My fiancé purchased a vintage diamond and brought it to Miller's to have it set for me. He presented a few ideas and sought the advice from the Miller's team in designing an heirloom piece for me. He proposed in March and I wore it out only on special occasions (I work with my hands) and by November, I noticed a large chip in my stone. We went in to the store in person to have the ring evaluated for structural issues and discuss potential solutions. The floor rep seemed very surprised at the setting, claiming the stone was too thin to be set in this manner. The issue was brought to the owner, who blew us off. They offered to start over and reset the stone in a more secure setting (at our expense, of course) and offered no reasoning as to why this could have happened. I called later to discuss the situation with the owner, who was incredibly condescending and offered no recourse. To quote Cec, "If you drive a car off the lot and get in an accident, do you call and complain to the sales rep?" As far as I'm concerned, if you buy a brand new car, drive it off the lot, and have a mechanical issue at 2,000 miles, you sure do. They send their jewelry off to be set by a third party and finish the design work in house. If they weren't able to come up with a design to support this diamond for basic wear, I wonder what we actually paid them for... The diamond in question was cut in the late 1800s... it made it all the way to Miller's in 2025 and then didn't make it more than 7 months of light wear. I'm sure their showroom pieces purchased from 3rd parties is fine but if you have custom work or require skilled service, I'd save your valuables and yourself the headache and head elsewhere. A very large and popular travel YouTube channel stopped outside of this store on a public sidewalk and the owner came out and really left a terrible impression on his store. He was actually quite a jerk to this father and son YouTube team. If this is how he treats people it would be wise to avoid his business like the plague. This is a genuine reaction to what I just watched and I'm not exaggerating in the least bit. It's disappointing to see business owners treat members of the public like trash. Please find a reputable jeweler. This store wrecked a nice, old diamond with an inappropriate setting and caused damage to the stone. It was not designed well and the work was not done well. This was my first time in the store. I was looking to sell or appraise some jewelry. I got profiled for being a 20 year old even though I'm a respected business man. Whoever was in charge refused to do business with me and made a big scene in public, border-lining defamation of character. As a businessman myself I completely understand these businesses have rights to refuse customers but it could have been done in a more professional discrete way without assumptions being made out loud as I do have a reputation to hold up. And I remind you I have no record of ever even being in this store before and therefore absolutely no record of any "suspicious" activity. I very politely left never to do business with them again. If I could give Miller's a zero star rating I would. The customer service was absolutely unacceptable. I visited the store with my sister the day before her wedding to pick up a family heirloom piece that was her "something blue" for her wedding. This ring was one of the most important pieces for the wedding, and my sister had worn the ring daily for over a decade. The ring was left in their care to be tightened in its original setting. When the ring was brought out to us they had turned the ring on its side and reoriented the center sapphire. My sister didn't even recognize the ring initially. They told her that it was "impossible" that the ring was ever oriented differently and called her a liar multiple times. They made her so upset she cried. The OWNER said she was "just emotional before her wedding". I have never experienced such horrendous customer service. I would and will NEVER place my jewelry or family jewelry in their care again. read more

I walked into Miller's with my daughter and walked out with a beautiful vintage bear pendant for her and I left my wedding rings to be resized. Never having set foot in this jewelry store prior I felt safe and comfortable leaving valuable diamond rings. They promised a speedy return time and said they will look like like new. They were ready on time and they are gorgeous. The jeweler had to add platinum and make larger for my finger that was broken. Walked into Miller's hoping for a Yogo sapphire engagement ring and not quite knowing what to expect! We were thrilled. Our salesperson, Maggie, was wonderful. She took her time with us yet we never felt pressured. I was so impressed that she didn't encourage us to go past our budget, not even once. She told us to go take some time and talk about our decision before making our purchase...but that wasn't necessary. We found exactly what we wanted! Also, we brought an heirloom ring that needed to be increased by 2 sizes. Right away they offered to resize it and had it done within a couple of hours. Our new ring was sized within 3 hours as well! They even sent us out the door with some good jewelry cleaner as we live out of town and can't return regularly for cleaning. I am used to jewelry stores taking weeks to return a ring for sizing. I'm also used to walking away feeling like I spent more than I wanted to. Really, really, pleasantly surprised and glad we could do business with them! Miller's Jewelry worked with my fiance to create the most stunning and one-of-a-kind engagement ring. We had visited numerous stores around Seattle and Bozeman, including Miller's, and had seen some rings that we liked but nothing that was "just right." My fiance went back to Miller's with an idea in mind and saw a ring in their catalog that caught his eye. It was a design we hadn't seen when we perused their display together, and although it wasn't exactly what we wanted, he thought that with some modifications it might be just perfect. Millers offered to help him customize it, adding channel-set diamonds and tweaking a few other features. A couple months later, after some back-and-forth with the Miller's designers, the ring arrived here in Seattle and found its way onto my finger! (YAY!!!) It is SUCH a gorgeous ring, unique from others I had seen during our ring shopping, yet still classic and elegant! The customer service has dropped significantly. I have had the sales people approach me outside of their job and ask "when is he going to pop the question." in front of friends and relatives, very rude. One I now know he has not bought anything, at least from you. Two I would not know, I'm not the one asking. When I step in there I am offered couple counsling without asking for any. I am in an awesome relationship, which is why we are pursuing marriage. My fiance spoke with someone this morning about getting my beautiful wedding rings rhodium plated and cleaned, the woman on the phone was friendly, genuine and accommodating to him. She expressed that it was no problem, and can often be completed in the same day. When we came in this afternoon, the first sales woman we spoke with was sweet, helpful, and excited for us in our new engagement. While filling out the forms to get the rhodium plating done, another sales woman, in her late 30s with blonde hair, stepped into our conversation. She took over the conversation and was immediately very rude and condescending. She asked if we had purchased our set at their store and was not friendly about it at all (which we did not, and had already asked the woman on the phone if that was a problem and it was not). When I said no, her attitude got worse. She told me that in order to get it in the same day that they would have to charge double their rates and it would cost $200!!!! She was so condescending and rude to me that I felt so awful. She ruined my exciting day! We got engaged on Monday! I couldn't wait to see my new ring sparkle. I was so upset with the way she was speaking to me that I picked up my things, and the filled out form and walked OUT! Afterwards I cried. I felt so offended by the way she spoke and treated me. I was not about to give this business my hard-earned money! I left and went to Jensen Jewelers in the mall. I was greeted with a warm smile and genuinely friendly staff. They were happy to have my business and I was able to have my ring plated and cleaned and back on my finger in 15 minutes, and at $60!! Not $200!!! WOW. My ONLY source in Bozeman for jewelry. Great, very friendly service folks. :-) They ALWAYS greet me by name. They clean our jewelry for free while we shop in their store, or even walk the streets in BXN. They keep great computer records of your past purchases, including wrist sizes, ring sizes, necklace lengths, earring clip styles, designers, etc. to make it easy to buy a piece you KNOW will fit. Great gift wrappers too....important to me, s a guy. Big variety of Montana Yogo Saphires. I show the store as "pricey" only because they sell jewelry, which ins never cheap, but relative to other stores not really.....very price competitive....especially with a nice discount here and there for their "regulars". A great variety of items, from reasonable priced gifts or personal items to very rare pricey items, even great collection of "estate" items. I keep coming back! :-) read more

My fiancee and I recently visited this store.We were appalled to learn that the employees working there are quick too profile their customers and discriminate against young middle class couples.They rudely ignored ignored us.We didnt even receive a smile or hello for that matter.The manager himself looked me up and down and then walked to another customer who was already being helped.After 10 mins we finally just left.When I called them to complain.The manager was again rude.I told him I would write this review.He told me good luck and hung up the phone..If you like being treated like a person do not go to Millers jewelry or you will be sorry!!
