I haven't been to Moxie's in a long while and it used to be one of my favorite places for gatherings. I went recently for an anniversary and was amazed by the lack of service they had considering that they're an established restaurant chain. Firstly, aside from providing a high chair for my toddler, they did not provide anything else. I've been to other smaller restaurants and things such as children utensils, bibs, drawing paper, etc., were provided. Good thing i was prepared. The steak and Frites from the HH menu was over cooked. We asked for medium rare and it was close to a well done. Didn't see no pink parts inside and as a result it was quite hard and chewy. After delivering the food, the server didn't even ask whether we needed anything such as black pepper for my clam chowder. She was then MIA for the rest of our meal. It also appeared that she was the only server when it was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon? Throughout the meal, I waved my hand a couple of times and no one came. I don't know whether the staff lacked customer training or what but they did not bother looking around the restaurant to see who needs help. I ended up getting my own napkins from the washroom. When it was time to pay, the server couldn't be waved down so i told the hostess for the bill. Waited 15 minutes and no bill came so i told the hostess again. She was surprised the bill didn't come so she went to tell the server again. Waited another 10 minutes and i was fed up so I went up to the hostess and asked to pay right now up front. She responded oh i already told the server. After waiting another 5 minutes the server finally came and gave me the bill. Funny to see how the lowest tip option on the machine was 18% when there was ZERO service. LMAO.

An awesome laid back spot for casual eats! They currently have a $5 expresso martini deal so RUN don't walk! Our server was very patient with us and super helpful with describing the menu. I got the mini ahi tuna tacos, and yes they were incredibly fun sized. The tuna was amazing quality and I don't know what it is about the sauce they use but it was delicious. They also have a massive nachos platter that you can't go wrong with, It's so good when you add shredded chicken.

Moxie has always been a great restaurant. At its Bridgeport location, the atmosphere was relaxing and service was excellent. The price on the menu has always been good. Their Happy Hour menu has good choices, and makes it easier to have a few bites with friends.

3.5 stars ! There is a high emphasis on Customer Service. We are here 2 days in a row and both times the servers were friendly & attentive but not overbearing. Unfortunately, both times we did have a slight issue. But both times it was corrected and they were happy to do. First Night we ordered the guacamole to share. I had the chicken potstickers my husband had a burger. The guacamole wasn't quite right. It was a weird color and made with avocados That's were not ripe enough or Something. We showed her and she agreed it looked off. She offered to replace it with another one, but instead we decided to get a dessert which was the same price. We had the brownie with caramel sauce ice cream and whipped cream. It was delicious. My chicken lettuce wraps were good, however it was a bit too saucy, which made the crispy noodles a bit too soggy. It also had big chunks zucchini in it which I wasn't used to. I picked them out, and Ate them separately. My husband loved his burger - so that was a win! so the first night we also got treated to a $10 gift certificate as well

Very nice restaurant. We were seated pretty quick for the restaurant being busy. Food and services is good. 4 star because I asked for Bloody Mary and they say they don't make it and then I decided to order blended margarita and unfortunately they don't make blended margaritas also. So I didn't order any alcoholic drinks. Overall it's was good.

This place is nice by the hotel! Clean, spacious, polite attendants and servers. It was not crazy busy for a friday night. Sat at the bar and there's plenty of chairs. Found and watched the game I was looking for Canucks-Oilers! I ordered a cheeseburger, fries, and a Stella. Decent price, about $20 for the burger, its fresh off the grill, crispy veggies as u can see in the pic, hot bread. It was perfect and not sloppily made! The fries is ok. A little soft. I like it slightly golden crispy, like in McDonalds, but its not a deal breaker. I didnt have to ask for ketchup, there was a serving with it. Love that theres enough napkins. Front desk smiled and greeted me as I walked out. There's plenty of parking outside and in front! I will come back and watch a game here. Would love to try the steak! Recommended!

For Saturday brunch time, the restaurant was quite quiet. A nice break from the hustle and bustle from my usual brunch place (WhiteSpot). The dinning room is very roomy and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was okay. Unfortunately it seemed like the food was precooked and under a heat lamp until someone ordered it. Free three hours of parking. Remember to register your vehicle plates at the restaurant host/ess desk.

First time trying Moxie's and it was a good experience. My partner goes to Moxies often for special occasions and unfortunately noted that the salmon portion they give you for the salad has gotten smaller. However, the salad was pretty good and aside from salmon portion, I have no complaints. We both loved their Tiny Tuna Tacos and would have ordered more to have it as a dinner dish instead! We also ordered their Bacon Cheeseburger which was okay - nothing special about it that stood out to us. Moving onto the drink... We tried their Skinny Mango Margarita as recommended by the waiter hoping it would be on the sweeter side, but was dead wrong. We had to ask the waitress 3 times to add more sweetness to it (my partner likes sweet drinks) which she ended up telling us she'll have the bartender make another one in a tall glass instead (I guess to add more mango juice). Not the greatest drink to try in our opinion, but apparently it's a popular ordered drink according to the waitress!

First time trying Moxie's! Totally nice experience! Good service with awesome food. We ordered Nachos for share and the portion is huge! And I tried the beyond meat burger and it's totally delicious and unforgettable! Drinks name are funny. I choose the " sorry not sorry "...

Churro dessert!
Katherine D.

The steak frites is one of the best steaks on the menu for the taste, quality, and price!!! I will also have to recommend the churro dessert as well since it's to die for !

Had the honour of having a chef led menu that was absolutely an experience!! Gordon Ramsay steak…read morewas part of an auction item for Arthritis Canada- and wow did they deliver an experience! From the moment we arrived it was a very special experience! Seated with friends in a beautiful alcove with a view of the River. The menu was greatly anticipated. From the welcome to the bread course- oh my goodness can I have bone marrow butter every day?!? It was a feast for the eyes and palate! Lobster and scallop dish with french bubbles, wagyu tartar with a beautiful French Pinot from Burgandy, a clementine palate cleanser that I may dream about. But the show stopper- the A5 wagyu?!? The absolute best ever- we have been disappointed so many times with so called wagyu- this was the real deal- cooked to perfection! And my husband would have eaten the sauce with a spoon!!!! Another fabulous red. Dessert was a magic apple looking Black Forest cake! I am forgetting parts- but the meal and experience was extraordinary! Highly recommend! Add this to your list of places to eat for a wonderful experience. Definitely choose the dining room! Or the patio if the weather is nice!!!

To be honest - I am bit torn writing this review after going with my best friend for a celebration…read more I am not a big fan of the sales tactic of making a table order drinks - when they seat you they give you the drink menu and say "your food menu will come soon". The problem is ... we were then sitting awkwardly at our table for about 8-13 minutes before we were then given the food menu. We did note that tactic was used for all tables as that must be their servicing house rules and not server specific. While we did order drinks we enjoy them ~with~ our food, they also took awhile to come. You check in at the front and there is a small dining section than mirrored hallway walk to the bigger dining section where you can see the kitchen. I found the plates cheap looking in nature. It didn't match the aesthetic and prestige that this restaurant is trying to uphold. Feels very disconnected in nature. On to the dishes/drinks ordered: Warm bread: expensive at $9. Passable but I imagine people order this while drinking so an easy order for the table. Pork belly: this is S W E E T. While the menu noted it is made with a black cherry gastrique we underestimated how thick and sweet this would be (we had both had pork chop/duck entrees that had or featured a cherry demi glace). It covered the entirety of the tender pork belly and made it unappetizing to us both because of the dessert heavy flavouring was so overpowering. It felt like it was missing the acid/vinegar component to offset the sweetness. When our server checked in with us we were honest with our feedback and he then got the house manager involved and was able to "switch" out the appetizer. They both had recommended the risotto so we went with that in replacement. Risotto: good flavour but even for an appetizer I think it is alarmingly small for the price point. I think the risotto could be offered with a protein and be successful as its own spot for an entree. Roasted beef Wellington (comes with 2 sides glazed root vegetables and potato puree) - this was the main reason and excitement drawing us to this restaurant. It was cooked amazingly. Beautifully tender. Vegetables were just roasted carrots - they were fine but we thought there'd be more of a variety. Potato puree - also fine. Mac & cheese: forgettable. Not sure why there were green peppers in it. Brussel sprouts: good addition. Sticky toffee pudding: great for its sweetness. If I ordered again I would ask for the sauce on the side. Notes from Gordon: tasted very floral and perfume like. I found the presentation a bit too "casual" for $20 A diving bell: spicier than we had thought but it was fine. There were a lot of serves/bussers around and we could tell the restaurant was not particularly busy and because we were seated right beside the kitchen it just felt awkward being around groups of talking staff. This was especially amplified when we had empty plates/drinks to be removed and water glasses that could use refilling but neither were being tended to. One busser served us from the right side moving our lamp out of the way, with her thumb in the veggie bowl and when famously should be done by the left and because we were sitting the closest to the kitchen it felt lazy to serve across us and move the lamp than to come on the "freer" side of the table. Bussers were also not ... pleasant or welcoming? So while we had good service from our server and house server it felt uneven when others were delivering all the dishes monotonously. This did not hit the mark for us at a $325~ dining experience. It left us underwhelmed.
