This place is legendary for anyone living in the Leominster/Fitchburg area. The other day, someone asked on FB where they could get the best bagels, and legit nearly every comment out of the 99 comments recommended this place. They are located on N Main St, Leominster on a pretty busy main road. Pulling in, there are about 13 spots all around with an additional 5 spots in front of the connected business. Actually, now that I am writing this review and referencing Google Maps, I had no idea there were several more spots behind the business. Either way, it can be a little hectic if you pull into the lot during a busy hour as it can be tricky to wait or navigate around other people trying to back out of their spot. This place feels like a time capsule. Everything appears old fashioned and unchanged in the 13+ years I've been coming here. The large glass windows lets in a lot of natural light if you decide to stay in and eat. I've always had lovely interactions with all of the staff here. As expected the bagels here are top tier. I will admit I'm no bagel expert or snob, but even my amateur experience can recognize these guys sell bagels many quality tiers above store-bought bagels. My go-to item to get here is actually their Chicken Salad Club Panini. The bread is perfectly toasted, the raw onions have a great bite to them, the bacon adds more texture and saltiness and the tangy honey mustard ties it all together to make one of my most favorite sandwiches. Another treat I love to get is their Pistachio Muffin microwaved with butter. It is heavenly, as are a lot of their other muffins. As you approach the counter, they offer a lot of their cream cheeses for sale. I am obsessed with their French Vanilla cream cheese. I cannot recommend this place enough. 10/10 read more

Happened upon The Daily Bagel Cafe while waiting for a nearby store to open. What a find! The decor is kinda of Americana, with plenty of tables. The bagels are made fresh onsite and are delicious. The staff is friendly and efficient. The line to order is a bit of a choke point, but they are quick to get through the line. I had a blueberry bagel and it was so good. This is a great local establishment with delicious bagels and a very friendly staff. You can tell it's a well run family business. So many breakfast sandwiches to choose from / but I typically will just get my standard poppy seed bagel and cream cheese - when I can! Hence the reason for 4 stars - even though I wanted to give 5. I routinely come on the weekend and by 10:30 / 11 am (or sometimes as early as 9:30 - like today), they are out of poppy seed bagels. I believe they can do a better job keeping up with certain flavors of bagels (like poppy, and probably others) that are more desirable and run out faster on their peak days. Sure, I'll eat an onion or a cinnamon raisin, but I'm not thrilled when I walk out. And it's a real disappointment when I come in after noon and only plain are available. Just some (hopefully) constructive feedback - I'll happily revise this to 5 stars at a later point if I see my beloved poppy available late on a Sunday morning. And if you have extra, sell as day old for the following day. I'll buy them :) read more

We got a bagel with cream cheese, an egg , cheese and bacon on an English muffin and an egg and cheese on a jalapeño bagel. Everything was very good! I'm so glad I found this place! I ordered the sausage, egg, & cheese on a plain bagel and also got a scone for later on. The bagel was fresh and fillings were great; sausage and egg both cooked well and the right amount of cheese. The egg was not overcooked to the point of being dry which was a huge plus. The scone that I brought home was delicious too. I'd like to come back and try more. Let me just tell you that we had to go to Starbucks half a mile away because the quality of their espresso was bitter coffee. definitely worth a stop. The service can be a bit chaotic, since it's a strange way to place an order and there are no signs to say where to start. The line sort of blends out instead of being a cohesive straight path, but after visiting a few times you start getting into the flow of it. Service is friendly and quick. Ambiance wise, it's a small shop with nothing too glamorous, but that's what's part of the charm. They have tables and chairs where people can take their coffee, and they have newspapers to read. It's a nice place to go if you're looking to people watch outside of the usual coffee shop environment. As for the food-- the bagels are baked and made fresh daily, so you're always getting the highest quality items. Most coffee shops around the area, such as Smokestack Roasters, source their bagels from this shop and they fly off the shelves because of it. The bagels are made by the owner, who has been creating these goodies for a number of years so you know you're getting some good stuff made by an expert in her craft. I'm not too big of a fan of the coffee they serve, but that's not a big deal for me since it's called "The Daily Bagel", not the daily coffee. I'm rating it 4* because of how chaotic it can be when your ordering at the cafe. This can be solved by calling the shop directly to place your order. I had been wanting to go here for a bit. I was surprised to see some Scandinavian touches (I am Swedish). It reminded me of a little place on Cape Cod. Small family run. The wrap I got was the chicken club. I was surprised when I saw them microwaving something for my lunch. The chicken was previously cooked breast meat. The vegetable in the wrap was positive on the lettuce, but I'm picky about my tomatoes. I hate mealy tomatoes that are barely red. So, flavor wise I dont know if it was because I swapped the dressing (greek) for mayo, but it lacked wow factor for me. I was eating in my car before an interview. I wanted to reduce my mess. The pickle however had me smelling of dill because of poor wrapping. The pickle was wrapped in a piece of paper and dribbled all over my arm (large half sour dill). Chips where Wachusett unless you wanted to pay more. I paid about 9.50 for my one lunch without a drink. The staff were awesome, friendly and helpful. I'd like to go back and try something else. We've been going to what is now the Daily Bagel ( formerly Bagel Inn) for years. Today, I'm proudly wearing my Red Sox appeal. As we're checking out, the "gentleman" behind the register makes a comment on how they (Sox) have me buying their merchandise. Hell yeah! And then on departing, says, "Good thing you support em".
