We had so much fun while taking our family vacation in Vancouver. We loved that all of the MV's are originals, not the kind with just lyrics and black/random backgrounds. One of my annual activities with my cousins is to go to sing some karaoke. As we've grown up, our music tastes are vastly different. Some of us sing in Chinese, some in Japanese, some in English and some in Korean. We made a reservation for their Sunday all you can sing (because it was suggested on their website) and it was $12/person from 2pm-7pm and there was no minimum food and drink charge for that day and time. Overall, the experience was ok but we've been to better. I only go once a year (twice at most) so I'm not familiar with karaoke search pads but for this one, the staff told us that you had to search by the first letter of the song name (ie. Happy birthday was found by entering 'HB'). We attempted this a few times with some of the songs and it was a big hit or miss. There were a lack of recent songs despite their big "We're #1" banner on the outside. Not sure what makes a karaoke place number 1 but either the banner needs to be updated or there needs to be a more written out criteria for what they got first place in. For the korean singers, BTS is a big trending band but it didn't seem like they had many songs under the band name. In terms of Japanese songs, we much preferred K-fever. There were a LOT more variety at that one. And I remember at certain karaoke places, you're able to change the key of the songs or even the mic volume but you couldn't do either at this place. To be honest, I don't really sing much so I don't have many experiences to compare this place with but in general, it was okay. It's a fairly big facility with several karaoke rooms of various sizes. In the middle, there are tables and a bar so you can just eat or drink if you please. There's also a large TV to watch sports games and two electronic dart boards. I don't really remember the prices but it was around $42 for the 10 of us when we arrived there almost at midnight. The song selection was decent but it was a bit hard for people to get a turn to sing since there are only two mics (which is the norm though!) Since my friend wanted to take shots for our friend's farewell, he decided to order some vodka. However, we found out that if even just one person orders alcohol, there will be a minimum charge of $10 per person. This rule was a bit strange so they ended up over ordering alcohol and I believe it turned out quite expensive (I'm not sure what the final bill was because I left a couple hours early) Anyways, it seemed like everybody who sang had a good time and the location is pretty central so I guess it remains as one of Richmond's more popular karaoke bars! Super rude staff. Didn't feel welcomed at all. Why do they require masks when the staff doesn't bother to wear them? My friends and I were talking and they were eavesdropping and wanted to intrude. If you love to sing but too embarrass to do it in front of others, this is the place to get your 'Glee' on! I have only been here in the afternoon as they have 'All You Can Sing' from 2-7pm from Monday to Thursday for $10 per person, slightly more for Friday to Sunday. We enjoy the privacy in the rooms to sing our CantoPop songs, there are a great selection of Cantonese, Mandarin and English songs. Some old titles if you are nostalgic or new titles from current singers. If you are looking for certain artist, just write down the name and song and the staff will check if their supplier will have it and it will be there next time you come. There are wireless microphones with disposable covers to protect you. Free Wifi to tweet your photos out. They have just installed some Dart Machines in the lounge, plus they will have the game on the large TV. I think they also show the UFC Great place to spend a few hours a week!! read more

The location of this karaoke bar is quite convenient - right on Road 3. It was really quiet for a Friday night. We did get there at 7:30 pm. Perhaps we were early? Friday night: They charge $28/hour for the first hour; by the minute after the first hour - works out to be $0.45/minute. There is also a $10/head charge for those who do not order a drink. We assumed she meant an alcoholic drink. The girls at the counter were friendly. We were ushered into a fairly small room. It was probably sufficient for any other group of 4, but we were the get-up-and-dance type. So, that room became smaller and smaller as the night progressed. English Songs were filed under "Foreign Artists"... We can all see where this is going. The song list for every artist (old and new) was very limited. We couldn't even find ABBA's Mamma Mia! Diana Ross wasn't even on their list of "foreign artists". Current artists like Robin Thicke had one or two tracks - no Blurred Lines! We were so disappointed. But, we did find some good songs to last us two hours in that room. They were nice enough to waive the $10 charge as we only stayed 10 minutes past 9:00 pm. ***VISA is accepted here! Really bad sound and poor service. Tiny rooms that are basically concrete cells, which produces too much echo. Microphones have too much reverb so it sounds like you're singing down a well. Couldn't make the pitch control work and the staff didn't know how to help us with that. When we were there, there was only one other group using the service. Despite there being lots of rooms, the staff put that other group in the room right next to us, so we kept having to drown out the sound of the other customers. Men's washroom had a urinal that had, at one point, been smashed, so they had just roughly glued it back together. That tells us that this business isn't doing very well. Could be a good service and thriving business if they tended to some of these key issues. read more

It's my favourite place to wind down and relax, plenty of songs, friendly staff, u gotta try the fried rice with steak, spicy wonton, poutine fries!!! I've been going to karaoke since I was 15, and by far this is my favorite place to go. I love their chicken fried rice, chicken wings and the cheap alcohol (I know, but compared to everywhere else it's very reasonably priced), great for wedding/bday after parties or just to sing karaoke. We came here for the cheap weekday afternoon prices, $10/person, all you can sing. The room we had had some kind of liquid splashed on the wall and it looked like it had been there for some time. We had to get service twice about our microphone not working (no more battery and sound was too quiet). AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! I will never come back! I love karaoke and this was by far the worst place I have ever been to. When we arrived we were informed that there was a minimum charge of $10 per person for food and drink. We agreed to this thinking that if we are paying around $60 for 1 hour for 3 people the room must be amazing! We were then lead to a tiny room (approximately 5×8 feet) furnished with two benches, a table and the karaoke machine. There was a good selection of songs but you can't change the pitch or fast forward through the instrumentals. The songs also had different volumes and some of the songs made me think that they must have downloaded a ripped version of the song off of a free website. Food selection was limited. Drinks were overpriced. If you wanted non-alcohlic drinks you are looking at paying $2-$3 for hot water and lemon or hot water and lemon and honey, etc. There is no automatic stop when the hour is up and you are charged for every minute you are there. This means that you will be charged for the time you pack up your stuff and walk to the register so you can rake up a huge bill very easily. Finally, be careful when you hand your money to the attendant because we were shortchanged. So the long and short of it is DON'T GO. read more

This was my first time visiting a Karaoke bar so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. We had our own room and the food wasn't bad. The service was quick and the song selection was decent. There were 7 of us and we had good time. Just remember what time you enter because you are charged by the hour. It is easy to forget the time. Only con with this place is that the hostess who took us to our room didn't explain how to use the Karaoke machine, so we wasted a lot of time trying to figure how it worked. read more
