Nona social is always one of my fav go to spots. When you walk in it's small but very casual, very welcoming. Today we ordered Mozzarella Sticks, the Nona Melt, Pub Buger, and a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. The cheese sticks were yummy and the sauce was the perfect combo. The Nona Melt was cooked as ordered and juicy as well as the Pub Burger. The Buffalo sandwich was tender and saucy. The only issue was that they use to make hand cut fries and now you can tell they use frozen. Also the ranch was homemade and now it's from a bottle but other than that the meal was good. read more

This place is perfect for a post work drink or even a little catch up with the girls. The only downside is that it seems the place is super popular so beware of how crowded it can get. The service is pretty decent here, they have a full bar with wine and can options as well. They also have cocktails and specialty shots you can try. I have been here a few times to say the wine pricing is pretty standard and so are the cocktails. I am a pickle girl and the bartender made me a pickle martini that was super yummy. This place is chill and laid back with darts and other games in the back towards the bathrooms. If it wasn't as busy I would be coming here more often but if you like to catch the game or have an earlier drink before the craziness, I'd say check this place out. read more

I visited Nona Social Bar & Kitchen to catch up with a friend over drinks and appetizers. The drinks were excellent--I had an Old Fashioned, and it was made perfectly. No complaints there! The appetizer, however, were a different story. It took over two hours for it to arrive. Apparently, there was a shift change, and our order never got submitted. The staff was kind and eventually comped the app, which I appreciated, but the delay definitely affected the experience. If you're looking for a last resort for drinks, this is your place. It's very dark, smelly and bartenders with the worst attitudes in town. Upon arrival, the bar was littered with glasses of people who maybe had just left. Didn't want to get too close because of the wasted alcohol on the bar. I asked a female server if I could get the area clean, she responded sure then walked off for about 5 minutes. Another woman came after the wait on the previous one and cleaned the bar for me to get seated. I thought the service would get better but it didn't. The music was all Latin and way too loud. Management should definitely consider sending in shoppers to experience the service being provided. It's horrible. read more

There aren't many options around the lake Nona area for a late night bar but then I came across this spot. One of the pros for this location is that it is one of the only late night spots around that side of town. If you're going for a drink, maybe I would recommend this place. But it was extremely busy on a Friday night- which is expected but they didn't have servers they were short staffed and the food wasn't that great. It did come out to us quickly but the fries were soggy and the drinks were just ok. Kinda bummed out about that! When I first moved here, I did not care for this bar. But now it has become my go to spot to watch sports. They have plenty of TVs and are very accommodating to fans who want to watch different football games. I am a Detroit fan, so anytime that a bar is willing to find my game and put it on one of the TVs for me, is amazing. The two times I have eaten here, I had the fish tacos which were very good. But the picture below were the garlic parmesan tenders, and let me just say WOW!!! You have to try these. I love anything I can dip in ranch and these were some of the best I have ever had. The bar tenders are very attentive and friendly and they get to know their patrons which is nice to see. I will continue to come back here to check out Michigan sports. Cute local bar with better food than I expected! The carnitas tostones were fantastic - highly recommend. We split this as an appetizer but it could have easily been a meal. One of us avoids dairy and the other couldn't do spicy, but the staff was so accommodating to give us cheese on the side and no peppers. It's not a big place, so depending on timing, it can be tricky to find a table, especially on weekends or when they have trivia, etc. We opted to sit at the bar and had no trouble getting food. Great local bar in Lake Nona. I have visited a few times in the last month and have always had positive experiences. The wait staff is very friendly and was attentive to our table. The first time I went, I was not sure if it was a self-seating location or if we had to wait to be seated. They have a live DJ which adds to a great time during the evening hours. What an amazing little local bar located in Lake Nona! I came in on a Sunday night to get a few drinks and some food. I got a Tito's Strawberry Lemonade Spritzer to drink and it was sooooo good! They have a full bar so they have liquor, beer and wine! To eat I got a Cubano with sweet potato fries and the sweet potato fries came with a honey mustard which wasn't a good pair in my opinion but HEY after a few drinks it doesn't matter! I love the set up of the bar/restaurant inside. There is one gaint bar inside and you can sit around it and on the side are a few high top tables for groups to sit at! Everytime I've been here, im always greeted by the bar staff when I first walk in and tonight was no different! On Saturdays and sundays (I think) they have live music, I can't remember what days I was there in the past where they played live music! This local neighborhood bar sits in a shopping center with an unassuming facade. We used to come here when it was the Nona Taproom. This was my fist time back after the remodel, name and owner. The atmosphere was comfortable and warm when we walked in, with high top tables (only) and a large bar that sits in the center providing seating all the way around. The bar has a large selection of mixed drinks, good beer and decent wine selection. The food menu had a little something for everyone, though not large. I ordered the Cubano -Cuban baguette, carnitas, bolo ham, swiss cheese, mustard dill pickle and fries for $11.50. This sandwich was beyond my expectations. Mouth watering delicious. Don't me started on the fries. They were addictive. I will come back here time and time again just to order this meal. My husband ordered the Shrimp Po Boy blackened on Cuban baguette, shrimp lettuce, tomato, onions, tarter, and slaw for $13.50. He didn't dislike, it but wasn't jumping over the moon either. He was much happier helping me finish my fat sandwich. Service was good and the bartender was very friendly and checked on us often. The only thing I would recommend to management is that they clean the ceiling vents. Nothing grosses me out more than to see return vents caked with dust and grime. Nona social is a Lake Nona classic. Great bar eats and a nice place to come and watch sports and catch up with friends. The place can feel a little tight at times and with the servers also being bartenders behind the bar, they could go missing for a few, so order quick or make sure you able to get there attention. Overall a good bar espcially during trivia evenings which i believe is Wednesday. I did a Yelp search on our way back from NASA to Disney for places to eat due to derailing children. I called and asked if they could accommodate the five of us on a Friday night when most places were on an hour wait. The staff took pity on us and reserved us a table as we were in route! The staff was very welcoming and it was self-seat. They were serving brunch, and you may want to note that they do not offer their regular menu at this time, only the brunch menu. There are tons of delicious items on the brunch menu though! I had the chicken and waffle sliders, and I recommend those! Super good. Realistic review is a 4.8**** My experience is based on Wednesdays and we really enjoy this place!! We've sort of became "regulars" now and we come about two times a month for Dirty Bingo on Wednesdays. Just a disclaimer: if you're sensitive to dark humor and get easily offended don't attend. I personally don't have an issue, the host is super hilarious and you'll hear a lot of "dirty jokes" and get a good laugh. Bingo is from 9 PM to 11 PM. Make sure you arrive early cause it gets full! The bartenders are really nice, they make sure you are taken care of. It's one of the few places in the area that is open until 2 AM. A downside is the kitchen closes somewhere around 8:45 PM so you'll have to pull up to Wendy's after hours. While the kitchen IS open they have great Mozzarella Sticks and their Jalapeño Mac & cheese is BOMB. read more
