Brutal service. Pretty much a scam. Even though you are told it is either 48 months or 40000km for the policy "whatever comes first" you cannot cancel. They sell you on a protection policy that apparently if you don't use it will pay you back $2 k... good luck. They go to fine print to avoid paying back. Cannot transfer to a new vehicle either. This business and its service is beyond terrible. There needs to be a public service announcement to warn others about the shady tactics that are employed here. Here is a list of warnings: 1) They will not answer your calls and have a small window of communication 2) There is no online way to dispute or cancel 3) They make it difficult as possible to cancel the terrible service 4) They will find ways to charge/service charge you at every opportunity The list could be extended. Are you kidding me! If their was a negative 5 Star I would give it!! I paid for a GAP Insurance for my Jeep. Long Story Short my Jeep gets stolen less than a year of purchasing it. Thank God I purchased GAP Insurance, thats what my thoughts were. Boy was I wrong! This Insurance Company gave me a run around and deducted things just to lower their payment coverage. Im out $1800. HORRIBLE insurance company. I was involved in an accident January 22nd, 2024 and I've been having nothing but issues trying to even get a simple call back, even when I would ask my claims adjuster to call me, he would just email me back, sometimes days later. I've been trying for WEEKS to speak with the supervisor. It's April 19th, 2024 and I finally received a phone call back AFTER Lynn (Claims Supervisor) was TEXTING me rather than calling about my claim. Very unprofessional and it seems like they did NOT care about helping with my claim, rather they're more worried about making money than losing out on money. Yes, it's cheap but you literally get what you paid for. DO NOT use them for insurance, please pay the extra money and save yourself the hassle and frustration. Horrible company. read more

Absolute worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. Anytime a claim is made they will do everything they can to negate the claim. I have faithfully paid for coverage and have had changes made to my policy wordings without notification, denial of claims that should have been honored, and the one claim they did honor was the biggest hassle that I even had to go to the ombudsman. They are truly awful. Even if they save you a couple bucks, it's just not worth it. Better to go with a reputable company like Intact or Cooperators. I spoke with adjusters who work with other reputable companies, and they said I should never have had the hassles I experienced with Millennium. The operate far below the industry standard, and shouldn't even be allowed to underwrite or adjudicate claims. Horrid horrid horrid. read more

One of the worst insurance companies I have ever dealt with. They have raised our rates, threatened to cancel our policy, increased our deductible to an astronomical amount, adjusters are unprofessional and haven't a clue what they are doing, they will do anything to decline your claim, truly unprofessional in every respect. We have been with Millennium for many years - not by choice trust me as we were told after making a claim if we go to another company our rates will go up. We unfortunately recently had to place another claim ( 2 in 15 years) and have been advised our deductible is well into the 5 figures and are basing the rate on an inflated cost to replace the building and contents. When this is all said and done we will be looking for a reputable, if there is such a thing, insurance company. It is truly sad how they are able to get away with how they treat people and truly rip them off. Stay away at all costs! read more

i have had the worst experience with this insurance company. i have been car less for almost 5 months with no parts available any time soon. millenium is aware and they do not honour their policy, instead they look for loop holes and yet they still continue to take my money but they have left me high and dry. i had to fight and threaten them with legal action to finally hear back from management. i need a vehicle to work as i am commission based only and they don't care. i wish i read all these reviews before i ever signed up with this fraud of a insurance company. i am suing for damages and for decieving coverage. do your research before ever signing with them read more

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE FOR YOUR INSURANCE! CROOKS! They cancelled my policy at renewal time after sending a notice of cancellation 3 weeks into the required 4 week waiting period, giving me almost no time to find a new insurer. Went to get new insurance after finding out, the company posts a cancellation for non payment with a different account number that I never set up with them that was supposedly issued and cancelled the same day, and 3 days prior to them issuing the one they cancelled. Never mind my non payment that was actually paid, they also paid out a claim in December of the same year they claim I had a policy cancelled for "non payment" What they did is fraud and this company will openly and shamelessly slander you and your insurance bureau if you report anything to their ombudsman who is located "in a different building" and needs to "retreive your file" then never call you back. I won't get started on my endless headaches in dealing with my claim where they tried to force me to choose a body shop to do the repairs before getting multiple estimates. I was told even if I got a higher estimate that "they would choose the one with the lowest cost" not only is this against the law but it is highly unethical. The claims agent was confrontational, vindictive, and arrogant. The management staff were precisely the same. Contacted the CEO, no response at all. He couldn't be bothered to call or message back, probably too busy golfing with his useless senior management and laughing about how they screwed me. This company has no shame about committing fraud, violating provincial laws, and pretty much doing anything sleazy that they can to screw good people out of spite. Price you pay for going through their "hassle free complaints process" they will railroad you from getting new insurance, lie and falsify documents, and commit blatant fraud all in the name of "customer service" something this company claims to pride themselves on. Worst experience I have ever had with an insurer EVER! They'll probably threaten to sue me for defamation for posting this review every possible place I can find to post it. I recently bought a 2 year old truck at Strathmore Ford, that was MISTAKE number 1. They talked me into buying an extended warranty with Millennium Insurance for approximately $5,000.00 ,that was MISTAKE number 2. Within the first 8 weeks I had numerous break downs including ball joints, wheel alignment, replacement of front tires and 2 new batteries. All claims were denied because of Millenniums parameters. I would have thought that if your alignment and ball joints were bad enough to completely chew through a set of tires in one month, they should be fixed. Fast forward to Dec 22 2018 and I was on my way to TORONTO when the rear end blew in Thunder Bay. I had the truck towed to a Dodge dealership. The repair bill was $7,000.00 and they didn't deal with Millennium so I paid out of my own pocket. When I arrived at home, I forwarded the bill and many pictures to Millennium. Imagine my SURPRISE when finding out that they would only pay $2,000.00 out of my bill because they new of someone in Thunder Bay that would do the sam e job for that price. I thought I was fine with Millennium insurance until I had to make a claim when I was struck by another vehicle. You expect your insurance company to be on your side when you're not at fault but my insurance adjuster Dan T. was the absolute worst. First with the multiple emails to get a simple question about how to make a claim gets answered (first response was just a cut and paste form letter ). Then when I make a claim by scanning and sending them my receipts via email as suggested. It's rejected because "he can not fully print them off" So I go to the trouble of rescanning and resending in the receipts in a printable pdf format so he could easily print them. Once Dan T. received these he said I would only be paid if I mailed in the originals. When I frustratingly dared to ask why I had to jump through all these hoops with emails and scanned documents in the first place only to have send in the originals anyways he responded "My asking for scanned is so we are aware or can expect the originals to come in." If you want to be treated like a criminal ( Dan actually insinuated anyone not willing to do all this was likely trying to commit insurance fraud!) As though someone who is attempting to defraud their company by making a claim, then use Millenium. I'll be looking for a new provider as soon as this is resolved. I never want to deal with their "customer service" again. -Previously content customer for 5 years making first claim for $200. read more

I've been with Millennium ever since I moved to Calgary 6 years ago. There's no office in C-town, but that's no matter. Millennium folk are expedient and professional over the phone. Besides that, they were the cheapest rates I found at the time! Even cheaper than the employee discount offered at a competitor when I worked with ATCO. Thankfully, I haven't had need to file a claim with them in all of these years... and I hope never to have the need to do so. So I have no comment on how they deal with claims. But, my car insurance and home insurance are both through Millennium and I don't see myself changing that any time soon. They're but a quick phone call away and always helpful! read more

This is a terrible insurance company. I was t- boned by a driver. After dutifully paying my premiums for 11 years, they refused to contact me or do anything with my claim for over 1 and half years. Then finally when I switched insurance companies they said they could only give me 50/50. Then they said after the deductible the amount would be paid towards my loan. I received nothing!! I've been with MIllennium since moving back to Alberta. Actually I was with Morgex for a few years, then after shopping around found Millennium. They're cheaper than anyone. Every couple of years I'll check coverage at other firms, no-one is able to compete, not even close. We filed a claim (killed a deer; killed the car) a few years back and had nothing but good results. I was able to use a mobile device to take pictures of and email all the receipts back to our adjuster. Living in southern AB, I've never actually set foot in their office, but have always had prompt and courteous service. If you have a good driving record they offer the best service and their rates are second to none. read more

I have been with this insurance company since I have had insurance and they were great up until I got into my first collision. Unfortunately, I side swiped a parked car and was 100% liable. We tried to do a cash settlement however from my understanding, the owner of the hit vehicle did not proceed with a claim. Come time to renew my policy, my rates sky rocketed. When I called to ask why it was "Oh. You were liable for the accident you were in. Did you not receive a letter in the mail?" Unfortunately for them, I work at an independent insurance adjusters company and know that it is required to provide the insured with a liability letter. Still working on it! read more

Its true they are cheapest in the market - And GREAT when you PURCHASING the Insurance with them, They are efficient , Awesome when you are buying insurance, everything goes soo smooth when buying insurance BUT Wait till you have to claim something. They don't have their own adjuster, they send it to third party adjuster. townsend and leehand adjusters, Who are off on weekend, have one guy after hours, who will call you when he is available, so if you get in accident on Friday night or Saturday morning, you don't get the rental or any assistance till Monday , until the office open he says. he took all the information, but then i had to repeat/ tell everything to insurance and adjuster. Then the adjuster is behaving like she is other guy adjuster. I was at the yield sign and stop waiting for my turn. i was hit from behind on my 2 month old/Brand new accord 2013 - Cops showed up, did the report. My car went to repair. and i got rental. Today i got a call that i can pick my car up and I HAVE TO PAY the $500 DETUCTABLE, which they will reimburse, because the other insurance company cannot get hold of the guy who Hit me. WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY???? WHY CANT MY INSURANCE PAY FOR IT AND SETTLE WITH OTHER COMPANY. Isnt it what we pay them for all our life ??????????? me and wife are in pain, we are seeing physio and chairo, and i appraise my car, and its $10,000 less because of this accident. 2 month old car Drop $10,000 because of this. And what i gain ????????????????????????? They said, they wont pay me full value of the CAR SEAT that was in the car at the accident which i need to replace, because it Depreciate in value due to age and circumstances , WHAT ABOUT MY CAR, that depreciate $10,000 because of this accident. I wont sit quite. and better get the settlement for my loss and injuries. When your client is not at fault, why he has to suffer for all this and treated like i am dealing with other guy insurance. On top , millennium is no where to be found in picture, i deal with adjuster. when i call millennium, they said, adjuster handling your case, we cannot do anything. they better fix their third party adjuster, that when they are hired for millennium client, they should work with/for us, not against us. I WILL CHANGE MY REVIEW and GIVE THEM Thumbs UP, If they are able to sort out and help me with the rest of the claim, I hope they read this and contact me to sort out their mistakes. read more

I am from Saskatchewan and when I came to Alberta I hated shopping around for insurance as customer service in this province seems like a myth. Millennium is amazing...I reside in Leduc and use millennium even though they are in Sherwood park because they are that good. Amazing prices, great service and prompt. Good job peeps. read more

I've been with millennium many years. They've been great until I had to claim disability because of a car accident. The accident was April 28, I realized it was foolish to keep working as I was only injuring myself more and became "legally disabled" mid June. It is nearing the end of October and I have yet to receive a dime from them. Though they have nearly cancelled my policy twice due to non payment. How very kind considering they owe me now thousands in retroactive pay for disability. I have jumped through hoops, probably paid more then $500 in fees for papers that were needed and am still out almost $900 in chiro fees because my adjuster didn't understand how to read the receipts and had me do and redo (then redo again) "Tally sheets" which had all the exact information on it. I am still waiting and am considering getting legal advice. My credit is ruined, I've had major things go to collections, I haven't paid rent in 4 month and Im a single mom with two kids. I also have had 2 major family emergencies come up in the last week, both out of province and I cant go to my family because I have no gas to get there. I've dealt with Lori, the manager Kathy and a few others along the way. When I talked to the manager all she had to say was "The cheque writer is off until Tuesday". Very helpful. read more
