But for $600.00, if I bought a toilet, they would install it. OR for $1100.00 they would provide the toilet and install it. He was unable to unclog the toilet and was charged $310.00. Overpriced, upselling their services made me feel taken advantage of. Never again. I bought a new toilet and put it in myself. Yeah, it took time but now this 72 y.o. Knows how to replace a toilet.

They sent out a Claim Adjuster who decided to hire Sleuth to find out where the water was coming from Sleuth sent Jason to my home and he used space-age detection equipment to try and find the leak. His equipment did determine there was water under my floor, but he couldn't trace where it was coming from. He ran two loads of the dishwasher, turned my AC to 70 degrees so it would work hard, and ran the kitchen faucet for 30 minutes. Further investigation turned up some dishwasher insulation with water stains, but it was dry so Jason could not confirm it was the cause of the leak. He did say that sometimes on older washers the Leakage from a bad seal can come and go. Even though his report was inconclusive, Jason did everything he could to pinpoint the leak short of tearing up the floor.

Instead of working toward resolving concerns, the process felt frustrating and unnecessarily difficult. Basic follow-up and customer care seemed to be lacking, which made what should have been a straightforward interaction much more stressful than it needed to be. Customer service is a major part of any construction project, and unfortunately my experience with Abbot Construction's customer relations fell well below expectations. I had reported this to Walt in a text, his response was if I wanted it replanted. The issue here was the spot where the tree was, there was no reason for it to be removed. After the job was done Walt mentioned that according to the proposal, if it was in the area of the drainage, it would be removed. The damn tree was 6 feet away from the digging area. I had 2 other trees in the same area and nothing was done to them. The workers decided to rip the tree out and take the route of the ditch versus the road in front where it was completely clear. The sad part is there were no apologies what so ever or reimbursement ($250.00) for the tree. I should have gone with Martin Septic.

He performed an assessment, and got to work. He took care of the problem (cleaned the line), ran water, flushed toilets and checked multiple times inside & out before wrapping up. I certainly don't ever enjoy paying a plumber and esp for an emergency call but when you need one, you need one and I wouldn't hesitate to ever use them again. I'm also a realtor and will absolutely put them at the top of my preferred vendor list.
