices are incredibly reasonable, and they try to source fruit as locally as possible, which I really like. There are often groupon or living social deals for tasting+bottle of wine for under $20 so definitely look for those deals when they come up. read more

Came here for a wine tasting. I recommend calling ahead of time to make a reservation because this place is very modest in size - I think only 12 people maximum can be in the tasting room at a time. The wine was very, very good. Also - the salmon dip that they gave us was really good too. The owners are friendly. However, don't come expecting a huge winery. This is a relatively young winery (I think less than a year old), so they're running it out of their own home. It's not some huge vineyard, so expect modesty and great wine and you will be happy. read more

I have been a wine club member with Mill Lane Winery for approximately 8 months. The wine itself had me sold, but the generous discounts offered to their loyal customers clinched the deal. Dan and Deana are great people who value each and every person in their growing customer base. The atmosphere is always warm, relaxed, comfortable and inviting. With plans for expansion I am super excited to see where this gem of a winery goes in the future. As for the wine, if you like sweet fruit wines this is the place for you! Not only do they have a plethora of choices in wines made from the actual fruit listed on the label such as locally grown strawberries and Washington peaches, but Dan has an amazing way with blending new and exciting wine flavors. The limited "Wine of the Month" selections like Blackberry Truffle" (a creation of blackberry wine with chocolate flavors and a hint of vanilla) or the new and amazing Peach Cobble that is best served warm with flavors of brown sugar and vanilla that is perfect for the colder days that are fast approaching; are only two examples of the incredible flavors coming out of this small, local, family owned and operated winery that I am thrilled to call "my winery". read more

This is hands down the best winery in Washington. I've seen their business grow since the beginning and their growth is due in large part to their phenomenal service and their amazing wines. I visited this small winery with a wine tasting and appetizer voucher from Amazon Local. I was not expecting much, as it was quite cheap and I find some businesses give less attention to those who come in with coupons. That was not true here! Driving up, I was a little worried, as this is just a very small building behind somebody's house. Inside, however, it is warm and inviting with some cute quirky merchandise for sale. It felt homey. One of the owners served us herself. As we were tasting, she had fantastic recipes and serving ideas for each wine. Although the voucher was for eight tastings, we actually got more than that. She seemed genuinely happy that we found the wines delicious, and let us try a couple more that she thought we'd enjoy based on our preferences. She even mixed a couple fruit wines together to give us a unique taste. Also, the majority of the wines are made with local fruits (not the pineapple, of course). It's obvious that the owners are passionate and love what they do. I came home with a large haul of wine and will be back for more. read more

Four of us were renting an Airbnb nearby, and a quick Yelp search turned this winery up. So glad we stopped by! One of the owners was behind the counter when we came in- she was so sweet and was happy to answer all of our questions about the wines while giving us quick snippets of background about the winery and how they developed their wines. I'm not a huge fan of sweet/syrupy wines, which is what I typically associate with fruit wines. The fruit wines here were incredible. So crisp with so much flavor. The rhubarb-blackberry was my favorite, and I love that they will ship so I can use it as gifts for friends! Looking forward to seeing what other wines this winery produces in the future! read more

This place is small, great wines, and a lot of fruit wines. During the summer they use pop up gazebos on the grounds to maximize the seating area. The owners and staff are really nice and knowledgeable about the products. Parking is very limited. If it is raining or wet it maybe muddy. read more

Amazing! Best fruit wine I have ever tasted!

Just returned from Mill Lane Winery. I took my wife and a couple of her friends for a tasting. We were served stuffed mushrooms and home-made salmon dip with crackers and cheese along with chocolates and salami. We tasted several wines which were served by the owner herself. She was very friendly and gave detailed information concerning each wine as we tasted it. Their selection was in my opinion, excellent. We tasted 3 reds, a mulled red, a mulled apple which was amazing and several fruit wines. One friend enjoyed the wines so much, she joined their quarterly wine club. Overall I rate them 5 stars, the only drawback being the small sitting area. I wouldn't try doing a group larger than 8. I will be going back soon to buy more wine! read more

Visited this winery with my sister mid week and we were pleasantly surprised! Yes, the winery is small, but very inviting. The wines were wonderful, ranging from reds to whites to fruit wines of every imaginable variety. The Syrah was great, very fruit forward with a peppery finish. The owner took time to give us the background of the winery and wine making process. Love the labels created by Deana, very different from most. The fruit wines are spectacular, ranging from dry to quite sweet dessert types. All in all, very impressed and will be back! read more

A couple runs this place out of the back of their home and has the place dressed up like a typical tasting room. When I arrived I explained that I would like to do a wine tasting and the lady asked for my ID. I happily showed it to her. I then asked to try their cranberry wine. She explained that it was popular this time of year, but then realized that it wasn't in their fridge in the room so she had to go out to another building. She left in a bit of a huff and then her husband came in and just stood there staring at us with his arms crossed. We were the only people in the room at this time. After several moments he asked if he could see my ID card. I explained that she had already checked it. He again asked if he could see it again "just to be sure". I handed mine over again and he made several comments about how young I look. Several more moments went by and we asked if we could try a different wine while she was getting that one. He agreed and poured a glass. She came back and laughed when she saw the computer screen saying "you checked their IDs again". We just sat their awkwardly. We sampled their fruity wines. The cranberry lacked strong flavor and many of the other wines were more acidic than I like. Overall the experience was alright, although a bit awkward. She was unable to print a receipt after paying with a credit card and explained that they were having trouble with their Comcast payment app. She explained that if there are any issues with our bank statement that "you know where to find us". I know she was trying to lighten the mood, but I felt a bit strange. read more
