I've never had the opportunity to rave about healthcare, but Walter Tan, Richard Daw, and their…read moreRaleigh Cardiology associates are truly the best in the business for cardiac care. My 87-year old father lives in the area and worked with this team to get through several issues, including the most recent - a new TAVR valve replacement procedure that was amazing. Throughout, this team of doctors showed amazing care both for my dad and for our family. EVERYONE we dealt with treated us as though we were the only people they had to worry about. I can only say it was an unexpected pleasure - especially since I had to come to Raleigh from Atlanta, GA for the meetings and appointments. We highly recommend these doctors and are grateful for them.

I was with with my father for his surgical procedure and post-operative days. He was a patient of Dr. Tan's for a cardiac valve replacement and the service provided by him and his associates was exceptional. They communicated their caring and concern by taking time to make sure questions were answered and they have processes in place to help both patient and family to feel calm and confident about the planned procedure. The pre-operative process was clearly communicated and was coordinated by an RN who assisted my father and I during the several hours of pre-op tests. The nurse arranged a visit with the anesthesiologist, made sure that test results were complete, and communicated with Dr Tan as needed. The anesthesiologist spent at least 20 minutes with us and asked several times whether we had questions. We met with Dr Tan and his nurse practitioner for about 30 minutes and they again made sure that instructions were clear and that our questions were answered. Dr Tan asked for and used my cell phone number to get in touch with me about the latest updates and about any changes to plans. He also urged me to call him any time if I had a question or a concern. He called or sent text messages and also asked each time whether I had additional questions or concerns. One evening he saw me in the hall and turned around to come talk to me and go with me to see my father so he could personally update us on things he felt were important. The Wake Medical Center staff and hospitality services enabled me to relax and get needed food and rest. Thank you for demonstrating how good medical care can be.

Dr Waddell is a truly incredible provider. Don't let his humbleness fool you, this Duke University…read moregraduate is highly intelligent , knowledgeable and is extremely kind. He is not like most medical providers that rush you out or think they have all the answers before even meeting you. He listens to you. Truly listens. The type of listening that is listening to understand and gain insight and not just listening to respond. Which is key in gaining a medical history of course but is also incredibly refreshing and reassuring that you're not being dismissed. When he asks "how can i help you?" and "what can I do for you?" you know and can feel that its sincere and that he truly cares. I deeply appreciate that and I'm certain others do as well. Each and every staff member exudes this same mindset. Upon immediate interaction, you can tell that each and every one of them care for their patients deeply. They recognize when something seems off (medically) and take immediate action to ensure you are provided the best care right away. They even helped me to my seat, brought me water, helped me stand and even went to my car and got my visit notes that I brought but forgot in the car. They physically assisted me and helped carry my belongings into each room throughout the process. They assured me that I was in the right place to get these issues treated and they are there to help me with whatever I need. Even though that incident was at my first visit, I could feel that they were right and they were. All staff members were constantly working to ensure everything ran smoothly and efficiently. At no time did I see anyone sitting, having office chit chat or doing anything other than working. I also appreciated the fact the staff spoke quietly. At no time could I hear any staff members speak through the walls, which is rare in medical office settings. Their conscience decision to speak very quietly ensures patient privacy and HIPPA and is further evidence as how much they care for their patients. Again, which I am incredibly grateful for and I'm certain others are as well. I highly recommend Dr Waddell, his staff and this facility.

Billing was Rude beyond rude , even going as far to call me dumb. as well as being unhelpful trying to remedy the situation. i have now been billed near 250$ for a service i should never have paid for because of my secondary insurance being free healthcare, within network. they refused to bill both and were so SO difficult to communicate with. i even went as far as to call both insurance companies and try to have billing talk to them, i think her name was amanda or any or something with an A specifically , and she HUNG UP ON US! even my insurance companies were baffled. i resolved to just pay this bill and be done with it, but i have never had such a bad experience trying to create a solution to such an easy problem in my life. I worked in billing for awhile too, in a dental office, i know it's a solvable problem and should not have been such a hassle. i treated them with nothing but kindness and towards the end some polite frustration but what the heck!!! leaving this review as i finally am done with this place completely now. i'll restate again, the care team are wonderful and i adored them. Billing department however.... let's just hope you don't need help with anything or have a question!
