Holiday Party and Food Bank Fundraiser.

The winter seasonal beer was excellent. Xmas music was very enjoyable. Nice bazaar and fundraiser for the county food bank. Cheers!

Pros: Chill lounge/sitting area at the front corner with sofas, a low bar (accessibility friendly) and board games. Big tables to accommodate groups and various bar seating. Large brewery menu screens with large range and the food looked good. Tbh we came for brews so can't comment on food. The Wildman Beer brand was so-so. Some better than others! Cons: FOH staff interaction. Why we love pubs/breweries is because of the chill, friendly, conversational flow of FOH; their knowledge of the beers and/or cocktails, their passion for sharing it with new customers so they come back again and again ... this vibe fell short at Wildman. TL;DR Good for a basic group of people looking for a brewery experience in town with room for large groups. Not for those who are expecting an awesome brewery experience -- a la PDX, DEN, PHX, ATX or SEA.

But when I saw that they opened up a location in Olympia and Steve and I were going to Olympia for a show it made perfect sense to go to this new location. Downtown where our show was is super walkable and this brewery is right there. When we went in what escaped my attention at the Raymond location was that I was particularly impressed with their own mead selection. And the mead did not disappoint in the slightest. The first mead I had was their Oak Aged Classic Mead. Such fantastic balance in body and the oak flavor was truly impressive! I got another mead from the list, the Sneaky Bastard Meer. It's called meer I believe due to the five different kinds of hops they put into it. Great floral and honey flavored highlights! Our experience here was excellent! Steve enjoyed his drink selections as well! Definitely returning for more mead enjoyment!

The meat, peppers, cheese sauce and roll come together really nicely. The tots were so crunchy and had a great amount of Cajun seasoning. When I order tots at places I'm often disappointed because they're undercooked or very greasy or lack flavor, but these guys really nailed it. These tots were not greasy, as crunchy as they could have been and so tasty. Friendly service from the server with the cool short blonde hair and the rest of the team as well.

The vibe here is identical to all of the other McMenamin's properties. Low lighting, eclectic, and lots of original components. So cool to see the pictures here from back in the day with little changed in the space! The barback here is super cool and you can tell it's original. Our waitress was great - she was nice and huge shoutout to her for recognizing we had our passports because we almost forgot to get them stamped (hate to say we do this pretty often). I always get their hazy IPA, it never disappoints. They also usually have good cider options for my husband which is always a relief since he can't do beer much anymore. The food at any of their properties is always pretty solid and that was true here as well. I went pretty basic and just got a cheeseburger, but it was delicious! Cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Stoked that we finally checked out this location - we'd definitely return if we were in the area again.

Then I saw the concerts, the art nights, the craft nights. It really is a social space with a ton of personality and the service is excellent. Often, I am mean girled with small businesses. Heck, I am mean girled in big business but that sucks less because it's cheaper and more convenient. The women who work here are kind to me and my family, even when busy and overwhelmed. The vegan cod is excellent. It's become a team name with my husband. I am eating the broccoli salad right now and am literally making love to it with my mouth. Is it the sunflower seeds? The red onions? Man, it's refreshing, small and guilt free (unlike my double screwdriver). This is a positive space. They help the community, no matter what they look like coming through the door. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Lots of homeless and pretty dirty area. It was kind of a warm evening and the place was not air-conditioned. They had the door open and there were people smoking outside and the smoke just came in. I tried a couple of things on the menu and neither one of them was very good. I didn't even finish my drink. It was terrible.

Loved that there was diversity in the meal choices for veterans. No other restaurant that I went to compared. Not a big steak person either, but this steak was chewy. Got medium rare and it was really good for me. I liked it. I was shocked! service was great. Just a bunch of kids working who were having a good time among themselves, but a not a bother to the guests. Addressed guests' needs right away and did not let their side conversations take priority. It was good hospitality. I was able to do my work on my computer in peace. I think that my waitress also forgot to give me the $5 coupon on the next meal, if I come here again, because I swear that is part of the Applebee's Veterans Day deal. Oh . I came there at around 2300 or 11PM when it was nearing closing time Very dim lighting. Many booths available as well as seating at the bar! I just wish that there were more...apple decorations? Bee decor? Idk. I just never understood the name and the restaurant was not like what I thought that it would be. I am just being nit picky, but this restaurant could be standout if they had something unique like that going on. I am asking for too much, I know. I like that this restaurant also gives a mini card for guests on Veterans Day. It was the cutest thing! They were picture cards from elementary school kids to veterans to thank them for their service. It was a heartwarming gift to receive and something that I am keeping with me at my apartment! No other restaurant did that, so I will plug in Applebee's as the best restaurant to go to for Veterans Day! No one doing it like them
