The only issue I had was that it was a little messy to eat and everytime I took a bite meatballs would fall out. We also had a Zinger Mountain Melt and it was delicious as always, along with a side salad and French onion soup which was delish. Unfortunately, this location continues to fall short for us. We've given it several chances because it's practically in our backyard and would be such a convenient spot for a casual family meal, but this most recent visit was another disappointing experience. The restaurant was very busy, and our waiter was clearly juggling a lot of tables. Despite that, he remained pretty friendly, which I appreciated. Food understandably took a while to come out, so we ordered drinks while waiting. The beer was perfectly fine, but the mixed drinks were a completely different story. Between my mother and me, we tried three different mixed drinks, and all three were sent back. I specifically asked for something that wasn't overly syrupy or at least to go light on the syrup, but each drink tasted overwhelmingly like syrup and juice. Since these drinks presumably aren't premixed, I'm not sure where the disconnect happened, but after three attempts we gave up. Unfortunately, things didn't improve once the food arrived. Several parts of our orders were incorrect, some of the food wasn't hot, and the issues continued throughout the meal. The manager did come by our table twice, so I appreciate that there was at least an attempt to address everything. By that point, though, I had just finished an extremely long shift and was exhausted, so I eventually left the rest of my family inside and waited in the car. I could understand one rough visit, especially on a busy day, but this unfortunately hasn't been an isolated experience for us at this location. Every time we give it another chance, something seems to fall short. I genuinely wish this location were more consistent because we would absolutely frequent it given how close and convenient it is. Better quality control on food leaving the kitchen, more attention to order accuracy, and some consistency behind the bar would make a huge difference. I love millers ! After a long day I decided to stop in an enjoy a few of my favorite menu items. I ordered mozzarella cheese sticks and took half to go as my daughter loves them so much . We ordered the fried jalapeños and were served deep-fried jarred jalapeños--mushy, overly salty, and honestly just bad. It's not that hard to make fresh ones, so this felt lazy. The restaurant was freezing inside--uncomfortably cold--which made it hard to relax and enjoy anything. My husband got a fish sandwich, took a few bites, and pushed it aside. In the quickly growing Lake Nona area you'll find this ale house in a convenient and large parking lot. My daughter and I have enjoyed mountain melts and calamari from other locations and this was no exception. The zingers, friend chicken tenders come with a dozen or so sauces, you can even combine the sauces when you order. The mountain melt is a great appetizer for a large group or a wonderful meal for 2-3 people for around $20 being a generous serving of fries topped with chicken tenders, cheese, bacon if you want and your favorite sauce or sauces. The calamari is always a tasty choice being hot, fresh, and crispy with its own seasoning in the batter. Out of the dozen times we got calamari from this spot there was one time it was a little salty and they replaced it with a better one. The service is pretty fast and friendly in seating and attending and the food usually arrives more quickly than expected with house busy this place gets sometimes. Terrible experience at Miller's Ale House Lake Nona. We arrived at 11:10 AM on a Saturday with a party of 14, only to be told we had to wait 30 minutes because full staff wouldn't be in until 11:30 AM--yet a party of 20 ahead of us was seated immediately. When we asked the general manager, he gave a completely different story, saying staff wouldn't actually be in until noon. To make things worse, we were left standing for half an hour when they could have at least seated us. Instead, a few staff members just stood in the back, watching us wait. Why open at 11:00 AM if you don't have enough staff for another hour? With a large soccer tournament in the area, they should have been better prepared. Poor planning, inconsistent information, and terrible customer service. Wouldn't recommend the Lake Nona location if you expect reliability or even basic hospitality. read more
