Miller's Flowers is deeply ingrained in downtown Racine's history. The family-owned business has been operating for over 100 years (since 1908 in fact!) Mark and Hilary are the sweetest couple around and are so very knowledgeable about everything to do about flowers - bouquets and potted plants alike. I, myself, am a plant killer. I specifically told them about my plant-taking-care-of history/abilities and Hilary walked me around the shop and educated me on the really hearty plants that I *probably* can't kill. I settled on a beautiful rubber tree plant with pink leaves that I will attempt, my very hardest, to keep alive. Old-school style, great and personal with customers, they provide a friendly atmosphere that helps to give comfort in times of loss and joy in times of celebration. Let's just say what a disappointment this turned out to be. My daughter just had to have a fresh flower corsage for the father daughter Girl Scout dance. Miller Flowers came highly recommended and seemed nice enough when we went to order. Problems started when I went to pick up the boutonnière and corsage. I waited 5 minutes while one employee swept the floor, another actually worked on flowers and a third chatted on the phone. Eventually I was helped and the lady stated don't take the flowers out of the box until your at the event as the cold will ruin them. I never let the flowers get cold as I went straight to my warm truck and then straight into the house with them. I warmed my truck up before going to the father daughter dance. My daughter put on the corsage and within 5 minutes one of the flowers had crumbled and the others were wilting. My daughter = devastated, she cried for 30 minutes and then was sullen for the rest of the evening. read more

The charge will show up on your credit card. If you call the store to dispute the charge, the man who answers the phone will be extremely rude and will say "there's nothing he can do to help." He uses the FTD logo, but when you call FTD for assistance/reimbursement they will tell you he is not affiliated with FTD. read more

After using practically every single florist in a 10-12 mile radius, I stopped in at Miller's on a whim about a year ago after being frustrated with sub-par work (and crazy shop owners) at every other place in town. I should stop and say that in my line of work, we can have a need to use a florist services quite frequently. And, because they are 99% of the time for condolences, I really have very high standards -- more so, than say, if they were for birthdays or something. Anyway, after I used Miller's the first time, I received really great feedback about how beautiful the flowers were and how special the arrangement was. And since then, I've gotten really positive reviews of their work every time we've used them. The staff there is very helpful and I usually just say "Do whatever you think is best -- here is my budget" and they are able to create something that is both a great value and visually beautiful. Like I said, I went to a whole slew of places before trying Miller's, and they really do the best work, in my opinion, in the area. read more
