Whole ambience and vibe is pretty cool and you would like to comeback once in a while to try stuff. Parking is free and just outside, it's mostly available. read more

I have added this place as my comfort "feel good" spot which I visit weekly. They are friendly, the place is always clean and the food is great! I have now tried everything on their menu and it is all consistently great! The cold brew coffee I got was also one of the best coffees I have had recently. The only thing that fell short for us was the muffin, advertised as lemon blueberry but we didn't get any lemon. My sister had a Ceasar salad which amounted to lettuce with dressing and broken chips on top. I had a grilled cheese on good thick sourdough bread with one piece of orange cheese inside. Beautiful place, I expected better food. Also the acoustics need improving. Very hard to carry on a conversation inside. I recently stopped by The Wild Hare in Hudson after hearing some buzz, and overall, the experience was... mixed. The food was good -- fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I had no complaints there. The coffee was solid, too. The wait to order was decent. Not the fastest, but nothing outrageous either. The atmosphere was cute and cozy, and it seemed like a nice spot to relax or catch up with a friend. But what really threw me off -- and honestly left me feeling a bit frustrated -- was the tipping setup. You place your order at the counter, grab your own coffee, and pick up your food when your name is called. Yet you're prompted to leave a tip upfront, before you've received anything, and without any actual table service. I'm all for tipping when service is being provided, but in this case, it felt awkward and a little unfair. It's not a dealbreaker, but it did put a damper on the experience. I just think if you're going to ask for tips, there should be some level of service attached. Otherwise, it starts to feel less like gratitude and more like obligation. read more

The staff is great, the ambiance is loft chic with sofas, tables and outdoor dining in good weather. I've had brunch, lunch, and dinner at this cafe, and never had a bad meal. The drinks are also great as it's owned by a brewery. I haven't had anything disappointing here (other than the one over salted steak), but would particularly recommend the cornbread with maple butter, the mushrooms/mushroom toast, eggs Benedict, overnight oats (the earl grey one was really good when it was on the menu), and we had a delicious peach and tomato salad as well. During the day when they are serving breakfast and lunch you order at the counter and pick your food up. It's more of a sit down service during dinner. read more

All the food is delicious. All of it. And the staff is positively delightful. For breakfast and lunch it's a delicious thoughtful menu that hits in a the right ways. Breakfasts, toasts, treats, hot bevvies and, of course, beers. For dinner, it's spendy, fancy table service that checks all the boxes and leaves your wallet lighter, but it feels well spent. Met my friend here for lunch since it was about half way between our houses. Very bright and welcoming restaurant with an interesting menu. You order your food and drinks at the counter and then listen for them to call your name when your food is ready. It didn't take long, at all! They have specialty coffees, juices, hot & cold tea, sodas, draft beer from Medusa Brewing Company, wine & some cocktails. I had seltzer with a splash of lemonade. My friend had a Pomegranate mock tail. We couldn't decide what to get, so we shared two lunch items. The Mushroom Toast was very flavorful and the Double Dog Dare Ya Wild Hare of the Dog was delicious. I particularly liked the tomato jam and cheese sauce on it. The bread on both was supper fresh. It came with a side of house greens. Perfect size lunch for the two of us. We sat for a long time socializing without being rushed out the door. It is located in a building with other businesses. Large parking lot and shared restroom. So glad I chose Wild Hare for lunch today. Would not hesitate to return if in the area. Recommended without hesitation. read more

TL;DR - very disappointed with first visit for anniversary dinner, and if you want Tapas with incredible food and flavor combinations (and an actual full bar), I recommend visiting Hangry Kitchen in Pawtucket/North Providence. If you want details, continue... Went with wife for our anniversary dinner, our first time visit. Noted the occasion on our reservation and though the hostess mentioned it when we checked in, otherwise I could discern any different experience, so not sure why they bother to ask. The restaurant is entirely in one room, including the bar/barista area, 10-15 tables, and a corner area with couches, and on the night we were there, a musician. The room is very clean, dark textured cement floors, wood tables and metal chairs without cushions, white finished walls and the expected wood ceilings is it is located in a renovated mill building. Our table was wobbly, and the surfaces are all hard in the room, so even with only a few tables populated and the guitarist, we could not hear our server when he was playing. To me the decor is more like a microbrewery than a fine dining restaurant, which seems to be how this restaurant positions itself. Maybe this was an off night, but we were not only surprised by the limited menu and lack of full bar (beer - all Medusa, mocktails, and hard seltzer only) but the prices are very high. It's supposed to be a tapas restaurant, but two of the tapas were $26 and $28 each. I think this is a more widespread problem these days, but 5 tapas, 3 drinks and coffees came out to more than $150. We really hoped for incredible food but we found almost all of the flavor combinations worked poorly - Savory popcorn cooked in duck fat had a lingering duck flavor we found unappetizing. The cheese plate (3 items) was good, but very small portions. The Brussel sprouts with some sort of chorizo glaze we likewise didn't love and left 1/2 uneaten. The wild hare entree we barely touched, and it reminded us of the insides of a chicken pot pie. Everything mushed together and one would never know the meat wasn't shredded chicken thighs. We left that mostly uneaten as well. Loved the hanger steak itself (not so much the curry sauce) and it was cooked perfectly, but at a 6oz portion, not enough to share. Even the espresso my wife ordered she said was not great. We could not remember when we've gone to a place and had so many misses. I mentioned the total bill was very high, and I'm going to highlight one example. I ordered a Medusa ale with (raspberry notes) from a bottle. I was charged a whopping $18 for this ale, which was not great - more like a typical sour with raspberry notes. For years, I've been able to buy a Lindemans Framboise - imported from Belgium and far far better - at somewhere between $10-$12 RETAIL and that bottle is twice as large as the Medusa. Medusa, like other craft breweries, needs to get it's prices back down to earth where most of us live. Our server certainly noticed that we had some uneaten things, and she did ask if everything was OK. Here's the problem - if you are out for dinner, especially a notable one like an anniversary, starting up a conversation with a server or manager about disappointing food or service just ruins the night. When the server noticed uneaten food (and 1/2 of my $18 beer) and inquired, we gave a very lukewarm, though polite, response. I feel like a good restaurant that is attuned to diners should see that as enough of a hint that things weren't liked that much, but nothing was said to us. All of the staff were very friendly, don't get me wrong, but this to me was not the experience I wanted. read more

Long overdue review, have enjoyed many wonderful experiences at Wild Hare over the past couple years. Cafe breakfast/lunch is on-point; Benedict-in-a-hole and mushroom toast are excellent options from the regular lineup, but keep an eye out for the seasonal rotations and weekly specials, such as a PHENOMENAL parsnip waffle pictured below. Dinner is only served Thu, Fri and Sat, and carries a different vibe. Full-service, closer to what might be described as "fine dining" in terms of presentation and price point. Menu changes frequently, ~8 tapas-style sharing plates with a mix of vegetarian and meat dishes featuring seasonal ingredients. And do not sleep on the cornbread appetizer - super moist and rich interior, nicely crisp griddled exterior, served with decadent maple butter. Latest weekly menu featured an incredible ube gnocchi, exemplifying the creativity and craft of the kitchen team in a well-executed fusion dish. Whether it's the cafe hosts/baristas at the counter, or the servers during dinner, service is exceptional. Really relaxed, if small, place with great vegetarian options and service. The protein itself was pretty good but their spices and sauces are what take it up a notch. Moroccan spiced cheese curds were by far the best I've had. Very light, not too salty, and well seasoned. Get them with the harissa aioli. Cauliflower falafel was excellent. Moist interior and nice crunchy crust. Definitely recommend using that on any of the burgers. The tofu in the bowl was, in my opinion, pretty bland but as mentioned before their sauces make the dish here. read more

Cute place (cafe in the daytime, more of a restaurant at night) that just opened in Hudson. We were in the area to check out a museum and feeling peckish. The decor is pretty cool, combining industrial brick and glass exterior (used to be some sort of mill) with a wall of green plants along one side. Though I will say, now that we've entered the frigid winter months, the heating doesn't quite do the trick each time someone opens the door. I spent much of the meal shivering in my coat. We ordered the steak and cheese sandwich, the spiced pumpkin soup, and the brussels and kale salad. Of the three, I liked the sandwich the best - it came on this ciabatta that was a lot fluffier than the denser version I'm used to, almost like Japanese milk bread. Salad was pretty good, the little bits of bacon and the over-easy egg I added on top were the highlights. The soup ... was not quite what I expected. I was envisioning something more savory or creamy, like the tomato soups I grew up eating in school with wedges of grilled cheese, but this one was very sweet and had the consistency of apple sauce. Not bad, but I'd go with something different next time. We also ordered two drinks. The total was around $65 for two people, which is more than I anticipate shelling out for a lunch. First impressions visiting this establishment it's all so nice, comfy and clean! Although I only ordered their Savory Popcorn with a touch of duck fat, Parmesan cheese & truffle oil. Very, very tasty along with their Lazer Cat IPA great combination BTW. Loved their Greenscape wall thought it added a special touch to the atmosphere as well. Service was good, need to look at the menu then go up at the front area and order. When it's ready they call your name and pick it up. Not long for wait time either. It was pretty busy there but not overly loud to have a conversation with your guest. Wish I was hungrier but I do plan to come back and try something a bit more hearty. I do highly recommend visiting if you're in the hudson area. Plenty of parking too! read more

I found this place when I was looking for a place to go before going to a winery nearby. And I'm so glad we came here because this place is truly a hidden gem! This is a spacious café with plenty of seating and beautiful décor. They have a long counter up front where we ordered and waited for our names to be called. The drinks came out first and was quickly followed by the food. We loved everything we ordered so for once, I don't need to rank from most favorite to least favorite because they were all equally delicious! Croque Monsieur ($13) This was a very filling dish that reminded me of grilled cheese. The brioche was fluffy and stuffed with prosciutto and gruyere cheese. The mornay sauce on top was thick and gooey. They serve this with a salad on the side and the acidity from the salad dressing helped cut through the richness of the cheese. Wild Hare Breakfast Sammie ($10) My friend really enjoyed this sandwich. The combination of the juicy sausage, sunny side up egg, and the gruyere cheese was delicious! The sandwich paired well with the roasted habanero hot sauce on the side - it was tangy, spicy, and sweet. Overall, it was a perfectly executed dish. Strawberry Ricotta Toast ($11) A well balanced toast, from the textures to the flavor profiles. The sourdough was perfectly toasted and crunchy, with ingredients on top that complemented each other. The salty prosciutto chips and pickled rhubarb helped to cut through the sweetness of the strawberry jam and creaminess of the ricotta. Bacon, gruyere, & caramelized onion scone ($6) One of their pastry items from their bakery. The bacon flavors stood out the most. I would recommend asking for it to be toasted. Caffe Latte ($5 + $1 with lavender) A+ for the latte art and the latte tasted great too. I could really taste the lavender notes coming through. My friend got the latte with the jasmine and the jasmine flavor wasn't as strong, but the coffee was good. Overall, this is an excellent place for brunch. I would love to have an excuse to come back here again and try their dinner menu as well! And hopefully they will open up a location in Boston in the future! read more

We tried the charcuterie board which came with delicious bread, jam, almonds, mustard seeds, and an array of delicious meats. Absolutely loved the food at this restaurant. Everything tasted great and taste was satisfying. A couple reasons this isn't getting five stars , is because I paid 50 dollars for 4 small items. OUTRAGEOUS. the portions and drink sizes were extremely small. Would love to come back as the mushroom toast was so damn delicious, but the portion sizes at such high price make it hard to support this beautiful farm to table style restaurant. Additionally I checked the restaurants "highlights"... Wild Hare supports LGBTQ+ but what about BIOPOC people? I'm sick of restaurants being selectively inclusive.
