Ultimate crab feast- there's crab legs under all of that

We went last week as a family of 12. My brother's fiancé is not from the area and had chickies crab fries for the first time and fell in love. Our waitress I think her name was Samantha. Did an amazing job. She also has a few other tables going at the same time and still manages to make sure we weekend well taken care of.

The Roosevelt Blvd location is my favorite one of all because the atmosphere is always positive and fun. Other patrons during game day will not disappoint you. You will cheer & boo like you're at the event! Service with a smile. My server Mick was very attentive and answered all questions. The food is good and not just seafood! And I love seafood. Drink specials for Eagles games are delicious as well. I'll be back!

Food was great, but this must be a new waitress. Did not keep on us how was everything or if we needed anything. Went missing for a long time.

Apparently I am the last person in Philadelphia to eat at Chickie's & Pete's. Yes, I have known about them forever but honestly I never understood why people were flipping out over French fries with Old Bay on them. Isn't it a given that fries would taste better with Old Bay? And the amazing cheese sauce.....uhhh okay...again, not a revelation. In any event I was with a birthday celebration crowd and this was their preferred destination. Crab fries for the table of course! Fries were crispy as they should be. We also got some mussels for table (note: they are not really meant for sharing). The red sauce they came in was pretty good. A little spicy and a tiny bit sweet. For entrees, one person got the wings and surprisingly the rest of us ordered the crab cake platter. I tasted a wing and while they were fried nice and crispy something about the buffalo sauce was off. Could not put my finger on it but definitely not traditional buffalo. As for the crab cakes, the presentation was nice. Three little cakes on a bed of dressed lettuces and a swirling of some kind of spicy aioli. Here is the thing though. When I look at and think of a good crab cake the first thing I want to see is a nicely browned top and second a moist crabby interior. These cakes presented blonde on the outside as if they were not cooked enough and the inside was fluffy and rather dry. I saw and tasted crab but the texture was not right. There are many ways a crab cake can fail my expectations and unfortunately these did. We were seated quickly because it was pretty empty at 4 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon and our server did an amazing job considering some people in my party constantly requesting items. I would give Chickie's another go just for the mussels and clams.

If zero stars was an option I'd give it. Food here is meant for people who are looking to get drunk and don't care how the food actually tastes. So greasy, tasteless, ordered iced tea also which tasted terrible. Strange smell like stale beer as soon as you enter the restaurant- not a good start to the dinner. Get seated pretty quickly so that was good but as we walked through, the floors were sticky and there was trash on the floor. Kinda already had low expectations from the beginning seeing how the restaurant wasn't kept up cleanliness wise. Waitress was super friendly though- probably the highlight to the trip. Wish I knew her name otherwise I'd rave about her here. My mom ordered a ton of things to try amongst 4 people in my party. We had nachos, chicken wings bone in and bone out, cheese steak, chicken fingers with fries and sweet potato fries. Our table was covered with food- it looked a lot better than it tasted and most of it was boxed up and given to our dogs or thrown in the trash. My mom had gift cards so it wasn't like her money being spent- but the food was just plain bad gross. Nachos were greasy and chips were soggy. Cheese steak was inedible- my daughter who loves cheese steaks barely touched it- bad sign. Chicken wings had no meat and tasted blah. Best thing was the chicken fingers and the chickpea fries with the cheese dip. Glad I ate before I came to lunch cause the food was disgusting and disappointing. A plus at the end of the crappy meal was the desserts that tasted like they were made from somewhere else and actually tasted good. This was my last time coming here, the last time I came I had a similar experience. This restaurant is not for me.

Came to this location a few time. Service was alright. Restaurant is clean. Decent parking lot. Food was not bad. I tried their mussels, lobster cheesesteak, lobster pizza, etc before. I revisited today because of their $2 crab fries deal. It wasn't hot and crunchy enough. After ordering crab fries take out twice, I should just stick with dine in instead. P.S. I just found out today that they don't serve oysters anymore.

The food was alright, I saw some Yelp reviews and pictures of the food and I decided to get the lobster cheesesteak based on the picture of someone else who got it, but I will say one thing. They used to be better. Now everything changed and the food doesn't taste that good anymore. Yesterday me and my bf went to grab some food and he got the lobster pizza and I got the lobster cheesesteak. Not going to lie but when I was eating the lobster sandwich the lobster itself tasted really rubbery and wasn't soft or tasted like a lobster. Afterwards it made my stomach hurt twice and I felt really sick. My bf said before they used to chop the lobster pieces and sprinkles it all over the pizza but this time they just put huge chunks of it on each slice of pizza and he said that his also tasted rubbery and not good. We wouldn't recommend getting that item on the menu. Other than that, the service was good and we didn't have to wait hours to get our food. I also want to add that I'm not sure why but when my boyfriend got a cocktail his and my iced tea drink felt so watered down, like it didn't have no taste at all. They should stop doing that lmao.

I didn't have the pleasure of visiting Dog & Bull before it was renovated, but I visited last night and can't wait to return. My friend and I made a reservation for 5:30 PM (just in case) as we read online that reservations were recommended, but I don't actually think one was needed. When you walk in, it's bright and inviting. The garage doors throughout the property provide a ton of natural light. I can only imagine how lovely it is when they're open in the summer. Additionally, the outside has a nice patio and an area with a fire pit. The restaurant's layout was designed wonderfully! Our server was Alex (Alexandria) and she was the epitome of exceptional service. She checked in on us multiple times and always had a smile on her face when she came over. We really appreciated having her. The baked feta and hummus appetizer was just as delicious as it looks in the photo. The thick pieces of garlic, roasted red peppers, olives, cucumbers and pita bread triangles paired so nicely with the feta. The hummus was warmed up and it looked like the kitchen staff may have torched the top of it. It was phenomenal. Boy do I have notes on the lentil burger - it was 10/10!! I'm not a big bean person and even though this burger had beans in it, it somehow tasted like an actual beef burger. Sounds crazy, I know, but trust and believe it was pure excellence. I added cheddar for an additional charge and upgraded my regular fries to garlic parm fries. Finally, the caramel apple bread pudding... oh my oh my! What a DELIGHT. The top was piled high with a big scoop of frosting. Yes, you read that right. Frosting! Not ice cream! You can taste the apple pieces in the bread pudding. My friend and I wanted to order it twice. It was THAT good. It was easy to make my way to Dog & Bull from Center City thanks to the Septa station located directly behind the restaurant. Street parking also wasn't too bad yesterday. I absolutely loved the experience I had here and will be stopping by again this summer! Thanks, Dog & Bull!

The floor in the main dinning room is pulling apart and is duct taped together. The chairs and tables are flimsy and falling apart. I asked for a blood orange margarita as it was the special of the day. It was not drinkable. It was some sort of powder or mix that was so sour and overly sweet. It did not have any tequila in it. I literally took one sip and left it there. The cheesesteak was good on a seeded roll. It was ribeye and it was done well. Hence tge two stars. The bbq platter had brisket, pulled chicken, ribs, corn and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was the best thing on the platter. The pulled chicken was sitting in a bowl of grease. The brisket was big globs of fat. The ribs were okay. They put a tiny line of sauce on each item. The service was rushed and spotty. I had heard good things, so we decided to give it a try. Very disappointed. There are so many good places around this area now, there is no need to go here again.
